Star of Honolulu Dinner Cruise

My husband and I went on this fabulous cruise not only for dinner and entertainment but for the beautiful sunset that occurs off the shores of Oahu. Would highly recommend this for everyone...couples, families, and singles!

Reviewed by: ----------RHO----, 2014/08/24As you check in and arrive to the pier, you will be entertained with a Hula performance. You will then be directed with a pleasantly helpful staff to seat you with your tossed salad ready to be consumed. Also you will then receive a welcome Mai Tai which is very addicting and may cause you to purchase more. I had 4 of them. The all you can eat crab legs, steak, and macadamia nut ice cream was amazing. As the sun started to set, I found myself in a very relaxing area of the top deck. I was taking in the views of the ocean, land, and skies as I was just about ready to call it a night. Until we just about to reach the dock, all their employees started a party and danced like crazy. My date is not much of a dancer, but she enjoyed watching me entertain everyone. This night was a night to remember especially the service provided the staff on board. They will make sure you are always satisfied.

The lobsters were delicious and the steak was about the most tender and tasty steak I have ever had. The music and show were great.I was very appreciative that one of the dancers took a picture with me after the show. The staff was eapecialy helpfull and particularly your assitant manager.The Star of Honolulu was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. We would definitely do it again. Highly recommended.

Three Star Dinner Cruise
Reviewed by: Dorothy Mason, 2014/04/02Everything was well managed even from the purchase on line of tickets. Pickup was on time in topscale bus. Staff was dressed in 1st class attire. Greeting by staff at dock was nice. Seating was fine with exception of sun shining directly in my husband eyes . it was a little distracting. Dinner and the drinks was great, along with the service. The entertainment after dinner was fantastic. Truly, truly mesmerizing.
Would recommend without hesitation.

An enjoyable evening!

The show was a treat and the dancers were all very gracious and patient about taking pictures with the guests. The views from the boat of the city and Diamond Head alone were worth the money. We'll surely do it again on our next trip back.

The top deck is amazing for catching sight of the city line and it's a great place to spend a romantic evening. You have a wonderful view of Diamond Head crater and the beautiful shores of Waikiki.
I chose the 3 star dinner cruise, food was great and the staff were entertaining and very professional. As soon as you arrive at the Aloha Tower the staff will take you onto the boat and direct you to the appropriate floor according to the package you select.
As you enjoy your dinner, they have a 2 man band playing local island music and latter they have a jazz duo with a saxophonist. At the end of the night that was a fun Polynesian show and they got everyone in the room up on their feet and dancing.
I would recommend this cruise to everyone, specially for the one looking forward to a romantic night!

Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise

This cruise is meant for couples because it is amazingly breathtaking with the view of Diamond Head crater, the deep blue ocean, and the beautiful shores of Waikiki. Then to top it all off with a sunset upon our west coast beaches.

First Cruise

Excellent Dinner Cruise

You can't go wrong! My suggestion take this event as your grand finale of your vacation, probably on the last day of your trip. Thanks so much hawaiian activities, they added Hanauma Bay trip as a extra bonus at no cost( but you need to pay for the entrance fee)which you can not missed! My family and I had a wonderful time.

Beautiful views from the boat, areas on boat need work
Reviewed by: Amber, 2013/06/27My grandmother and I chose this as something different to do from the sightseeing and beach time we had been enjoying. The transportation is great even for those of us that are familiar with the island, and well worth the additional cost. The seating area is packed and truly would be more enjoyable with fewer people crammed in. The food and service were far better than expected and the "All You Can Eat" crab truly lives up to the name. The boat from an external view is beautiful and makes a striking appearance out on the open ocean. On the decks there are areas that could be maintained better, especially the areas that food is served from and are in plain view of guests. The top deck is amazing for catching sight of the city line and would be a great place to spend a romantic evening with a significant other. Overall this is something that I am glad we experienced and would be willing to take others on.

Great food and show
Reviewed by: Kendall, 2013/04/05My wife, 11 month old daughter, and boarded the Star of Honolulu, on the One Star package. The night started with a Mai Tai, which was quite strong (coming as a surprise to me as in my experience, “welcome drinks” tend to be very watered down), and we were taken to our table with our appetizers ready and waiting for us. The food was fantastic! I’m going to be honest; I had low expectations for the food. All you can eat crab on a ship, generally does not mean “high quality” to me. And boy was I proven wrong. The crab especially was very tasty, and my wife and I definitely took advantage of the “all you can eat” description. The show was also very fun to watch, with examples of dances of different styles from around Polynesia. The service from our waiter, Chad, was excellent as well: my water was never empty, empty plates were taken as soon as I was finished, and the crab kept coming. I’ve already suggested the Star of Honolulu to family members for when they visit.

Great cruise!

They really get you involved by getting you up to dance and sing! It was my wedding night, so they sang the Hawaiian Wedding Song to me and my new hubby, and the next day was my birthday so they also sang Happy Birthday to me! It was a great, fun, romantic activity, and I would definitely do it again!

If you're looking for a pleasant, relaxing dinner on the water this is the option for you - I would highly recommend the the three star option - the slight price difference is worth it.
Although there are a lot of guests on board it's not loud nor do you have a feeling of being over crowded. The lobster is wonderful and they have staff that come and around crack the shell for you! you can get as messy as you want though once she's revealed the majority of the crayfish for you
Steak is a small serve but very satisfying and in between meals popping up to the top deck is fantastic - the Honolulu skyline is gorgeous and the fresh warm air simply wonderful - it's a great way to start or end any Hawaiian Vacation or celebrate a special occasion.

Not so private table

January 2012 Sunset Cruise

We are not fans of meat cooked rare and would have liked to had the meat cooked to our liking. We look forward to taking this dinner cruise again, when we are in Honolulu.
