From Hilo: Travel north from Hilo on Highway 19. Near the 43 mile marker, turn right toward Honokaʻa onto Highway 240. At the four-way stop sign, continue straight on Highway 240 for approximately 8 miles. When reaching the Waipio/Kukuihaele fork in the road, stay left. The location will be about half a mile down this road on the right-hand side. A Waipio Valley Shuttle van will be parked on the roadside for easy identification.

From Kona: Take Highway 190 toward Waimea (this route is about 20 minutes faster than Highway 19). Continue through Waimea toward Hilo. Near the 44 mile marker, turn left toward Honokaʻa and proceed down the steep road. At the four-way stop sign, turn left onto Highway 240 and continue for about 8 miles. At the Waipio/Kukuihaele fork, stay left. The location will be about half a mile ahead on the right-hand side, marked by a Waipio Valley Shuttle van parked along the road.
