Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. They are not required for the surfing lesson since they will make it difficult for you to get back on your board. However, life jackets are required to be worn while kayaking.
Q. Why is the age requirement different on the two activities?
A. Each activity snorkels at a different location and age requirements are based on ocean conditions. Turtle Reef is located in calm surroundings, making it great for beginner paddlers and kids 5 & older. The West Maui Safari is great for families, but is better suited for kids 7 & up.
Q. What are surf booties?
A. Surf booties are rubber footwear that helps protect your feet and aids you while standing and moving around on your surfboard. Great for reef walking!
