Activity Provider Captain Zodiac - Kona

Activity Provider

Q. Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?
A. Yes, please note that you may not bring any alcohol or glass containers.
Q. How close will the boat get to the whales?
A. Legally, no boat can come within 100 yards of a whale, they will get as close as possible without disturbing them.
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?
A. Gratuity is never required, but if you enjoyed your experience a tip is always greatly appreciated!
Q. What type of raft is used?
A. The 24-foot Rigid Hull Inflatable Zodiac vessel is powered by twin outboard motors that produce a quick moving and highly maneuverable ride. The rafts are perfect for exploring shallow coves, sea caves, and lava tubes located along the coastline. Passengers sit on the side pontoons and each boat can hold up to 16 passengers. All vessels are U.S. Coast Guard certified and inspected yearly and all captains are licensed by the Coast Guard.
