Reviewed by: Dawn Renfro, 2012/08/25This was my first time parasailing, i was terrified. The crew memebers were friendly, and patient with us(i wasnt listening very well because i was scared). They set us up, explained, and helped out with everything. i switched my ride from 400ft to 800ft before i went on, and they set us up, and even pulled us down when i yelled for them to.
It was a good experience, even though i was terrified. Also, they took tons of pictures while people were up there, and i really liked the fact you got your SD card.

Fun Experience
Reviewed by: Rick, 2012/08/19I got a call ahead of time to confirm my reservations, which was reassuring. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The parasailing experience was great. My wife and son were a bit apprehensive at first, but all went well. The two people running the boat operation were experienced and kept everything running smoothly.

What an Experience
Reviewed by: D. McElhose, 2012/07/31This was definately one of the best activities on our vacation. Our kids had a blast. My wife and I went along just to watch and had a lot of fun also. We were so glad that we had them take pictures for us as they turned out great. From our shuttle driver, to the office personnel, to the boat crew, everybody was wonderful. Highly recommend it!

Reviewed by: Connie Colton, 2012/07/29The experience was amazing. The only complaint I have was that we were staying at the Mariot Waikiki and the van driver went to the Waikiki resort to pick us up. We could not find the driver or him us. When I talked with staff trying to locate himshe was rude and said if we did not find the driver in 2 mins he would leave us and there would be no refund.
We ended up finding him in about 10 mins. with the help of valet parkers from out hotel. He did not leave us Thank goodness. The van driver knew we were lost and waited. He was very nice. The staff on the boat were amazing. My 73 year old mother even parasailed and they acommadated her needs. : ) We were there on a make a wish trip, they allowed my 12 year old son who fought cancer last year to go up twice and to drive the boat. They were just amazing!

First time

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the lack of life jackets for those who are in the boat. I would recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Hawaii or looking to parasail.

Great Experience!
Reviewed by: Reina, 2012/07/17If you are taking your own transportation to Oahu Parasailing, leave early in order to be on time. It is easy to get lost or stuck in traffic. The staff is very friendly! If you get motion sick then you should take some Bonine or Dramamine before. You will be on a boat with 3-5 other groups. You might get motion sick waiting for everyone to take their turn parasailing. The boat Captain and riggers are really nice. They will prepare you and give you all the rules and safety precautions before. They take safety very seriously here so don't be offended if they yell at you for not following the rules. It's their job to make everyone feel safe and get everyone back to shore in one piece. This is very fun for everyone! It is a nice boat ride and parasailing tour. Do not bring expensive cameras out, you will be splashed by the waves. You won't be soaked after the boat ride, but it’s not worth the risk of ruining your expensive camera. They offer a photo package for 30 dollars. I purchased the

The boat crew was good and provided helpful information and made the parasailing a better experience than expected. I definately recommending to everyone to try parasailing at least once while in Hawaii.

Honeymoon adventure

We decided to do something adventurous as newly weds so we decided to do parasailing! It was also our first time! I did a lot of research on the different parsailing companies and found that Oahu Parasailing did not have any accidents at all. They also had very good reviews so I booked with them through Hawaii Activities. We went with the 8:00am departure & 600ft parasail. On the day of, The driver picked us up at the front of our hotel which was in Waikiki. He was very friendly and knowledgable. While he drived us around the city he told us where to go, where to eat, where the best and cheap things were. He gave us great advice! After we were dropped off, we went into the boat with a group of Japanese tourists. The captian and his assistant were very nice. my experience was a little unnerving, as I knew what not todo, but wasn't sure what TO DO, couldn't relax for fear of doing wrong thing....More specifics on how one can lean, turn or shift weight, hand position on straps...would be helpful, but perhaps I'll venture To try again.....

Awesome Experience!!
Reviewed by: Sharon D., 2012/02/28I was so glad i did it!! I was a bit nervous at first, only chose 600ft line. It was an amazing view, amazing weather, and felt very safe! My dad can't swim - doesn't usually get into the water and afraid of heights, but he himself loved it!! If we were in Hawaii another day, I would have done it again but upgraded to the full 1000ft! I also liked the fact that this company is very safe! They cancelled my first reservation due to high winds & I'm glad they did because the second reservation I made, the weather was PERFECT!! Beautiful skies, water was amazing, and we got to see whales! Loved every moment of it!! Felt so free!!

~~FLYING HIGH

This was my wife's first time parasailing, she screamed, but she loved it!. We had a terriffic time! The crew was great and even let my wife drive the boat around the Waikiki Coastline.

Parasailing!

My husband and I booked this activity before we arrived in Oahu, and I was actually a little nervous about it as it got closer. But, I have to say--this was a ton of fun. The other couples in our group were quite a bit younger than us--we are in our late forties--but I think this activity would be OK for almost any age and level of mobility. The crew was professional and skilled on the water, and everything felt safe and secure. And the ride was fantastic! The crew took pictures of the whole event and the memory card was available for purchase at the end of the ride for $30. These are some of my favorite vacation pictures, and proof to our kids that we did it! The flight itself was gentle. You gained height steadily and the views were terrific. The crew brought you back down, gave you a quick dunk in the ocean and landed you back on the boat. Go ahead and do this!

Amazing!
Reviewed by: Tina E., 2011/09/19As a first time parasailer, I thought it was AMAZING! I would totally go again and recommend that others go too. Hawaii Parasailing is awesome! The boat crew (Captain Jason and, darn it, I don't remember his name) and the shuttle driver were superb!!! They made everyone on the outing feel special and happy. As "bigger" girls, we were thrilled to get to ride together. I have to say that the office staff has something to be desired though. The girls were rude and condesending. I did not like dealing with them. But since we didn't have to deal with them too much it did not take away from the overall experience.

Getting "High" in Hawaii!

A must-do activity
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2011/07/06This was a repeat activity for us so obviously we like it before. It is surprisingly peaceful once you are up in the air and the views are spectacular. I like to stick my arms out a la Superman; I figure this is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like I'm flying. The only negative is my wife didn't care for it the last time, so she just went as an observer (rides in the boat but doesn't parasail). She loves the boat ride so that works for her, but the crew doesn't let anyone go up solo so if you don't have a partner, you end up going up with some stranger. The crew is good at what they do and are very safety conscious.

A Truly UPLIFTING experience!
Reviewed by: Living in Waikiki, 2011/02/23I've lived in Waikiki for the last 5 years, a block from beach, and watched the para-sailers every day. It was always on my to do list but I never made the time. After finally doing it, I wish I had done it sooner! It's such a fun and beautiful experience. Not only do you get to parasail, you get the boat ride and the view of Waikiki from the ocean! We also saw whales jumping which was really the icing on the cake. Being able to float above Waikiki was scenic and peaceful and a rush, all at the same time. The crew is very talented and a make the experience fun as well. What an amazing feeling as you lift off the back of the boat and gently float up. A must do!

Wonderful
Reviewed by: Bev, 2011/01/09My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the parasailing. It was a tremendously relaxing feeling for both of us. We took the 1000 ft. line and would do it again. Captain Duncan and crewman Kevin were both jovial and attentive to detail. Felt safe at all times.
I highly recommend buying the pictures.

First Timer

Captain Aaron and Hector were so cool and they made the boat ride out a lot of fun. Seeing the island from up in the air was so amazing. The pictures came out great and we were glad we had them take them. It was well worth it.
