It was great to be able to enter smoothly right after it opened! Since it was December, there were times when the sun was hidden by clouds and it was a bit chilly right after coming out of the water, but I was able to enjoy seeing plenty of fish. The amount of time spent at Hanauma Bay was just right.

12月ということで、太陽が雲に隠れているタイミングや海から出た直後は少し肌寒かったのですが、魚もいっぱい見ることが満喫できました。ハナウマ湾の滞在時間もちょうど良かったです。

It felt great to get around by bicycle. I was able to shop in the town of Kailua and go to the beach, experiencing a bit of the local atmosphere.

The night before, I received an email informing me that "Hanauma Bay is expected to be crowded due to the holiday, so we will pick you up 15 minutes early." It was very considerate of you.

The pickup and entry to Hanauma Bay were smooth, and you provided clear instructions on where to position ourselves to watch the explanation video.

For the early morning course in December, I hadn't reserved a wetsuit, but you advised me that it would be better to wear one because it was cold, and I was able to rent one on the spot.

My daughter (10 years old) brought her own snorkeling gear, but you kindly helped us switch the tube part to a high-spec rental item.

The snorkeling was amazing! With Chieko and Dan guiding us, and Chieko holding my daughter's hand, we were able to swim until the end and even see a sea turtle. It was a thrilling experience.

ガイドのチエコさんダンさん、またお世話になりたいです！こういったツアーは沢山体験してきましたが、お2人のホスピタリティには感動しました。

前日夜、メールもいただいていたのですが、ホテルの部屋に「ハナウマ湾周辺はホリデーで混雑が予想されるので、15分早くピックアップします」とご丁寧にご連絡いただきました。

ピックアップもハナウマ湾への入場もスムーズで、説明ビデオを見るポジション取りもしっかり教えていただきました。

12月の早朝コース、ウェットスーツの予約をしていなかったのですが、寒いから着たほうが良いとアドバイスいただき、追加でその場でレンタルさせてもらいました。
娘(10歳)はシュノーケリング持参で行きましたが、筒の部分はハイスペックなレンタル品に変えてもらったり、お気遣いいただきました。

シュノーケリングも最高！
チエコさんダンさんにしっかりガイドしてもらい、チエコさんが娘の手を繋いでいてくれたおかげで、最後まで泳ぐことができ、ウミガメにも会えました。感激です。

また是非お世話になりたいです。

What a rip off ! It says on their website that they will snorkeling for 45 to 60 minutes but they were only snorkeling for 25 minutes! Kylie was not friendly and accommodating. She made my daughter's experience horrible

It was less crowded than Waikiki Beach, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. We participated as a group of six across three generations, and it was great that we could choose bicycles, floaties, and pancakes from Boots & Kimo's. The kids played on the beach with the floaties almost without taking a break. Having Japanese staff made us feel reassured, and it was nice to be able to ask for recommendations. The plate lunch was also delicious. It was a tour I would like to join again.

ワイキキビーチよりも人が少なく、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。3世代6人で参加しましたが、自転車、浮き輪、ブーツキモズのパンケーキを選択できて良かったです。子どもたちはほとんど休むことなく、浮き輪を持ってビーチで遊んでいました。
日本人スタッフがいてくださったので、心強く、おすすめなども聞けて良かったです。プレートランチも美味しかったです。また参加したいなと思うツアーでした。

The mountains visible from the car window on the way to Kailua Beach were impressive, and Lanikai Beach was also very beautiful.

カイルアビーチに行くまでの車窓から見える山もかっこよかったし、ラニカイビーチもとってもキレイでした。

Dan and Cheiko make everyone very safe and comfortable especially for beginners. Easy to follow them and they are nice and patient. If you are the first time snorkeling, highly recommend to take this tour! Worth it!

I was guided by a Japanese guide (Chieko and Dan) and had a one-on-one snorkeling experience, where I was able to dive for the first time for an hour. I also saw a turtle.

日本人ガイド(チエコさんダンちゃん)さんに案内されて、マンツーマンでシュノケリングが出来て、1時間も初めて潜れました。亀も見れました。

It's very convenient since transportation is included. Using CHIEKO's fins as a marker, it felt very safe and comfortable. I was quite impressed to see turtles coming up to the surface for air several times. We were all thrilled to see turtles in a different location as well. Of course, there were plenty of fish too. Since both my husband and I are 65 years old, we would love to go again if we have the chance. Thank you, CHIEKO!

送迎付きですのでとにかく便利です。CHIEKOさんの足ひれを目印にとても安全でとても気持ちがよく、亀が呼吸のために水面に顔を出すしぐさを数回見られかなり感激しました。また違う場所で亀を見られて参加者皆またまた感激。もちろん魚もたくさんいました。夫婦共に65歳なので機会があればまた行きたいと思っています。CHIEKOさんに感謝です。

I participated in snorkeling for the first time with my friends. Thanks to Chieko-sensei's kind instruction, I was able to swim very happily. I saw a lot of fish as well. I want to do it again!

