The Surf Bus North Shore Fun Tour - Snorkel, Bike, Kayak, SUP & Waterfall

Enjoyed snorkeling wish we would of seen turtles though. Kayaking time was limited we had to go back to the bus to head back to Waikiki. We did get to visit the small towns on our way to North Shore that grows fresh vegetable and fruits, I think the two stops caused us to use up time on the water activities.

Jackson was a GREAT tour guide-very funny, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He told us lots of stories about the stops we visited, local background information, and gave good restaurant recommendations. Best stops were the macadamia nut farm and Fumi’s shrimp truck. I only wish we had made extra stops for musubi, poke, or Ted’s Bakery but overall I enjoyed myself and I wasn’t too full. I recommend this tour if you're looking to visit the North Shore and sample yummy food along the way. Thank you Jackson for a WONDERFUL day trip :)

He knew all about the sites. The history, the traditions, and the Hawaiian language for everything. He also knew how to keep us on a schedule but with plenty of time to enjoy each stop. I can’t express how much more having him for a guide made a difference but wouldn’t want anyone else and you will be lucky if you get Kalani.

Around Oahu in a day
Reviewed by: Zeljko Pasara, 2022/09/01We had a fantastic day on our tour. It just so happened that me and my daughter were the only people signed up on the day of our tour. Our guide Stephanie was absolutely fantastic, fun loving and easy going with her knowledge of the island. We started at the Halona blowhole and found out the beach nearby was used in the movie “From Here to Eternity”. Lunch at the Kahuku Sugar Mill with a smorgasbord of food trucks should be able to satisfy any hunger. The recommendation of Giovanni’s for garlic prawns by Stephanie was spot on, they were delicious.
With great anticipation of seeing turtles on the sand at Haleiwa Beach Park we were slightly disappointed. It was great we were able to see them in the water occasionally bobbing their heads up for air.
The last stop at Dole Plantation was great, it is where we tasted our first Dole Whip which was absolutely delicious.
I would recommend this tour to give you a better idea about the Oahu Island and the different experiences available to you.

Oahu Island Sightseeing Tour & Polynesian Cultural Center Admission Tickets
Best tour!
Reviewed by: Th56, 2022/08/27This was an all day tour and we’ll worth doing the deluxe package. Wes was our driver. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it rained we still got to see sights from the bus! Polynesian culture center was outstanding. I thought I was getting luau but it was a buffet. But the Breath of Life show was worth the whole day!! Outstanding!!!! Highly recommend adding this to your package!

Oahu Ultimate Circle Island Tour, Waimea Waterfalls & Hawaiian Food Experience

Reviewed by: Dee, 2022/08/23Circle island tour was disappointing for the cost. This tour was more expensive compared to others that had the same stops. The waterfall stop was allotted for 2 hours, but the waterfall didn’t have water. We specifically did this tour instead of others because of the waterfall stop. We could of saved at least $80 if it was a known thing that the waterfall frequently doesn’t have water.
The driver was overall knowledgeable and kind. He did eat while talking into the mic and driving, which is distracting. All the group could concentrate on was the chewing. He also constantly tapped both the brake and gas causing a jerking motion for 10 hour straight. Thankfully no one in our group easily gets car sick.

We were able to try some of the best spots on the island such as Leonards bakery, and the bald guy, along with the visit to the beer garden. He even took us to places that weren’t on the schedule, and we couldn’t thank him enough! We stopped at a beach on the north side where we were able to watch dolphins. We were so happy to have Jonah along our side with amazing knowledge and to give us the do’s and dont's of hawaii. We highly recommend to book this tour with Jonah for your first time to get that hawaiian experience you’re looking for! Thank you Jonah so so much for everything! (Especially the horses!)

Ultimate Oahu Circle Island Guided Nature Tour & Waimea Waterfall with Lunch
Disappointed for sure!
Reviewed by: Dan, 2022/07/15I was under the impression we were on a smaller shuttle bus, not a big bus. By the time we got picked up we had to sit in the back of the bus. Only a few people wore masks. I had paid more for this tour because I thought it was in a smaller vehicle. I saw many smaller shuttles and was told by the tour guide that this company used to use smaller shuttles but now went to the big bus. The tour guide knew a lot about the island that was interesting but it was obvious that he was sure high on himself. We spent a lot of time riding the bus and getting on and off. Last time I was on Oahu I rented a car and it was much more enjoyable.

