We had a free afternoon on the Big Island and wanted to check out the Waipio Valley. After a little research, we found that the only way for non-locals to visit was with an official guide. The Waipio shuttle is a custom ... morevehicle designed to safely navigate the tricky terrain - including steep grade and crossing shallow rivers. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! Not only could he expertly drive us where we needed to go, but he also offered to take photos at each beautiful stop. This was a highlight of our trip!

The Royal Kona Resort Luau was a fantastic oceanfront experience. The setting overlooking the water was beautiful, especially at sunset, and the evening was well organized from start to finish

The food and show were both great. It seemed like a smaller venue than one we went to on Maui a few years ago, which was nice because there was less wait to get food and every seat had a great view of the show. Great for... more the kids, it wrapped up around 7:30pm. Fire dance was pretty cool as well.
