Feel the spirit of Aloha at one of Maui's most popular luau, and enjoy a Hawaii luau complete with a delicious Polynesian buffet, tasty and refreshing tropical cocktails, and an evening show filled with hula, the Tahitian ori, and even the awe-inspiring Siva Afi, the Samoan fire knife dance. You will be welcomed at this Maui luau with an authentic lei greeting and then feel free to explore the oceanfront grounds to learn about the culture and history of the island while the sun dips below the horizon. Whether you are looking for romantic Hawaiian evening, or a night with your ohana (family), there is something for everyone!

What is a luau? The Myths of Maui Luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort is a wonderful example of the party and feast that makes a Hawaii luau so iconic. Dating back for hundreds of years in ancient Hawaii, the luau is a celebration that normally always features a wide variety of food, and of course, entertainment!

Even in modern times, a luau will have kalua pork, a whole roasted pig cooked for a day in an imu, an underground oven that is dug into the sand or dirt, lined with heated lava rocks, and then covered in ti leaf and burlap sacks. It is always a thrill to see the pig come out of the imu! Other delicious dishes include lomi lomi salmon, a mixture of fresh salmon, tomatoes, onions and Hawaiian rock salt, poi, a staple of Hawaiian cuisine made from mashed boiled taro root, and the sweet and creamy haupia, a coconut custard that is always a hit!
