FAQDo I need to be able to swim to participate?- No, it is not required. Snorkeling involves floating on the ocean surface and looking down at the beauty below. There are plenty of snorkel vests and noodles for extra flotation to help put you at ease.
Are we allowed to bring in our own food and drinks?- No, but drinks and snacks are provided.
Are you required to wear a life jacket?- No, life jackets are not required.
Can I go into the sea caves on this tour?- Yes, weather permitting, you will be entering several sea caves along the coast. The longer the tour, the more sea caves we are able to enter to explore!
What kind of boat will be used?- Hop aboard one of the three 26-foot heavy duty Naiad Rafts with twin 130 HP Honda Engines, 4 stroke/no smoke which can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests or a 22-foot heavy duty Nauticas with twin 50 HP Yamaha Engines, 4 stroke/no smoke which can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. There are no restrooms on board and no canopies for shade. Canopies prevent the rafts from accessing the intricate caves for exploration.
Will we see whales?- Every year Humpback Whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii, and although not guaranteed, they are often seen between the months of December and April.
Do I have to know how to swim in order to participate?- Not at all! Snorkeling simply involves floating along the surface of the water and looking down at the marine life below.You'll be able to breathe with the snorkeling tube as long as you stay at the surface. Flotation devices are readily available, so you won't have to worry about knowing how to swim or snorkel before participating in this activity.
