Everything went smoothly-tour operator picked us up on time at designated spot and returned us at appropriate time, and gave us a narrative talk about the area enroute to Diamond Head. The destination was exceptional -with amazing views of the inland and coastline. One tip- it appears that the later you go in the day the busier the trail gets. We left at 8:30 am and the crowds were manageable. If you're in Honolulu-definitely check this beauty out-and plan to get a good cardiovascular workout in climbing to the top!

It was truly a wonderful experience.

We were blessed with great weather and were able to see a sunset like no other.

Just after the sun set, the weather seemed to turn bad, and it looked like we wouldn't be able to do any stargazing. However, thanks to the guides who didn't give up and persevered, we were able to see a beautiful starry sky! It definitely ranks among the top three starry skies I've seen in various places.

The guides were very kind, and luckily, one of them spoke Japanese, so they explained everything in both languages. I was very impressed by their hospitality.

If I have the opportunity again, I would definitely want to join this tour.

It's an early morning plan, but it's very helpful that they come to pick you up in front of the hotel. The sunrise from Diamond Head was amazing! They also stop by Leonard's, which I highly recommend because the malasadas are incredibly delicious. All the beaches were beautiful and very soothing. Our guide, Jonathan, took photos for us as well. He was very attentive, always providing a footrest when getting in and out of the car. The conversation was enjoyable, and I ended up chatting with him like a friend. He mentioned that he handles this plan every day, so I think those who participate in the future can feel reassured.

For lunch, you can choose whatever you like, and I had Giovanni's garlic shrimp, which was absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied with the nuts and coffee I was able to buy as souvenirs. They also drop you off back at the hotel. This plan does not include tips, so I gave him a tip at the end before saying goodbye.

This time, I participated with my child. It was a fun day with efficient sightseeing. Thank you very much! Mahalo!

After acclimatizing to the altitude at the visitor center, we drove up to the summit, where we were amazed by the sea of clouds below and the size of Mauna Loa. At the summit, after seeing various observatories from different countries, we enjoyed the main event: sunset viewing. We watched the setting sun from a quiet spot a little away from the crowded area filled with tourists. It was a magnificent sunset, even more grand than what we see from the ground. After that, we descended slightly for stargazing. The sky opened up 360 degrees, revealing the Milky Way, various constellations, Polaris, Saturn, and stars that are not visible from the ground, all clearly visible. The tour guide was perfect both on the way there and back, taking plenty of photos and ensuring we had a comfortable experience. If I have another opportunity, I would definitely like to use this service again.

I was torn between the sunrise tour with a Japanese guide and the sunset tour with an English guide, but I chose the sunset tour. There were no other Japanese participants besides us, and although we are not fluent in English, the guide helped us by speaking in Japanese at times, which was very helpful. The hot cocoa during the cold was also comforting!

Since we participated on a day close to the full moon, I heard that more stars are usually visible. However, we were able to see plenty of stars!

I don't speak English at all. Due to scheduling, I booked an English tour, but Chris, our driver, spoke to us in Japanese, so there were no difficulties.

We were the only Japanese participants, but I was very grateful that he provided explanations in Japanese at key points.

The tour content was relaxed and enjoyable. I felt reassured that everything proceeded according to schedule.

I was informed that I could receive a discount at Dole, but the staff there didn't seem to notice? I later realized that I ended up shopping at the regular price. I think it's better to proactively remind them when shopping.

It got a bit long, but I was able to participate in the tour without worrying about not understanding English. Thank you, Chris!

He was happily and contentedly watching from a spot where we could see the sunset and the Subaru Telescope. Seeing him like that made me happy as well. As for me, I love looking at the sky, and on this day, the combination of the sea of clouds, colorful clouds, and sunset created a wonderful scene. また星空については満月になって2日目という悪条件でしたが、満天の星に天の川・流れ星もみることができて大満足です。天体望遠鏡で土星をみせてくださったりレーザーをあてて星のレクチャーもしてくださいました。なんといっても天の川と一緒の写真は初体験で記念になる1枚となりました。そんな至れり尽くせりのガイドさんは日本語が上手で気さくなショウタロウさん。日本人ではないのですが参加者の半数が日本人だったこともあり、車の中でも着いてからもすへて英語と日本語で説明してくださいました。本当にラッキー！言葉がわかったので体験に深みがでたと思います。
サンドイッチも星空でのホットココアもおいしくて、本当に最高の体験でした。

The sunset from an elevation of 4,000 meters, higher than Mount Fuji, was simply amazing. The beauty created by the clouds and the setting sun is something I will never forget.

Although the starry sky was slightly clouded and the conditions weren't perfect, I was still able to see countless stars and the Milky Way. This is a tour I would recommend everyone experience at least once in their lifetime.

Our tour started off with a bit of rain but it got better when we stopped for coffee and a Leonard's malasada! Stephanie was very knowledgeable and had great stories about each place we passed and/or stopped to enjoy. Lunch was great at the Kahuku food truck area and the rest of the day was great as Stephanie gave us choices of whether we wanted to spend time at certain areas or just carry on to the next. As the rain started again on our way back Stephanie told us some stories of scary personal experiences of Hawaiian legends and folklore that happened on rainy days like this one. Such a great day of sightseeing and not having to drive could not have been better for me. Would certainly recommend this tour.

This was the one tour that my soon-to-be husband wanted to do since he is a big World War II fan. Our favorite part was visiting the USS Arizona and the aerial museum. The audio tour at Pearl Harbor was insightful for myself not knowing as much as my partner. It was a very long day and we were very hot when we got to the USS Missouri. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the pick up and drop off at our hotel.

Great hike with beautiful views

This was a great hike. My husband and I aren’t expert hikers but found this to be enjoyable. The trail is very uneven but most trails are. Wear comfy shoes and take water to stay hydrated. It takes about an hour to get to the top and the views above Honolulu are amazing. We had time to take pictures and enjoy before heading back down. The driver of the shuttle was funny and made the trip even better.

Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour with Meal, Transportation & Guide

Our guide was from Hawaii, born on Maui, and has been living on the Big Island for two years. He was handsome, had a great voice, and was genuinely kind. The weather wasn’t ideal — it was cloudy, though we did see the sea of clouds and a bit of sunlight breaking through. It still felt magical watching the sunset above the clouds, even without a clear sky. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any stars that night, probably due to the season (I went in late October). But the next day, on another tour, I did see a sky full of stars — so it’s still possible! Be prepared for altitude sickness; I felt lightheaded at the summit and was glad we descended soon after sunset. Overall, it was a good experience despite the bumpy mountain road — and it felt great to have “checked off” the highest mountain in the world (from base to peak).

Kualoa Ranch Movie Sites Tour - Visit TV Shows & Hollywood Filming Locations

Great activity while in Oahu

My wife and I enjoyed the tour of the movie and TV locations. Seeing the actual site of the filming locations was fun. Very beautiful area. The WW2 bunker was very interesting as well.