The sea was incredibly beautiful! It was a bit cloudy, so it would have been even more stunning on a sunny day. There were fish around the rocky areas, but you have to go quite far out to find more rocky spots, so the elementary school kids couldn't reach the areas where the fish were. However, we had a great time just at the water's edge, so I was very satisfied! The lunch was delicious no matter what we chose! We made wonderful memories!!

とっても綺麗な海でした！少し曇りぎみだったので晴天だったらもっと綺麗だったんだろーなぁ。
岩場には魚もいましたが結構沖まで行かないとあまり岩場はないので小学生では魚がいるような岩場までは行けませんでした。
でも波打ち際だけでもかなり楽しんでいたので大満足です！
ランチもどれを選んでも美味しかったです！いい思い出が作れました！！

Renting a wetsuit was a good decision for warmth and injury prevention. I swam for about an hour from one end of the bay to the other at the guide's pace, which was quite tiring, and I experienced seasickness. It was tough for seniors, so I wished we could have taken a break along the way.

ウェットスーツは防寒とケガ防止のためにレンタルしてよかったです。
約1時間、湾の端から端までガイドのペースで泳ぎ続けたのでかなり疲れ、波酔いを経験しました。
シニアには辛いので途中、休憩させて欲しかった。

I was able to snorkel safely. Since I went first thing in the morning, it was easy to secure a good spot. The security was thorough, allowing me to enjoy snorkeling without any worries.

朝1番で行ったので、場所取りもスムーズでした。
セキュリティも万全で、心置きなくシュノーケルを楽しめました。

I was anxious about taking my elementary school children, who are not great swimmers, but they were so absorbed in searching for fish in the beautiful sea that they eagerly moved forward and had a lot of fun. As a mother with limited stamina, I could barely keep up. Although I chose the tour, my family was very satisfied, and it became the most wonderful experience of our stay in Hawaii.

I didn't reserve wetsuits in advance, but I was advised that they not only help with cold protection but also reduce the risk of injury, so I rented one on the day. I was glad I did, as I ended up bumping my feet.

Dan and Chieko were great people, and it was a lovely tour. Thank you very much.

不安がありましたが、綺麗な海での魚探しに夢中でグイグイ前に進む、とても楽しんでくれました。体力のない母は着いて行くので精一杯。私が選んだツアーでしたが、家族は大満足でハワイ滞在中の1番素敵な体験となりました。
事前にウェットスーツは予約しませんでしたが、寒さ対策だけでなく、怪我しにくいと勧めていただき、当日レンタルしましたが、実際足をぶつけたりしたので着ていて良かったです。

The weather was nice, and it was great to see many sea turtles up close. In November, it's better to wear a wetsuit. I recommend it for kids.

気候も良く海ガメを近くでたくさん見れてよかったです。11月はウェットスーツを来た方がいいです。子供におすすめです。

I would like to make this post in respect for the instructor. The prior communication and consultation, as well as the responses, were accurate and kind, which made me feel at ease even before traveling to the United States. My child, who cannot swim, gave up halfway, but they still did their best to accommodate us (thanks to them, my child was able to see a turtle and seemed very satisfied). There were no negative aspects, including safety, so I can confidently recommend this tour to anyone.

事前連絡、相談、それに対する回答も的確かつ親切で、渡米前から安心することができました。
泳げない我が子は途中でギブアップしましたが、それでもできる限りの対応をして頂きました（我が子はおかげさまで亀も見れて大満足だった様子です）
安全面を含めマイナス要素はありませんでしたので、どのような方にも間違いなくオススメのツアーです。

Since I joined the 7:20 tour, there were still few people at the beach, and I was able to find a good spot. The seawater in November is cold, and on this day, the wind was strong and it even rained at times, making it feel even colder. I was glad to see a lot of fish.

Although it's not due to this tour, it's unfortunate that Hanauma Bay has become reservation-only, which means you can't decide to go based on the weather on the day of your visit. By the way, it was sunny during my stay except for the day of the tour.

11月の海水は冷たく、この日は風が強くて途中雨も降っていたので尚更寒く感じました。
魚はたくさん見れたので良かったです。

このツアーのせいではないのですが、ハナウマ湾自体が予約制になったことで当日の天気で行くことを判断できなくなってしまったのが残念です。
ちなみに参加日以外の滞在期間は晴れていました。

Hanauma Bay itself was a small beach, but I felt the importance of coexistence with nature as there were seals, and the fish didn't swim away. It was a wonderful experience. Additionally, I was able to communicate with people from various countries and generations, which made for enjoyable memories.

