Restrictions
- Guests with heart and cardiovascular issues are not permitted to participate in this activity.
- Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.
- This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
- If less than 4 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
- Children 8 years old and above can participate in this activity.
- Each participant MUST weigh between 60 lbs (27 kg) and 260 lbs (118 kg). Please provide accurate body weights during booking as you will be weighed at check-in. Misrepresentation of body weight will result in denial of service without a refund.
- Guests MUST be physically able to hike 2 miles at elevation and over uneven terrain.
- Not recommended for those who have had recent surgery or with serious back or joint problems.
- Guests who have scuba dived within the last 24 hours should not ascend Haleakala due to the high risk of decompression sickness.
Other requirements
- Guests 10-15 must have an adult zipping in their party. A legal guardian must sign a release and waiver for kids under 18.
- Must be able to walk 2 miles at elevation over uneven surfaces. Guests will be required to complete a “step test” at check-in to ensure they possess the necessary mobility as well as ability to step on/off our 4×4 vehicles without assistance.

- You can book a maximum of 12.
Required items to bring & attire
- Shoes: Must be snug, with a fully enclosed toe and heel (athletic/hiking shoe). No water or 5-finger shoes, Teva, Crocs or Keen-type sandals with open sections.
