New Year's

Staying at Hilton and having the luau on property made it easy with kiddos!

Good: the performers and MC where good. Bad: Food and Drink where minimum. Selection was limited. All seemed a little cheap. No quality drink choices. Best tequila was Cuervo Gold, really! What decade are we in. Ugly: th... moree setting terrible. On a roof at the conference center. No ambiance. A conference room on the roof. Hilton could and should do better. I will not recommend. I picked this Luau mostly because of proximity to our hotel. That was a mistake. It was the worst experience of our week stay in Oahu.

My family are really excited to have luau buffet and the show and this was main activity for our trip. Overall show and music was great. But the buffet food was not. Luau pork was dry and chicken was hard to chew. Also d... moreesert was not at that quality for the price.

Overall the event was nice. Food was good, but the table settings were cramped! It was uncomfortable to be so close to the person sitting next to me and trying to enjoy my food and avoid physical contact. The bar only h... moread beer/wine and no other alcohol. The entertainment was good, but there was no dance floor or dancing!! Considering this is a NYE party and the price, there should have been dancing. Instead, they moved us from the ballroom to a 2nd floor balcony for the fireworks, but again, no dancing. We noticed the party below us had a live band and dance floor, so we ended up crashing their party. In addition, there was no transportation either by taxi or ride share after the party. We and three other couples were stranded at the hotel after the party for over 2 hours as taxi's were busy and both Uber/Lyft had no drivers available. Again, considering the price for the event and calling it a "Luxury celebration" it lacked dancing and a party atmosphere to celebrate the New Year.

It was a wonderful new year. When the New Year's fireworks started, everyone went in the same direction and the boat tilted, which was a rare experience.
