I can not say enough about this school. I had an awesome time. I was incredibly nervous bt the instructors where patient and supportive. I had a great time and suggest everyone try them out.

Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. No, it is advised that you not to wear a life jacket because it will actually get in the way more than help you.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. No, you will not need to know how to swim for this tour, but it is preferred that you know how to tread water and doggy paddle.
Q. How big are the surfboards?
A. Surfboards are available in a variety of different sizes, but the 10~11 foot boards are used for the lessons.
Q. Will there be time to surf on our own after our lesson?
A. No, there will be no time to surf after your lesson and Hawaiian Fire Surf School does not offer surfboard rentals.
Q. What kind of experience do the instructors have?
A. Your instructors are the recipients of the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau "Keep It Hawaii" award. Often considered to be one of the best surfing companies in Hawaii, many of the instructors are Honolulu City Firefighters and hold certifications in safety. Among these are CPR, First Responder, Open Water Rescue and many more! Feel at ease in the water with their years of surfing experience and numerous safety certifications. The staff's highest priority is providing guests with a safe learning environment and unforgettable experience. At any given lesson at least one Firefighting Instructor will be present.
