Sunset Dinner Cruise
Reviewed by: Ann, 2015/04/27I wanted to do something special for my daughter and friend and thought a dinner cruise would be wonderful. I went the extra mile and extra money to upgrade to a window seat . I did the reservation almost three to four weeks in advance Upon boarding we were seated next to the wall. The third window seat was not a window seat but just behind the window seat. If I leaned up and out I could see.
When I asked to be moved I asked the manager if I could be seated next to the window she stated they were full and she offered a bottle of wine, as I don't drink I asked her to treat me like she would treat her mother, and that is when she told me her mother was nice, implying I wasn't. I had thought I had been nice up to that point I had just wanted to see as that is what I had paid for this time(I have been on this tour before and sat in the middle ) They did offer us an upgrade and a nice private table, meaning quiet, back near the door as to not see the show. The upgraded meal was delicious and as we had all lived in Oahu the show was not really missed. I am not sure I would recommend this tour unless you upgraded to the dinner and not the buffet. I would recommend a maximum of two for the window seating and make sure you state near the wall does not count. Other than the manager's attitude which I allowed to bother me, the servers were efficient, courteous and friendly.

Awesome Experiance

The Deluxe sunset cruise with window seating is worth the extra dough!
Reviewed by: Maiwayalways1, 2015/04/07Do not skimp on this cruise... The window seating is spacious and the views are breathtaking! And when you arrive back@ the Harbor, you will be allowed off first. No cramped, uncomfortable seating and no waiting for your meal or to exit off. We're not impatient people but when you have small children and want the views this upgrade is worthy.

The deluxe sunset dinner cruise was wonderful!!!

The investment was worthwhile.The children had front views of the water and full moon. The dinner was good but the beef was the highlight. It was so tender like prime rib! So good!
The fireworks were nice and the entertainment was engaging. The entire staff including the Captain were hospitable and welcoming. It was our second cruise with Navatek but our children's first and it's definitely one of our families' favorite excursions.

Had an amazing time!
Reviewed by: Ms. Ems, 2015/03/13I had an amazing time! Cruise was fun! I've been to many dinner cruises on the island and the Navatek boat is indeed by far the smoothest ride I've ever been. We went during the Nagaoka Festival in Waikiki and the fireworks display was so outstanding, which made it more enjoyable and memorable for us!
The staff at the Ticket Desk were also very friendly. We got there 45-minutes early and Josh was very kind enough to answer the many questions I had while we were waiting. It wasn't their normal schedule that night and Josh was able to share their regular schedule with me, the transportation and check-in procedures, and wait times from boarding to departure.
As for the servers on the boat, they were okay but they could have been better! I would have preferred them to be more energetic and quicker. Our server that night seemed a little too tired and it also took us a while to get the drinks we ordered. Very good food though! The teriyaki garlic chicken was my favorite..yummmm!!!!
The Polynesian entertainment was good but I wish it was longer. They only performed three (3) different dances and that was it. The host and singer was also good, I like that she interact with the audience while singing but I wish she could have sang songs that are more familiar to the audience. I thought the songs were too old to be sung these days.
Something that I never expected though is the dancing at the end of the cruise! We danced the night away and that was so much fun! I loved it! I'm glad I took this trip as I didn't know this is also available at Navatek. I've always thought this to be more intimate, for couples celebrating their anniversaries or honeymooners who want a quiet and romantic moment but this can be for families or group of friends as well.

Amazing Sunset viewing!!

The buffet dinner was very nice, the fish was so fresh and just melted in your mouth, there were also pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, salad, veges and from memory Im sure there was rice. Unfortunately we did not experience the Hawaiian show nor the dessert (as the sunset captivated us for the time until the fireworks viewing!). My daughter (13 yrs old) and I thoroughly enjoyed our sunset dinner cruise.

Great first night in Hawaii

The food was OK and the entertainment was good (I'm not a party person, so that is about the most that you will get out of me.) The most memorable thing was after dinner, when Dolphins were playing with the boat and putting on a show for us. The best view of the sunset was actually when we were docking at the harbor, at the very end of the cruise.

Anniversary Dinner Cruise
Reviewed by: Steve & Carole, 2014/05/07We were in Hawaii for our 36th anniversary and the Navatek Dinner Cruise was a lovely and romantic way to spend the evening. We booked the window seating and the spectacular view was really worth it! The Lobster - Steak dinner was delicious. Our server prepared our lobster for us at the table which was a nice surprise. The beef was a bit well done for our taste however. Overall the dinner was very tasty. The show was enjoyable and fun, and the main singers were all really good! There were quite a few honeymoon and anniversary couples, and it was nice visiting with the other diners. Also, we very much enjoyed going out on deck to view the beautiful sunset and beach from the ship. We look forward to another dinner cruise next time we're there.

Reviewed by: Hawaiian, 2013/08/21I loved it! As a native to this island, the sight of the island from the ocean while the sunset was still able to take my breath away! If you can afford it, please buy the Sunset Royal Dinner with the Window Seating! If you're going to celebrate an anniversary like I did, it's extremely worth it! If you're a tourist, you will enjoy the local songs that they play and the events they set up.
As for the food, it was amazing. Make sure you perhaps call in advanced if you're going to substitute something on the menu!! They didn't have my grilled chicken. Instead, they gave terayaki chicken and were very apologetic!
If you want to take a picture in the front of the boat with the sunset, make sure you go at least 10 minutes early or else you won't be able to get a spot to take picture! It will be crowded!
DOWNSIDE:
THE WAITER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! IF YOU LIKE HAVING A NICE SOFT DRINK BEVERAGE, DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO FILL THEM IMMEDIATELY. SOMETIMES THEY WILL IGNORE YOU TOO.

Navatek Sunset Dinner Cruise Honolulu/ Royal Sunset Dinner Cruise
Reviewed by: R. Wannomae, 2013/08/13Your Cruise was the highlight of our trip. We had Nao as our waiter and he was great. He was so accommodating and everyone had such a great time. We were in and out of the dinning area taking pictures of the Sunset and later the Friday night fireworks. We had a great time, but in all the nights excitement we forgot one of our camera cases on board. The next day we received a call and asked if we had lost our camera case. We were already on the Big Island and could not physically get the case. Leslie told us not to worry, that she would have it sent to our place in Los Angeles. When I asked her if she needed my Credit Card to pay for the shipping, she said they would be glad to send it to us. Born and raised in Oahu, this made me proud of the Ohana and spirit of Aloha that was shared with us. We will never forget the feeling of Ohana and look forward to Sailing with you when we visit again. Oh, and the food was wonderful. See you soon. Mahalo

Friday night fun!
