The Makani Catamaran provided a great view of the fireworks off Waikiki on New Year's Eve. It is a beautiful boat and the tour worked smoothly. I highly recommend it. We will be sure to book it again.

Q. What if I am prone to seasickness?
A. Consider taking an over the counter motion sickness preventative at least 1 hour before your cruise if you are worried about sea sickness. Bracelets are available on-board for a fee.
Q. What should I wear to this activity?
A. No dress code applies, just wear something comfortable. A light jacket is nice to have after the sun has gone down as it gets cooler.
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. What kind of boat will be used?
A. The Makani is 65ft long and 32ft wide, US Coast Guard Certified Sailing Catamaran that was built in St. Croix, Virgin Islands in Aug. 2005. Makani can hold up to 80 passengers, and she is equipped with twin Yanmar 125hp Diesel engines, three blade folding propellers from Gori of Denmark, and can travel at up to 30 knots under sail. Its main rotating wing mast rises 70ft above the deck, constructed of Carbon Fiber by Southern Spars of New Zealand.
Q. Is there parking available?
A. For guests who are driving to the check-in at Kewalo Basin Harbor, metered parking rates are $1 per hour. The parking lot is located at 1125 Ala Moana Blvd.
