The Hale Kai is a custom-built 34-foot power catamaran designed for small-group ocean wildlife tours along Oahu’s west coast. Built in Hilo, Hawaii, the vessel features a stable twin-hull design, shaded areas, sunny deck space, a private restroom, freshwater shower, dry storage, wide swim steps, and an open layout for wildlife viewing, photography, snorkeling, and easy ocean entry.

How to get there?

This tour departs from Waianae Boat Harbor on Oahu’s west coast. Free parking is available near the pier and harbor parking areas, but guests should not park in long trailer parking spaces to avoid possible tickets. Check in at the pier gate marked with an “A” above the gate. Transportation is not included, so guests will need to drive, rent a car, or arrange taxi or rideshare service. The harbor is approximately 25 to 30 minutes from Ko Olina and about 1 to 1.5 hours from Waikiki, depending on traffic.
