We had a perfectly fun day! We rented bikes and snorkeling gear and flippers, rode to Lanikai beach (about a 29 minute ride), saw some turtles and fish. Then we came back, got boogy boards and enjoyed kalilua beach. Had some lunch did some souvenir shopping.
Our only complaint would be the tour bus driver who picked us up. He asked us where we were from and then said something about Biden being born there so we would have to walk. My husband asked him not to bring politics into our tour. He made another joke about our state and told us it was a long walk back. Then he told us there was a password (Hawaiian word) and that we couldn’t ride if we couldn't say it. Then he switched us to another bus to come back on. We were relieved.

Q. How far is the walk from Kailua Beach Center to Kailua Beach?
A. It is about a 5 minute walk to Kailua Beach from Kailua Beach Center.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. No, but having basic swimming skills will help you feel more comfortable in the water. If you do not know how to swim, life jackets are available to help you along.
Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. No, but life jackets are available if you would like to wear one.
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least a few days in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. Are prescription snorkeling masks available?
A. Yes, prescription masks are available.
Q. What are the emergency certifications of instructors and guides?
A. Serving residents and visitors alike since 1982, instructors specialize in kayaking, windsurfing, surfing lessons and tours. The instructors/guides are all certified in Adult CPR/Pediatric CPR and First Aid with the American Heart Association and have also been certified instructors with the American Canoe Association (ACA) for over 10 years. Many have additional certifications such as Swift Water Rescue, Lifeguard, and Wilderness Medicine.
Q. What's for Lunch?
A. Guests can choose from pizza, calzones Hawaiian plate lunch, or Salads. Pizza and Calzones are made to order in the Beach Center at Bob's Pizzeria. Plate lunches are made to order at K&K BBQ where guests will find inside and outside seating. Salads area available at Bob's Pizzeria or in Kailua Town at Aloha Salads.
- Pizza / Calzones: A variety of handmade, thin crust, Boston style pizzas and calzones are made available including two (2) vegetarian options. Pizza topping and calzones include: Pepperoni, sausage, spinach, cheese, garlic, tomato, mushrooms, black olives, onions, broccoli, ham, pineapple, etc.
A fountain drink (coke, diet coke, sprite, fruit punch, etc.) will be provided.
- Hawaiian Plate Lunch: Choice of one (1)
Loco Moco, Katsu, BBQ Chicken, Beef Curry Stew, Mahi Mahi Fish, BBQ Burger and French Fries; with a tropical fruit or tea.
