Who said that only swimmers can go under the sea??
Reviewed by: Dilu Braga, 2016/09/30First I was really afraid because I can barely float, I don't swimming if is not at the pool and going short distance. But I decided to have a new experience as a solo traveler in Hawaii as my first visit. The crew were just amazing, the lady at office received me with a big smile and was very friendly. The rest of the crew really made me feels good and my fears went away. When we got to the spot in the sea the first animal I saw was a turtle, and was an amazing feeling. While the crew organizing every scooter the only thing in my mind was "oh please I don't want to be the first one", after the captain told me I will be the next, I ended up being the third person going under. Words can not explain, you really need to go and have this experience where you can actually be close and touch animals under the sea.
I was lucky enough to see turtles, different kind of fish and even an octopus that got stuck on my big helmet for my pictures and video.
By the end of the day I got my photos and video, I've played my video and couldn't believe that the woman was me, they really did a good job, from the beginning to the end
I really recommend BOB's Adventure underwater scooter, specially if you don't swim at all, like me.
PS: I took the bus to get there from downtown, the commute was really easy and you will get so see more.

Ok experience

Great Honeymoon Activity

Nothing like Snorkeling when a sea turtle just swims up to you!!
Reviewed by: Daniel Haquet, 2016/07/14We did this as part of our anniversary week in Oahu and all I can say is if you are "thinking" of doing this, stop thinking and just DO IT! It's an experience you will never forget and the fact that we got to pet and swim along a sea turtle in the ocean is simply awesome!! The crew was amazing, the water was warm and it's something we'll never forget, the crew made this a very memorable experience.

Underwater spectacular

It is like you are transported to another world and underwater world and I got to see fish, turtles, sting rays - just amazing - you won't regret it. Truly an adventure

The divers were friendly and accomodating we were never rushed. Fish and turtles are so close you can touch them great photo opportunities. Highly recommend

Great Experience
Reviewed by: KrisG, 2015/12/27It is a great experience doing the Underwater scooter. The guides were excellent making sure we are comfortable right from the beginning. It was a 1 to 1 guided adventure. The guides captured excellent pictures and videos of us individually and as as a couple with the beautiful fishes!. The plus thing is they do have all the snorkeling gear available for free so once you are done or you decide when your turn is you can do snorkeling.

Scooter with fishes and turtles
Reviewed by: BHM104, 2015/10/11Since you're scootering around in a bay, you won't have the beauty of any coral reefs but bread feeding will attract the fish and the experience as a whole is alot of fun. You can snorkel around and if you have an underwater camera like I did, you can take some really fun pictures. There are scuba diving lessons going on in the area as well as the water jet pack session. The captain and the diving crew were fun and helpful. Your safety is the #1 thing on their minds. The water was warm enough and even though we were on a boat with no English speaking people, we all had a good time.

Hilight of our trip!
Reviewed by: Wee T., 2015/08/15We've been to Oahu a couples of times and have always done different excursions. By far BOB's underwater scooter was the best one we have ever done! Everything from the pick to the drop off to our hotel was a great experience! Everyone on their team was extremely courteous and friendly. The water scooter itself was such an amazing experience. It was very easy and comfortable to ride the scooters. To be that comfortable and see the beauty of the underwater life was breathe taking. I high recommend not only this excursion but this company of you are looking for a lifetime of amazing memories!

Friendly bunch
Reviewed by: Dave, 2015/07/31Good time was had by all. If you don't have good sea legs, the captain may allow you to snorkel around the boat weather permitting. Be prepared to wait for others to have their turn, but you can see the fish whilst waiting as they are used to come up for feeding. The team were friendly and well organised (expect to tip at the end), good activity, although it doesn't top scuba diving.

Family Fun!

Although I struggled with motion-sickness (while waiting for our turn to go down), once I was underwater, what an amazing experience that was!! My 10-year old who had to stand (she is just little above 4 feet) didn't mind that at all. She really enjoyed the experience, and begged us to go back again. So we will do this again when we visit Oahu next time. Not far from the shore, but the nature was just magnificent. The way nature and animals peacefully coexist with humans just catalyzed our Hawaii experience, and this adventure was well worth the cost! The staff was also very professional, and knowledgeable. Only if they cautioned us about motion sickness earlier on ;-)

Bob's underwater adventure was amazing

We saw, touched and fed the tropical fish. They took pictures of us underwater as well which will become a nice memory keepsake. A must do when visiting the island of O'ahu and so worth the money that we spent.

It was OK

Reviewed by: Greatest Auntie ever~!, 2012/10/11I wanted to surprise my teenage nieces, so I decided to take them on those neat underwater scooters, and they had a blast. They are 15 years old and I thought they would be bored but they were not. They were so excited!!! The scooters were pretty easy to get used to, and my nieces had an easy time in the water.
They especially liked the idea that your hair doesn't get wet while in the bubble. We didn't see any big reef formations or turtles, but we did see a lot of small fish. I would recommend taking some motion sickness pills before boarding though, it did get a little rocky out there on the boat.
Staff was very friendly and attentive towards us, my nieces thought the crew were very good looking and wanted me to point this out. My nieces were hungry afterwards and this activity is in a very good location. A lot of places in walking distance to get some lunch since we all worked up an appetite. OH AND FREE PARKING if you opt to drive out instead of taking their transportatio

BOB's Underwater Adventure

Especially for me as I'm a bit paranoid with being underwater and don't like water in my face and can't even handle snorkeling. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to handle it but after the initial nervousness of being submerged, I was able to see all the wonderful sites of colorful fish and sea turtles and my hair didn't even get wet!!! It was amazing!

Unique is the word

But the staff was very helpful and he overcame his fears. There was also time for snorkling, which was great. A definitely must do. Recommendable for everyone.

Highlight of our Trip !!!

We decided to give it a shot, and it was simply the hightlight of the trip ! The staff was friendly and they took amazing pictures of our whole group. They allowed us to stay longer than normal which was great and Donovan, the head honcho was a really relaxed guy and made us all feel at ease. YOU MUST GO !!!!!!!!!

Don't Miss this Adventure
Reviewed by: First Visit to Hawaii, 2008/11/15Could not have been happier with the experience. Incredible scuba like experience - even for the non-swimmers. This is a definate must do when you are in Honolulu area.
Wonderful guides manuevered us around, gave us fish food and then dozen of incredible fish ate right out of our hand - it was great.
Their shuttle picked us up at the Waikiki Sheraton, We watched a quick video, they explained what was going to happen and we all board a boat that took us out into a calm harbor. BOB is a Scooter with a bubble attached and was very very easy to get used to.

Good underwater experience

If luckly, you can also snokeling with turtle like us. We recommend to try it to have a first experience under the water if you can't swim.
