Haleakala Stargazing Tours

Yoshi was amazing, he made the entire trip up and down the mountain entertaining just by his talking, facts and nice collection of soothing music. We went with a full bus and still managed to make room for one extra fami... morely member, so eight of the back we were grateful for this. The entire sight on the top of the mountaintop was beautiful and alien like but the highlight was the star gazing where Yoshi quickly set up his two telescopes and chairs and blankets for everyone along with the jackets he had already provided us. This coupled with his extensive knowledge of the stars made the entire trip a once in a lifetime experience. I only hope that my soon to be wife and I can take our future children to this tour with Yoshi. I’ll put it to you like this, even if we hadn’t seen any stars I would have been happy just having him drive us up and down the mountain and I had already done it myself, that’s how much I enjoyed his commentary and the ride.

Yoshi was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide with the whole experience being relaxed. We saw some wonderful, once in a lifetime sights. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time and this was the best sunset and stargazing tour that my friend and I have participated in. Mr. Yoshi was very friendly from start to finish -- he made sure that we had time to eat food, st... moreay hydrated, and rest well as we climbed in elevation. I was originally worried I wouldn't get to get my stamp for my national park passport because of the visitor center closure, but Mr. Yoshi asked the entrance park employee for a stamp on a post-it note, and it made my day! He knew the best places for sunset, and was very knowledgeable about all the stars. We learned so much about the sky, and enjoyed peaceful moments just looking up. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending time on Maui!

Snorkeling will be on many people’s “must-do” activity in Maui, but so should the Sunset and Stargazing tour in Haleakala with Yoshi! I went with my family and we haven’t stopped talking about how incredible the tour was... more. Yoshi is incredibly personable and every aspect of the tour is so thoughtful. With 20+ years of living in Maui and leading tours of the national park, Yoshi knows the best spots for sightseeing and has great local knowledge to share on the drive up to Haleakala. His state of the art telescopes allow you to see all kinds of constellations and we even got to see Saturn. The complimentary Krispy Crème donuts were a tasty treat and the music selection was so peaceful. I can’t recommend Yoshi and the tour enough. If you’re wanting to see Haleakala, definitely book with Yoshi. Mahalo!

It was such a great experience - thanks to Yoshi. He is such a warm and friendly person who really takes care of making it a marvelous trip. He is a safe driver, knows the best secret spots where you can enjoy a peaceful... more sunset and he is well equipped with his telescopes for stargazing. It was an enchanting experience all around!

Sunset and Stargazing was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We were taken to the top of Halakela to see the amazing views, then due to the crowds we went a little lower to a secluded viewing area, chairs were... more provided, snacks and tea. Watched a amazing sunset, were provided Jackets as it gets cold after the sunset. Stargazing was unreal! Two powerful Telescopes were used, saw stars and the craters of the moon like never have. It was a memory of a lifetime.
