the show was great and the sunset right off the beach was incredible. the food was delicious and we all had a wonderful time.
Was surprised that there are no tables to eat meal at. However, crew did a great job on the cruise and food was very good! Not much of a sunset because of clouds but we did see some whales so that was good! If it wasn’t for the quality of the food, I would have been disappointed. Everyone working on the shop was very accommodating and very friendly.
Had a great time seeing the whales. One of the crew ladies was a little rude but overall it was a great time. Would recommend it to anyone looking to see some whales.
Our driver Scottie from Temptation Tours was the best I've ever seen. Kept us engaged the whole ride. Knew everything about the island, people, history. Knew all of the best places to stop, where all of the good and bad bathrooms were down to the minute. Told us when the drive by pic was coming up so that we knew to get our phones/camera ready. Stopped multiple times and took the best video and pics of not only us but something cool on the stop. The wraps at lunch were superb. The captain's chairs in the van were perfect. Flying back with Troy from Maui Air was just as incredible. He played cool music and the ride was smooth. Saw a bunch of the falls and even played a little "chase and ride along" a friend he spotted in an ultralight. Highly recommend this combo. We were back at the hotel by early afternoon! Veltra Tours made it so easy and kept us up to date via email during our trip.
I'm so happy we did this on our vacation. The experience was beautiful. The boat sailed right up to the sand to pick us up. The crew were all professional and friendly. They helped us on and off in the tricky surf conditions. Quite a few people got really wet so take that warning serious and dress appropriately.
The appetizers and drinks were delicious and top-notch. The sea was a little choppy so a few people in our party were sea sick, but I recommend half a dramamine.
We saw whales breaching in the distance as the sun set over the waves. Overall and amazing experience, would recommend 10/10.
This is an excellent company to tour with. The weather could have been better, but that is out of their control. They were very friendly and professional, and the boat was clean and fun. Would consider them again, snorkeling was okay, I've had better and worse.
The Japanese guide, who is 75 years old, spends half a year in Hawaii and half a year in Tokyo, and he certainly doesn't look like a senior citizen. It was wonderful to see him enjoying his life. Thanks to him, I was able to communicate in Japanese, and I think it was great that I got to see whales multiple times. I would love to go again.

It was a fantastic and impressive show that my husband, who visited Hawaii for the first time, thoroughly enjoyed! However, there were hardly any Japanese people on Maui, and my husband, who doesn't understand English, couldn't follow the explanations or guidance.
I also only understood a bit (just everyday conversation), so I was anxious about communication, but I was busy supporting my husband... haha.
Since it's an overseas trip, it's natural, but be aware that it won't be like Honolulu, where you see Japanese people everywhere.

A Wonderful experience! The day was beautiful, the guide was knowledgeable, the bus was comfortable, and the food was very good. I drove to the summit of Haleakalā the day before, but it was covered in clouds and I couldn't see the crater. This time, I was able to see the crater perfectly on a helicopter tour, and it was breathtaking. I also saw countless waterfalls and was very satisfied.

Although it was raining the entire day, we had a blast!
Thoroughly enjoyed this experience despite the early start and the freezing temperature! Collected from our hotel at 3am by Netty. Very informative time on the coach, which was very comfortable but also allowed some time to nap before arriving at the mountain top. It was very cold despite wearing lots of layers ( we had been warned!) and our hotel had lent us blankets. Had about an hours wait before the sun started to come up. The sunrise was beautiful. We stopped for a good breakfast on the way back and returned to our hotel around 11am.
I was able to talk with the other participants at the first donut shop we visited, which made me feel a sense of closeness, and that was great. We climbed slowly to the summit while taking breaks, so we were able to reach the top without any issues. I enjoyed listening to the guide's fun stories and personal anecdotes, and I had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the sunset turned out to be a sun hidden behind the clouds, but the change in the colors of the sky was moving. Thank you very much.

Preston was our driver for the tour and he was hilarious. He managed to make our entire group laugh and stay engaged on our ride up to Haleakala. We felt safe with him as our tour leader and driver and would assure anyone going with Preston that you would have a great time. I HIGHLY recommend anyone considering the visit to view the sunrise to go with a tour group as the drive up is completely dark, on extremely narrow roads, and quite difficult to navigate. We had a care rental for our entire trip but were incredibly glad that we went with the route of having an operator take us up and down the mountain. The tour was informative and just so easy--from pick-up to drop-off.
My family was blown away with how close the whales were to our boat. Two whales came right up next to our boat and lifted their heads for pictures. My family was very happy with the experience. It gets very rocky so a bigger boat for smaller kids would be suggested.
The weather was cloudy, but since it wasn't raining, we set sail hoping for clearer skies. The waves were a bit high on the way to Molokini Island, and I thought there would be some swells when we arrived. My wife was a bit nervous since it was her first time snorkeling, and the swells seemed to heighten her fear.
As we returned to the boat to head to the next point, the ride was quite bumpy, and my wife got completely seasick. We were by the window inside the boat, but even with the window closed, seawater splashed in when the waves hit.
The next point had calmer waves, but we rested on the boat. I appreciate the Japanese tour guide for being attentive to even the smallest details. This will be one of our memories.

日本の添乗員さんは、かなり細かいところまで気を使ってもらい感謝です。

The experience was nice...the whales could have been a little more cooperative & shown themselves more, but that’s nature....we had a very nice time....not over crowded (16 guests), that helped!! Our guide was very informative regarding the whales as he travels with them back to Alaska every year....

The weather was great on the day of the cruise, and not only did we encounter several whales, but we also witnessed a lot of action. At the end, we were even able to see a big jump from the whales about four times, which made for a very satisfying experience!
I had previously participated in whale watching in Oahu, but the number of whales and how close we could get to them was completely different. I'm really glad I joined this tour in Maui. Due to the geographical features, it seems that there are more whales visiting Maui than Oahu. I highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting Maui during the whale watching season! :)

マウイ島に到着してからの申し込みで、3日後という急な予約であったにも関わらず、日本語ガイドさんのリクエストにも応えて頂けました。
当日は天気もよく、何頭ものクジラに出会うことができただけでなく、たくさんのアクションも見ることが出来ました。
なんと最後には大きなジャンプ姿も4回ほど見られて、大満足の体験でした！
オアフ島でもホエールウォッチングに参加したことがあったのですが、クジラの数や、見れる近さも全然違い、マウイ島でこのツアーに参加できてとてもよかったです。地形の特性上、オアフ島よりもマウイ島の方が訪れるクジラの数が多いようです。ホエールウォッチングの時期にマウイ島に来られた方は是非お勧めしたいアクティビティです:)

We came to Maui for our 30th wedding anniversary trip. This was our third tour with Trilogy, but it was our first time on the sunset cruise. On the day of the reservation, we were informed that the pickup location changed from Ka'anapali Resort to Lahaina Harbor due to high waves, as boarding from the beach was deemed dangerous.
We departed a little later than scheduled, but we managed to secure good seats at the front, and drinks and snacks were served throughout the cruise. We were the only Japanese guests, and the cheerful and friendly atmosphere created by the Americans was a lot of fun. It became a wonderful memory.
