Q. Are photo or video services available?
A. No, professional photo or video services are not available, but you are welcome to bring your own camera, just make sure it's strapped on.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. No, this is purely a sailing tour and there will be no swimming.
Q. Can I go into the water on this tour?
A. No, you do not enter the water on this sail.
Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. Yes, life jackets will be required to be worn at all times.
Q. What kind of boat will be used?
A. A 65ft long and 32ft wide US Coast Guard Certified Sailing Catamaran that was built in St. Croix, Virgin Islands in August of 2005. Offering a capacity of 80 passengers, a covered cabin seating area, two large, freshwater restrooms, an impressive Bose surround sound system, LCD TV, sunbathing net areas, and even pilothouse seating, no expense has been spared in the making of Makani.
Q. Will we see whales?
A. Every year Humpback Whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii, and although not guaranteed, they are often seen between the months of December and April.
Q. What kinds of drinks are served?
A. Various alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, water, and juices are served. Beer listing includes Longboard, Corona, Heineken, and Primo. Liquors and mixed drinks include Maitai's, various rums, Blue Hawaii, Margaritas, and Long Island Iced Tea.
Q. Are there any snacks available onboard?
A. Snacks are available for purchase during the sail.
Q. Is there parking available?
A. For guests who are driving to the check-in at Kewalo Basin Harbor, metered parking rates are $1 per hour. The parking lot is located at 1125 Ala Moana Blvd.
