Schedule
Check-in at the Royal Kona Resort
Receive a shell lei before exploring the grounds and seeing the many cultural activities that are available. Learn how to dance the Hawaiian hula, try your hand at twirling Maori poi balls (te poi), see how a floral lei is made, and even take a peek at the Hawaiian tattoo (kakau) demonstrations.
Have your cameras ready as the torches surrounding the luau are lit, and a roasted pig is lifted from an underground oven. In Hawaii, the underground oven is called an imu, and is a traditional and ancient way of cooking. The imu ceremony is unique to the islands, and this is a great opportunity.
Eat your fill of delicious Polynesian and Pan-Pacific dishes that showcase the tasty food culture of the islands. As you try the many different types of food, also enjoy drinks from the premium open bar featuring tropical cocktails, soft drinks, beer, wine, and more. The perfect island refreshments!
Take a beautiful journey across the Pacific with world-class performers sharing music, song and dance. From the gentle movements of modern hula and the thumping drum beat of Tahitian dance and ancient Hawaiian hula, to the heart-stopping Samoan fire-knife dance, this is the best show in Hawaii!
