For guests staying in Historic Hilo Town, on the east side of the Big Island, this is home to beautiful Hilo Bay, bustling farmers markets, original Hawaii food favorites, and candy factories. With a consistently wet rainforest climate, the area is filled with dramatic waterfalls and hiking trails that are ripe for exploration. Once known for its production of sugar cane, a fascinating variety of Western, Asian, Hawaiian, and Polynesian influences still enrich the town.
