Q. Are we allowed to bring food and drinks?
A. Yes, there is a cooler already on board to help keep your food and drinks cold. However, glass containers are not allowed and bananas are considered bad luck on Hawaiian fishing vessels.
Q. Are we allowed to keep any fish we catch?
A. On a private charter you can keep whole fish. On shared charters, all fish are shared between participants of the whole charter.
Q. Can we just throw our fish back if we are just fishing for fun?
A. Catch and release is allowed on private charters only.
Q. Do I need any prior experience to participate in this activity?
A. No experience is required!
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. What kind of boat will be used?
A. The "Bite Me" IV is a 38 foot Hatteras which has a professional Captain and crew and is equipped with tournament ready rods and reels! Also, as an added security, all passengers are outfitted with personal flotation devices before ever setting foot on board.