ハナウマベイ自体はこじんまりとしたビーチでしたが、　あざらしがいたり、魚は逃げないし、自然との共存、大切さを感じられました。
素晴らしい体験でした。
また、現地喉方対応で様々な国の方、世代の方達とコミュニケーションが取れて楽しい思い出となりました。

I participated in this activity on my honeymoon! Although it was low tide in the afternoon session, I was able to see turtles! Coming back from Hawaii, this was the activity that made me feel like I experienced something Hawaiian! However, I think it's better to be prepared for swimming for about an hour to enjoy it more!

ハワイから帰ってきて、ハワイぽいことをしたと思えるのはこのアクティビティでした！
ただ、1時間ほど続けて泳ぐことになるのはあらかじめ覚悟しておいた方が楽しめると思います！

This tour is conducted in English, but even if your English isn't very good, they kindly assist you using translation software. When purchasing tickets or entering, the driver had informed us in advance that we should buy tickets together with the foreign guests who joined us as part of the same group, which made things really easy. Above all, it's a great value! Compared to Japanese-speaking shuttle tours, it's truly reasonable. There was plenty of time to enjoy, so we were able to relax on the beach until it was time for pickup!

こちらのツアーは、英語での案内になりますが、
英語がそんなにできなくても、翻訳ソフトなどを使って、親切に教えてくれます。実際にチケットを購入したり、入場する際も、相乗りしてきた外国人の方に同一グループとして一緒に購入してあげて欲しいと、あらかじめドライバーさんから申し伝わっているので、本当に楽でした。何よりも、コスパがいい！日本語対応の送迎ツアーと比べて本当にリーズナブル。滞在時間もたっぷりあるので、お迎えまでビーチでゆっくりできました！

For most of our group this was their first time snorkeling. Ryan was so patient, helpful and supportive, and gave great instructions — we highly recommend snorkeling in the Magic Island Lagoon for first timers. And with Ryan’s excellent support, videos of our experience, and patience we all had an awesome time. Be sure to heed the 30 minutes early arrival as we had a difficult time finding them (no sign) but they were near life station 1G which should be communicated in advance. We still got started right on time so it all worked out.

I participated with a friend in late September.

It was my first time snorkeling, and I started to feel seasick when I thought, "I want to quit because I'm feeling nauseous." At that moment, the instructor kindly guided those who wanted to stop to a designated area, which was very helpful.

I was able to see various fish and sea turtles, and I was very satisfied.

と思った時に「波酔いしてもう辞めたい方はこちらにきてください」とインストラクターの方が案内をしてくれて助かりました。

色んな魚やウミガメも見れて大満足です。

The driver kindly explained about Hanauma in English. They repeatedly mentioned what not to do, so I understood. Before entering Hanauma, they gave us life jackets at the cliff viewpoint. If you have any additional items, it's a good idea to mention them at this time. Once we arrived at Hanauma, we gathered with the same group of guests to pool together $25 for admission. I think it’s a good idea to bring a mat or something to relax on the beach in advance. It was very kind and I had a lot of fun snorkeling.

英語にはなりますがドライバーさんが丁寧にハナウマについて説明してくれます。
やってはいけないことは何度も言うので理解できました。
ハナウマに入る前に崖の展望台でライフジャケットをくれました。他の追加品があればこの時に言いましょう。
そしてハナウマに着いたら同じグループの客で集まって25ドルもまとめ合い、ハナウマに入場します。
ビーチで休むためのシートなどを事前に持っていくといいと思います。
すごく親切で楽しくスノーケリングを楽しめました。

The pickup was handled by a kind guide, making the journey to the location comfortable. Along the way, I received simple explanations about the tourist spots and snorkeling techniques, which gave me a sense of reassurance.

Upon arrival, we took an official video course before heading to the beach. Since I had already heard the same instructions in Japanese from the guide, I didn't understand the English in the video, but I felt at ease knowing the content.

Once we reached the beach, we practiced snorkeling before the actual event. As I peered into the water, I immediately spotted fish. For about three hours, I followed the guide and moved around Hanauma Bay quite a bit. The snorkeling was so enjoyable that the three hours flew by.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any honu (turtles) this time, but it felt like I was left with a homework assignment to come back again. I definitely want to return. (^^)

For this snorkeling trip, I rented a wetsuit for an additional fee. The guide introduced it somewhat hesitantly by saying, "It's paid," but it was definitely the right choice to rent it.

There are some very shallow areas where you snorkel. During the waves, my body almost hit the shallow coral, which is actually not allowed, but it happened. I was told that this could potentially injure your skin. Even if you're careful, you never know what might happen.

I thought it would be better to splurge a little and rent the wetsuit so that it wouldn't affect my plans later on. Plus, wearing a wetsuit helps you float, so there's no worry about drowning. I highly recommend it.

