Outdoor Adventures

We had a really great time on our charter on Tues Nov 11th. It was blowing hard in the morning but the crew managed to find us an area that was out of the wind. Captain Zach, Gauge and Styles(?.... Can't quite remember h... moreis name) were truly the best part of the whole thing. They were all super engaging and gave a lot of information about the sea life around the island, although the Captain might need to work on his jokes a little! Haha. I would highly recommend this charter company to anyone. Thanks guys! - Leroy, Nathanda and the boys.

This tour starts early, but it is worth it.
Nice bus great friendly driver.
The climb is fast paced if you want to reach the top in time for sunrise, not easy and you will be out of breath.

Russ was a fantastic tour guide. We felt he was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about his island. Everything was well organized from the ferry to transportation once we got there. We stayed on the island and took ... morethe 5:30 pm ferry. Our driver took us to the cat sanctuary and then picked us up and took us to the Four Seasons to chill until it was time to head to the ferry. He then came back and took us to the ferry. This was all very much appreciated!

This was a great hike. My husband and I aren’t expert hikers but found this to be enjoyable. The trail is very uneven but most trails are. Wear comfy shoes and take water to stay hydrated. It takes about an hour to get t... moreo the top and the views above Honolulu are amazing. We had time to take pictures and enjoy before heading back down. The driver of the shuttle was funny and made the trip even better.

Our guide was from Hawaii, born on Maui, and has been living on the Big Island for two years. He was handsome, had a great voice, and was genuinely kind. The weather wasn’t ideal — it was cloudy, though we did see the se... morea of clouds and a bit of sunlight breaking through. It still felt magical watching the sunset above the clouds, even without a clear sky. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any stars that night, probably due to the season (I went in late October). But the next day, on another tour, I did see a sky full of stars — so it’s still possible! Be prepared for altitude sickness; I felt lightheaded at the summit and was glad we descended soon after sunset. Overall, it was a good experience despite the bumpy mountain road — and it felt great to have “checked off” the highest mountain in the world (from base to peak).

Not only do you get to see filming locations of some popular films, but you get to learn some history about island and the ranch as well. Amazing and great people!
