Waterfall hike first and bike ride second; good combo.
Reviewed by: -PAUL-, 2023/02/19The hike was VERY muddy! Not so much of the mud being a nuisance, as much as the slippery parts. Then cooling off with downhill bike ride with scenic views of Waikiki and Honolulu, even Pearl city. We enjoyed our time.

Great experience! 7 happy people!
Reviewed by: Berzins +, 2021/09/22Great experience! We loved the views and the information our guide provided. Each person of our 7 person group will tell you a different favorite point. The hike was fun, the waterfall beautiful, the bike ride was easier then expected, beautiful scenery and a bit thrilling. The sail home was relaxing after snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles.

RELAXING AND REFRESHING!!! It was great to get away from the city and feel the breeze. Beautiful scenery also.

Please consider having lunch at the rest area in the beginning for restroom break as opposed to the first area. A lot more shade there. Other than that...EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! Hairpin turns, breezes, guides with sense of humor...GREAT TIME!!! I am "Husky" and it did not matter....they had bikes for all types!!! Big people can have a great time also!!!

Great way to see Ohau
Reviewed by: Bob R. , 2016/07/11This was a great adventure. Plan for the better part of the day. The hike seems odd at first because you start in a neighborhood. But once you are on the path it is a beautiful journey. It was a it rushed which was disappointing as it was hard to enjoy the surroundings and go fast. The bike ride was a lot of fun with awesome views of Diamond Head and Waikiki. The last part,snorkeling with Sea Turtles, was the absolute best. They are amazing creatures and would surface right next to us. When scheduling, ask for Elon. He did a great job for our group. Also, Terrii was an excellent tour guide when he joined us.

Fun day
Reviewed by: Bob R. , 2016/07/01This was a lot fun and a good way to see different part of Ohau quickly. The hike through the rain forest to the waterfall was interesting. There were things you don't see in other parts of the world. It is not an easy hike. Be prepared for strenuous activity. The bike ride makes up for it. It is all down hill, beautiful views and a wonderful spot to stop, eat and take in the view. The Bike Hawaii staff are outstanding. They quickly become friends and are genuinely focused on your enjoyment and safety. The last experience, swimming with sea turtles was just the best. The turtles are not afraid of humans and will surface next to you. You can't touch them but one came so close it almost touched me. We stayed out there a long time and really got to enjoy them. This was a great day and lot of fun. It is an all day experience so plan for it.

The tour guide, Mike, made the trip!

My husband and I did not finish all three activities due to too much sun exposure. It was exhausting. We did not go snorkeling, however, the hike was interesting (I'm not an outdoorsy person) and the downhill bike was the our personal favorite. Next time, we will do it again, but I can go without the hike.

Worth every penny

Amazing

Jeremy picked us up on time, drove safely to get us to the top of the mountain, and then guided us down before feeding us a tasty and healthy lunch, and the. Took us us to the most amazing rainforest I have ever seen. There was no other hikers to have to negotiate around! It was a highlight of our trip! A must do in Oahu. My parents and Aunty and uncle were with us and loved it also. We could stop and take as many photos as we wanted because there is no rush!

Best time in Hawaii

Rain Forest Hike is MUDDY!
Reviewed by: Clara, 2012/07/06I wish there had been a more specific statement regarding the hike that you may get very muddy! They did have rain boots but you needed to have high socks so you wouldn't get blisters.
I didn't have the socks so ended up wearing my tennis shoes - there was no avoiding the mud - I had mud up to my knees - mainly from splashing - mud wasn't that deep.
There were lovely flowers and going in the midst of a banboo forest was amazing. We did see a poisonous tree frog - beautiful bright green and black.
The bike ride was a breeze literally and the half way stopping point has an amazing view of Honolulu!
The catamaran was a lot of fun - they knew exactly where the turtles come to get cleaned up by the fish - we saw 3 different sized turtles.

One of the highlights of my trip

The staff was great, making sure that everyone in the group was comfortable with the bikes and ready for the ride. It was an easy downhill trip, but the views were awesome. After the ride and some lunch we headed off to hike. This was my favorite part of the day. The trail was a bit tougher than I expected, but it was so worth it. Mattius, our guide, made the whole trip so much fun. Hiking through the rain forest to the waterfall was just beautiful. The trail through the bamboo forest was awesome as well. I can't recommend this trip highly enough. I will be spreading the word to all of my friends who plan to visit Oahu.

Bike, Hike, Sail & Snorkel Tour

The hike and biking experience was awesome. Some of the guides on the boat were not as friendly or welcoming as I experienced on my other excursions. Kind of put a damper on an otherwise good experience.

Well worth it
Reviewed by: Larry, 2008/05/31Our family did the Hike, Bike, Sail and Snorkel Tour and had a great time. It gave us a great blend of three different ways to see the island - hiking the rain forest, biking down the mountain (getting a GREAT view of Diamond Head and Waikiki during our lunch break), and snorkeling just off the coast.
Our tour guide, Jeremy, was fantastic. He was very personable and knowledgeable. My 10 year old son, enjoyed hiking and biking right by Jeremy and asking a TON of questions. And Jeremy did a superb job of answering all of his questions, never being bothered by them.
My family would definitely recommend this tour (all three parts) to anyone.

A great value and a lot of fun!
Reviewed by: RumTumTum, 2007/05/10If you are the outdoorsy type or just want to see and experience nature while you are in Hawaii, then I TOTALLY recommend doing this tour. You get do see so much of the beauty of the island in just one day. The hike is perfect; it is not too strenuous, the views are amazing and the waterfall at the end was a picture perfect point too! On the way back from the waterfall, our awesome guide took us through a bamboo forest as well (very Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). Afterwards, we went on a great bike ride down a mountain road and then a great picnic lunch at the end at this cute little park. Snorkeling was the perfect ending to a fun-filled day!