On the way back, the kind guide also dropped us off, and I was able to enjoy the tour very comfortably. Thank you very much! (^^)

送迎も優しいガイドさんで、心地よく現地へ向かえました。道々、観光地の事やシュノーケリングの方法を簡単に教えてもらい、安心感を得ることができました。
現地ではオフィシャルなビデオ講習を受け、浜に向かいます。事前にガイドさんから日本語で同じ内容の注意事項を聞いていたので、ビデオの英語はわかりませんでしたが、中身はわかっているので安心。
浜へ降り立ち、実際にシュノーケリングの練習をしてから、本番へ。
海中を覗くと、すぐにお魚が。
３時間くらい、ガイドさんの後を追ってハナウマ湾内を結構動いたようです。シュノーケリングが楽しくてあっという間の３時間でした。
今回は残念ながらホヌ(カメさん)には会えませんでしたが、また来れるよう宿題を残していただいた感じです。また来たい。(^^)
今回のシュノーケリングでは
ウェットスーツを別料金でお借りしました。
ガイドさんから「有料なので」と遠慮がちに紹介されていましたが、借りて正解でした。
シュノーケリングで動く所は一部とても浅い場所があります。引き波の時に体が浅瀬のサンゴに当たりそうになる、というか、本当はダメなのですが当たってしまいました。その際に皮膚を傷つける事があるとの事でした。
気を付けていても何があるかわからない。
少し奮発してお借りした方が、後の旅程に響かず安心かなぁと。さらに、ウェットスーツを着ると浮くので、溺れる心配が内容です。尚更おすすめです。
帰りも優しいガイドさんに送っていただき、大変気持ちよくツアーを楽しむことができました。

【Reference Information】
- You will be in the water for one hour.
- I recommend taking motion sickness medication.
Both of us don’t usually get motion sickness, but since we were wearing life jackets, we were constantly swaying with the waves. It can make you feel queasy...
- If you get cold easily, I recommend renting a suit.
We participated on a sunny afternoon on September 19, and after an hour in the water, your body can get cold.
Slim men, please be careful...
It might be good for those who are not strong swimmers too!
- I recommend applying sunscreen on your back.
If you don’t apply sunscreen, you will get a sunburn in the shape of the life jacket strap.
You can get quite burned, so please be careful.
- A waterproof case for your smartphone is recommended.
The sea is very beautiful, so I was able to take incredibly clear photos and videos with my smartphone!!
- There is no souvenir time.
Since it’s a tour, that’s to be expected; you just go, swim, and come back. There’s no free time.
- You can receive GoPro photos.
They will post them on Facebook, so you can get them for free. They are great photos!

The guide's instructions and explanations were easy to understand, and I had a lot of fun. I wish I could have stayed longer and done more snorkeling.

I visited Hanauma Bay for the first time in two years. It was early in the morning, but the water wasn't as cold as I expected. The fish swimming around are always the same. This time, there was someone who was visiting Hanauma for the first time, so I made a reservation, but the entrance fee is a bit high, so I think it might be good for a while. The driver was handsome and helped by purchasing the entrance tickets all together. The snorkeling set and life jackets were clean.

2年ぶりのハナウマベイに行ってきました。朝一でしたが、予想より水は冷たくなかったです。泳いでる魚は毎回同じです。今回、初ハナウマの人がいたので申込みしましたが、入場料もかるし、とうぶんいいかなぁと思います。ドライバーさんはイケメンで、入場チケットの購入をまとめて購入してくれて、助かりました。シュノーケルセット、ライフジャケットは綺麗でした。

It seems to be run by a couple. The husband speaks fluent Japanese, and the wife is Japanese, which made it easy for me to try snorkeling for the first time without any worries. I'm not very good at swimming, but with the wife's assistance, I was able to enjoy snorkeling. The ocean was beautiful, and it was amazing to see the colorful fish up close, as if they were drawn with crayons. The sea had plenty of corals and rocks, and I was glad to borrow a wetsuit; it felt safe.

If I go to Hawaii again, I would like to go snorkeling once more, if my age allows. Because I am 60 years old. I highly recommend it!

ご主人は日本語ペラペラ、奥様は日本人で、初めてのシュノーケルでも安心して挑戦できました。
私は泳ぎがあまり得意ではないのですが、奥様に付き添って頂き、楽しくシュノーケリングできました。
海は美しく、クレヨンで塗ったようなお魚は近くで見れて素晴らしかったです。
海はサンゴや岩など沢山あり、ウェットスーツをお借りして良かった、安全だと思いました。

ハワイに行ったら、またシュノーケリングはしたいと思います。
年齢がゆるされるなら。
なぜなら、私は60歳だからです。

There were some language issues, but the driver was kind. Hanauma Bay was very beautiful and amazing. I want to go again.
