Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. No, they are available if you want to wear one.
Q. How many people are there in a tour group?
A. There is a maximum group size of up to four (4) people per instructor.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. Yes, being able to swim is required.
Q. What's for Lunch?
A. Guests can choose from pizza, calzones Hawaiian plate lunch, or Salads. Pizza and Calzones are made to order in the Beach Center at Bob's Pizzeria. Plate lunches are made to order at K&K BBQ where guests will find inside and outside seating. Salads area available at Bob's Pizzeria or in Kailua Town at Aloha Salads.
- Pizza/ Calzones: A variety of handmade, thin crust, Boston style pizzas and calzones are made available including two (2) vegetarian options. Pizza topping and calzones include: Pepperoni, sausage, spinach, cheese, garlic, tomato, mushrooms, black olives, onions, broccoli, ham, pineapple, etc.
A fountain drink (cocke, diet coke, sprite, fruit punch etc.) will be provided.
- Hawaiian Plate Lunch: Choice of one(1) Loco Moco Katsu, BBQ Chicken, Beef Curry Stew, Mahi Mahi Fish, BBQ Burger and French Fries; with a tropical fruit or tea.
Q. What are the emergency certifications of instructors and guides?
A. Serving residents and visitors alike since 1982, instructors specialize in kayaking, windsurfing, surfing lessons and tours. The instructors/guides are all certified in Adult CPR/Pediatric CPR and First Aid with the American Heart Association and have also been certified instructors with the American Canoe Association (ACA) for over 10 years. Many have additional certifications such as Swift Water Rescue, Lifeguard, and Wilderness Medicine.
