Location, direction and description

From Lahaina / Kaanapali: Drive south on Honoapiilani Highway (HI-30) past the Maui Ocean Center, then turn right onto North Kihei Road (HI-310). Continue onto Piilani Highway (HI-31) and follow it toward Wailea. Near the Shops of Wailea, turn left onto Wailea Alanui Drive. Continue about 1.7 miles past the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel until you see the blue sign for Makena Landing on the right (ocean side). Turn right on Hono Iki Road and follow it downhill to the landing area.
From Kihei / Wailea: Head south on South Kihei Road and continue onto Wailea Alanui Drive. Drive past the Shops of Wailea and the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel. Look for the blue sign for Makena Landing on the right (ocean side). Turn right on Hono Iki Road and follow it downhill to the landing area.

- Guests with neck, back or joint problems are not permitted to participate in this activity.
- This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
- If less than 4 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
- Children 9 years old and above can participate in this activity.
- Guests with mobility concerns must be able to transfer into a kayak with limited assistance and sit upright on their own while paddling. The Early Morning Turtle Reef Discovery is recommended for those with limited mobility, as calmer waters and lighter paddling make it more accessible.
- Weight Limit: For a single kayak the capacity is 300 lbs (136 kg), and for a double kayak the capacity is 500 lbs (227 kg).
- Although this paddle is rated as “easy,” guests should be in good physical condition and able to paddle a kayak.
Other requirements
- Participants are required to sign a liability waiver at the time of check-in.
- Minors are required to have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver.

- You can book a minimum of 1 and maximum of 20.
