Pricey- and kinda lame
Reviewed by: Kate, 2024/05/01The atv was basically a track on a large piece of property- nice view but guess we had expected a ride to woods to a waterfall. The waterfall view is best from the gift shop but it was fun to swim in their river. Didn’t feel like we were really out in nature.
My husband wanted to go faster on the atv- but it was fine for me as a newbie and more cautious person. The guides were very nice. It was overall ok- but very pricey for the experience we thought.

Highly recommend the trip - there's no way someone could get all of this on their own

We learned a lot about the day-to-day lives and history of the people in the valley. He was so friendly, welcoming & willing to answer any and all questions. He pointed out local birds & stopped to grab & show us a chameleon from a tree & paused again when a group of wild horses joined on the road. Also, the parking & check-in process were super easy plus the shop had bathrooms, several cute gift options and snacks/coffee available for purchase.

Fantastic Tour Into A Most Special Valley
Reviewed by: Volcam , 2024/04/21My wife and I were treated to a magnificent drive down the unusually steep road into Waipio Valley in the early afternoon of Thursday, 4/18/24. Our tour guide Kaleo is a great young man who has lived in this unique place for most of his life; he grew up here. Kaleo was friendly, very knowledgeable, and very hospitable. He led us to several spectacular sites including waterfalls, lush foliage, and flowing streams. One could readily sense the tremendous power and majesty of this valley. We will treasure the opportunity we had to visit here. Our tour was for 1.75 hours. We HIGHLY recommend taking time to experience this great tour!

Excellent hospitality!

クジラは一応見られましたが、その前に、船酔いしない人向けです！

お手洗いも割とキレイですし、広めでした。
出発直後は青い海、広い海に感動しました！
船から見るハワイ島の大自然も最高でした！
波の高い時期だったのかもしれませんが、とにかく揺れがすごく絶叫マシーン並みで、船内に体調不良者続出で、もらい◯◯しないように海を見続けていました。
1時間以上激しい揺れの中進んでもクジラは見つからず、Uターンして出航して2時間半経ち、出発地点にかなり近くなってきたところで遠くにクジラが見えました。一緒に参加した2人は具合が悪過ぎて何も見られず私の撮った動画で見れたことにしよう、と納得した、と言う感じでした。
私は船酔いしないタイプなので大丈夫でしたが、船酔いする方にはあまりオススメではないかもしれません。

Unfortunately motion sickness is a factor anytime anyone goes on a boat. The vast majority of our guests do fine. Sending well wishes that you experienced motion sickness. There are over the counter remedies for motion sickness like Dramamine and Bonine. These medications work best if taken at least an hour prior to boarding.

Deluxe Captain Cook Snorkeling Tour at Kealakekua Bay - Fair Wind Cruises
Our first time, but not our last!
Reviewed by: Michelle M, 2024/03/18We loved everything about this tour! The boat was comfortable and clean and there was plenty of room for our gear. The food was excellent. My husband and I are omnivores, but we thoroughly enjoyed the vegan lunch and breakfast! The snorkeling was so much fun and we were fortunate enough to have perfect weather. We brought our own snorkel equipment and fins, but the boat was equipped with all of that plus life vests, pool noodles, inner tubes, sun screen and anti fog spray for masks. Last, but most importantly, the crew was amazing. Everyone was so caring and helpful and made sure we felt comfortable and safe in the water and out. We will be sure to book with Fair Wind Cruises again when we travel to the Big Island.

２月の旅行だったので鯨に確実に遭遇できるだろうと期待に胸を膨らませて乗船。
潮吹きや大きな息遣いも目の当たりにした約2時間のクルーズでした。
もっと大きな鯨が近くで見られると思っていたので少し残念ではありました。
船が揺れるので軽食は食べませんでした。
貴重な経験ができて良かったです。

It’s a great experience. Last time in March 2022 we took three grandsons and son in law. Very fun trip. They have a fantastic time. This time I took a friend who had never been to island. Awesome whale watching adventure

The crew were great, we enjoyed the snacks and drinks. It was just about perfect, loved the boat, could have stayed out on the water for hours if allowed. Definitely will do again and recommend this cruise.
