FAQ

What if I don’t see any whales?
This tour has a whale guarantee, which means if no whale makes an appearance, you will be able to come back on the tour once more (or choose other Hawaii Nautical’s tour has equal or less price, including on Oahu) for free. However, no refund will be given in the event that a whale is not spotted.
How close will we get to the whales?
Due to federal regulations, the boat only can get close as 100 yards. It is against the law to chase or attempt to touch humpback whales. Once in range, the captain may turn off the engine to allow the whales to approach as close as they would like.
Is there a bathroom on board the boat?
No, there is no bathroom on the boat. However, there are public restrooms and showers on the beach park. Also the beach is located in front of the Marriott Waikoloa Hotel, where there are bars and restaurants.
