Overview
Schedule
Check-in at Waikiki Beach Services Pool Desk at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel

Celebrate the life of a loved one with an ash scattering ceremony on an outrigger canoe in Waikiki. The expert local crew will assist with paddling as you journey to a calm spot offshore. This serene and memorable experience includes cultural guidance and professional photos to capture the moment.

Once aboard the canoe, paddle out with the guidance of your local crew to the open ocean off Waikiki, where a loved one’s ashes can be gently scattered. Surrounded by the sea and sky, you may choose to say a prayer, sing a song, play music, or simply sit in quiet reflection as you say "Aloha."

At the conclusion of each burial at sea, the crew honors the departed with a meaningful final tribute. In true Waikiki Beachboy tradition, they will catch and surf a wave back to shore, a symbolic gesture known as “the last wave,” representing the soul’s return to peace and the embrace of the ocean.