We use a deluxe motor coach for several reasons:
1. The coach has much larger windows than smaller buses and allows for better views.
2. The seats are much more comfortable than minibus seats.
3.The air conditioning system is far superior to smaller buses.
4.We have a dedicated ,professional bus driver AND a second person who provides detailed educational and entertaining narration without being distracted by also having to drive.
Minibuses have the same person driving and narrating.
Masks no longer need to be worn inside as of April,2022.
In order to see and visit the amazing locations on our adventure we have to drive over 100 miles so you not only have the opportunity to visit O'ahu's premier attractions but also see some of the best scenery on Earth.

Best day of our trip to Oahu!
Reviewed by: Jessica, 2022/07/10We are so happy that we decided to book this tour! We didn't rent a car due to the cost of the rental in addition to the parking fees and hassle. There were several spots we wanted to see but they were not walking distance from our hotel. We got to check off so many off our wish list during the tour! All in one day and without having to drive ourselves. There were also quick stops that our driver did on top of an already awesome itinerary. We got to eat malasadas from Leonard's and pineapple macadamia nut cheesecake from Ted's Bakery. The food truck stop had so many choices! We got to check off Giovanni's garlic shrimp off of our list too. The driver was so knowledgeable and funny. He also offered to take pictures of us. The van was clean and spacious as well. It doesn't require a lot of walking so it's perfect for people of all ages. You also get to see the other side of Oahu beyond the tourist spots. Definitely recommend!

Fun day with all the Hawaii must sees!
Reviewed by: Jill Castro, 2022/07/03The day was perfect. It was an early start but I honestly couldn’t imagine doing Diamond Head any later. Bring water bottles or you’ll be thirsty! Then we got to stop at the Leonard’s bakery truck which is one of the must haves while you are here!! From there you make 7-8 stops at all the iconic beaches, food stops and more! Our tour guide was amazing. He wasn’t overly talkative which we all appreciated so we could have some conversation but he was super knowledgeable and told us some super awesome things about Hawaii and the local secrets! We decided as a group to skip the last beach because we were all beat from the full day but I would totally recommend anyone looking to see all the things while in Hawaii!!

Great full day adventure!

This hike I would consider moderate, and is a spectacular view of the city and naturescape of Waikiki/ Honolulu. We continued on to several stops around the island of Oahu that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to see as we didn’t rent a car for this trip. This full day adventure allows you to see many sites as well as learn about the region via a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!!

Reviewed by: VVill, 2022/07/02It was so worth it!!! We were glad that we took this tour, we had the chance to see how beautiful the view was from the top of Diamond Head. We sweat a lot but it was a good exercise early in the morning. We had multiple stops and saw a lot of stunning views. Our lunch stop was in an area with multiple food trucks. There’s a lot to choose from but it looks like Giovanni’s shrimp scampi is the most popular. No regret that we go with the hype as their shrimp was so tasty garnished with a good amount of garlic. Need more rice please lol. Stephanie our tour guide/ driver was so nice, she was very patient and seemed to really enjoy what she is doing. There’s so much pride in her when she is showing this area of Hawaii. Thank you Stephanie for your warm service.

Diamond Head hike/North Shore
Reviewed by: MayV, 2022/07/02It was just perfect to start our stay in Oahu with a familiarity of the area around our hotel from our guide Stephanie and proceeded to hike in Diamond Head. It was challenging to go up to the top but worth it to see the very nice view during sunrise. We were given enough time on this hike, so no need to rush. Our tour guide/driver Stephanie was very nice and informative. We were just a smaller group of 6, and so the tour became so friendly and personal. We made a lot of stops and took a lot of beautiful pictures.

Awesome Escape from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki
Reviewed by: Vickie, 2022/07/01This was a fantastic tour. My husband and I are extremely pleased that we did not rent a car as suggested and do this tour on our own. There were only four of us on this tour so it was very intimate. Everything from the pick up to the drop off was great. All of the sites, including the very creatively named "Sandy Beach" were amazing to behold. The thing that made this tour special was our tour guide Stephanie. I loved learning the historical information and funny tidbits about the places that we visited, as well as some of the things that we saw on the way. Stephanie even laughed at some of my husband's not-so-funny jokes (bless you). Those are the types of things that add a little magic to your trip and what you miss when you rent a car and drive on your own.
Words of advice, bring cash for the food truck place that you will stop at for lunch. Also, I suggest finding a truck of the "main" part. We shared an absolutely amazing plate of food. We also had a lobster dog cause who could resist. Was worth the $12. Lastly, don't try to share a dole whip. They are sooo good, you will want your own. No need to wait in that line twice like we did.

