- Groups of two with a combined weight of 420 lbs (191 kilograms) or more will be required to purchase a comfort seat at the cost of one additional seat.
- Participants weighing 240 lbs (108 kg) or more will be required to purchase a comfort seat at the cost of an additional seat.
- A maximum combined weight of 1,040 lbs (472 kilograms) is allowed for any six passengers on a single flight.
- Passengers seated in the front seats must have a combined weight that does not exceed 380 lbs (172 kilograms).
Other requirements
- Participants will be weighed upon check-in.
- Per FAA regulations, any child who has reached their second birthday must occupy their own seat and will be charged the full seat price. Children under 2 years old may ride as a lap child at no additional cost.
Required items to bring & attire
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- Guests are encouraged to wear dark clothing to reduce window reflections and improve photo quality during the flight.

Q. Is there a safe place to store my belongings while on tour?
A. Yes, you can to safely store your belongings at the Air Maui base during your flight.
Q. Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?
A. Gratuity is never required, but if you enjoyed your experience a tip is always greatly appreciated!
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last-minute bookings are often possible, but availability is limited.
Q. If I don't get a window seat, what will the visibility be like?
A. If you do not have a window seat you will be seated next to someone else in your group. Solo travelers will most likely get a window seat unless weight balance makes it impossible. For couples, it is easy to look over your partner from the inner seat.
Q. What kind of helicopter will be used?
A. An Aerospatiale / American Eurocopter A-Star 350BA - Aerial 1B Engine with all of the current modifications (Ceramic Swirl Plate, MO5 Gears) will be used. This 1996 Helicopter is outfitted with air-conditioning, 2 compact disc players, Bose Headsets, a 5-camera system and viewing monitors. It is currently the only A-Star that offers 180-degree unobstructed views!
