• On Tuesdays and Thursdays, this Kona adventure snorkel will normally go to Kealakekua Bay, an ocean preserve that is well known for having some of the best snorkeling in all of Hawaii.
• Reef-safe sunscreen will be provided on the tour, so don’t worry if you forgot yours! Of course the best protection from the sun will be to stay under the shade awning, especially closer to midday.
• There is so much to do around Kailua-Kona, so make sure to stick around after the tour to explore the area! With its early heiau (temples) and petroglyphs, Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historic Park will satisfy any history buff; and there is plenty to eat for any foodies, including the coffee that Kona is most famous for.
• One of the best parts of snorkeling is witnessing the graceful, enchanting sea life in its natural habitat of aquamarine waters. You’ll likely see honu (sea turtles) and manta rays, as well as various species of tropical fish, at any point in the year.

How to get there?

The Ilima Court Shopping Center is located in the heart of Kailua, near Historic Kailua Village. Kailua is accessible from Hawaii Belt Road or Route 19. There is also a bus stop nearby for the 201 bus, and free parking is also available.

Kailua-Kona is about 15 minutes by car from Keauhou, and an hour from Kohala Coast, depending on traffic conditions. If you are coming from resorts on the other side of the island, such as Hilo or Puna, plan on about 2 hours for your drive time. Rideshare options are also available, and would be the most convenient and affordable option for guests staying in Kailua or anywhere else on the Kona coast.