Awesome trip!

An 11 hour day is a long day but it didn't feel like it because we were so loving every step of the trip and jojo's stories and support was great!

Amazing tour
Reviewed by: Victoria Castaneda, 2022/06/24At first I was skeptical to book this tour because of the early morning start of the tour (my husband and I are not morning people) but we are so glad we did because it was our favorite activity we did during our trip to Oahu. Jon was the best tour guide and was so knowledgeable! He was very punctual but never rushed on when we would explore a little more. Diamond head was a must! I am not the most athletic right now but I’m so glad I finished it, the views are incredible. The food truck you stop at has one of the most amazing food and the fruit stand has the freshest fruit! All in all, I highly recommend this tour!

Majestic Guided Island Tour & Waimea Falls with Lunch - From Waikiki & Ko Olina

Oahu Ultimate Circle Island Tour, Waimea Waterfalls & Hawaiian Food Experience
Very inclusive circle island tour!
Reviewed by: Christine , 2022/06/19I looked at a lot of tours and this one seemed most inclusive. I had done one many years ago and wanted to show my kids now. First of all, it’s awesome when you have a fun tour guide. I’m sure they are all great, but I did feel lucky to have “Chief Rob” as ours. Because he is local and taught us a lot about Hawaiian culture and the language and history. I enjoyed hearing about his family too. He is a funny guy with a lot of information and also incredibly good delivery with the jokes! Made us all laugh and interact. But also the tour has the perfect stops. You get to see just about everything! Obviously can’t stay too long every place as it takes 10 hours in the end already. But it seemed just right to me at most places. If you are buying food anywhere, have one person jump in line and the other goes to shop and look around. We didn’t get shave ice in Haleiwa as the lines were too long but it was nice to walk around the area. Next stop was Dole anyway and we got Dole Whip there. The food stop at Fumis was delicious! Man that shrimp is so good that now I don’t want to eat it at home. I only want the good stuff! One of my favorite stops was Waimea Falls. Time was tight there with kids whining and trying to make it to see the Falls. We made it and hustled back in the refreshing rain and were one of the last on the bus. It’s just such a beautiful place and I could stay for hours. But next time you rent a car and go to your favorite places. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it! Thanks Rob!

Oahu Island Tour - North Shore, Turtle Watch, Kualoa Beach & Pineapple Farm
We had an amazing time!!
Reviewed by: Phil H, 2022/06/14We had Jonah as our tour guide, and it was a fantastic experience! We were picked up from the front of our hotel and shared a van with two other couples, which was nice. Jonah immediately began telling us all about local buildings and other factoids as we drove to our first location. All of the locations were a lot of fun, but the stand out was the sea turtles. We were able to stay there a bit longer than planned and enjoy the several wild sea turtles who were swimming by and beginning to climb onto the sand. Everyone had a blast taking pictures of this, and Jonah was clearly enjoying himself as well and made sure to point out other turtles he saw for us to get a full experience! 10/10 would recommend!

Oahu Island Tour - North Shore, Turtle Watch, Kualoa Beach & Pineapple Farm
We had a bloody awesome time!!
Reviewed by: Bloody rippa!, 2022/06/12Our guide Jonah was bloody awesome. The bloke could be a part time real estate agent! Chilled as too. His ring tone - soundtrack to Magnum PI should be Hawaii's anthem.
The minibus was clean and looked fairly new - no mucking about. Jonah had his headset so all the peeps in the backseat could hear his valuations of properties, which doughnut vans and food trucks to eat at, movies and tv shows filmed in Hawaii and places of interests. He struck a pose better than Madonna when she first donned the headset.
Lunch was at a massive gathering of food trucks. Superb tucker! Huli Huli Chicken is a must, as well as the garlic prawns (shrimps, for you Yankies) at The Bald Guy - all recommended by Jonah - he's been there done them all - how does he keep that figure?
I won't spoil it too much - we got to see turtles swimming in less than a metre away from you (3 feet) as well.
Anyway, I highly recommend this tour - avoid the bloody big buses and have an intimate one with Jonah - he's an absolute bloody legend - nuf said!

Thank you so much for the review. I had fun talking with you and your family out here. Da Bald Guy is one of the favorites but I don’t eat it to much to keep my figure. I got to stay away from those delicious malasadas. I hope you enjoyed your time in Hawaii and hope you got to find some good sushi out here. Hopefully next time you come to Hawaii, we will have some grass tennis courts for you. Thank you for the review and maybe one day I’ll visit Australia sometime.
