Check-in at Honokohau Harbor
Begin your evening at Honokohau Harbor with a safety briefing led by expert local guides, followed by signing waivers and getting fitted with a wetsuit and snorkel gear. This ensures you are fully prepared and comfortable before boarding the boat for your sunset and manta ray night snorkel tour.

Board the boat and head out along the Kona Coast as the sky darkens and the ocean comes alive. Enjoy a scenic cruise to the snorkel site while your guides explain how the high-intensity LED light boards attract manta rays and what you can expect during the experience.

Enjoy a scenic sunset cruise to the snorkel site as your guide shares safety tips and fascinating facts about manta rays. With a small group on board, you'll have a relaxed atmosphere, closer interaction with your guide, and time to enjoy the ocean at your own pace.

Enter the water using a ladder and hold onto a custom LED light board as you float on the surface, surrounded by a soft, glowing light. With added floatation and expert guidance, you will stay comfortably at the surface while watching the manta rays swim and feed beneath on this unique adventure.

Manta rays are among the ocean’s most graceful giants, growing up to 5 meters wide and weighing as much as 730 kilograms. They move with slow, elegant loops that resemble an underwater ballet. Despite their size, they are completely harmless, with no teeth, barbs, or stingers as they swim near you.
After snorkeling, warm up with hot cocoa, enjoy refreshing cold drinks and light island-style snacks, and try a cup of mamaki tea, a traditional Hawaiian herbal tea made from a plant found only in the Hawaiian Islands. Mamaki has a smooth, mild flavor and is naturally caffeine free.
