How does it work?

Embark on an exhilarating adventure from December 15 to March 31st, where you can witness the awe-inspiring Whale Watch Season and experience an unforgettable snorkel cruise!

On Sundays, the cruise departs from Anaeho’omalu Bay, and on Tuesdays and Fridays from Kawaihae Harbor. On every cruise, Ocean Sports provides high-quality snorkel gear, instructions, and marine life briefing to help you identify what you see when you get in the water.

Ocean Sports offers the best snorkeling experience along the Kona-Kohala Coast. The experienced Captains will select the perfect snorkel site from a variety of options, ensuring you can explore the finest reef based on the day's conditions.

After snorkeling, you can enjoy a picnic lunch and quench your thirst with soft drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails. Then, relax and enjoy a leisurely sail or cruise back to shore while you keep an eye out for magnificent whales.

Boat Information:

The Seasmoke is a 58 ft sailing catamaran that can accommodate up to 49 passengers. It is used for tours departing from Anaehoomalu Bay in Waikoloa. Vessel amenities include ample deck seating with twin forward trampolines and twin aft benches to accommodate maximum passenger capacity. There is a shaded cabin with a built-in bar and buffet area (limited seating). The vessel also has a single marine bathroom accessed through the cabin down 3 stairs. Other features include a fresh-water cold shower and a PA system with a hydrophone for listening to whale songs underwater.

The Alala is a 65ft power catamaran that can carry up to 76 passengers. It is used for tours departing from Kawaihae Harbor in Waikoloa. Vessel amenities include ample deck seating with twin forward trampolines, forward benches, aft benches, and couches to accommodate maximum passenger capacity. There is a shaded cabin with a built-in bar and buffet area, inside table seating for 8, and bench seating for an additional 19. The cabin also features floor-to-ceiling windows, twin marine bathrooms accessed at deck level, a fresh-water cold shower, and a PA system with a hydrophone to hear whale songs underwater.
