What is the difference between the packages?
Te Au Moana Luau at the Wailea Beach Resort offers two different luau packages, and they all include a souvenir lei greeting, three-course family-style dinner, an open bar, and world class entertainment.
- Standard seating: A maximum of 10 guests will be seated at each table, and the tables are located on the sides and behind the Premium seating in front of the stage.
- Premium seating: Enjoy the best views of the luau with seating in the first, second, and third rows of the central tables.
Local expert tips
- This activity books up quickly, and we highly suggest booking at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons like summer and spring break.
- The Premium seating is directly in front of the stage, which will allow you to see the performers up close
- Guests staying in Kihei and Wailea will definitely enjoy the quick drive to the Te Au Moana Luau. There is no need to go all the way to Lahaina and Kaanapali for a memorable luau evening.
- A family-friendly luau, children ages 5 and below get in free, and they will each get their own seat and plate of food.
- The oceanside location is the perfect place to take photos during the luau. This picture perfect spot is great for selfies and portraits on Maui.
- Recommend attire: Resort casual or Aloha wear, with a light jacket or sweater. Flat shoes are a better option than high heeled shoes since the grounds are uneven with grass.

How to get there?
The Te Au Moana luau is located at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the south western coast of Maui. While transportation is not provided for any of the luaus on Maui, the Te Au Moana luau is easily accessible by car, taxi, or ride from all major resort areas on the island.
For guests staying in Kihei and Wailea, the luau is anywhere from a 5 to 15 minute drive. From Lahaina or Kaanapali, it is approximately 30 miles away and depending on the traffic conditions, it can take between 45 minutes to an hour to drive to the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.
Ample parking is available at the hotel, and the bellhop or front desk can also assist in arranging a taxi at the end of your luau.
