Haleakala is a 10,023-foot dormant shield volcano that forms 75% of Maui. The summit and crater are protected as Haleakala National Park. What to Wear
The summit of Haleakala is 30-40°F at sunrise, even in summer. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and bring a warm jacket, hat, and gloves.
