Head north, just half an hour from Hilo, toward Akaka Falls State Park and experience the zipline course rated #1 by Hawaii Magazine's 2016 Readers Choice Awards! Well-trained guides take you on a tour spanning six smaller zip lines, before you tackle the 3,350ft foot “big one” that will take you soaring over 250 foot Kolekole Falls. Rich in Hawaiian lore and history, you can see for yourself where it is said that the tears of the goddesses Maile and Lehua created the waterfalls in remembrance of the god Akaka.
