My wife and I went on this snorkeling cruise in late February, and it was the funnest part of our vacation on Oahu. Allthough there are many choices for snorkeling you could take while in Hawaii, and on Oahu, I really think this was good for the price. The crew, the lunch, and especially the place where we snorkled - Kaneohe Bay. Fantastic! The sandbar was fun, I think they should spend more time there, or incorporate another tour that would be just for those wanting to lounge around on the sandbar and have some drinks and food. We are glad that we went on this activity, and would do it again!

Unfortunately, our trip was canceled due to bad weather, but I wanted to share my experience for future reference. When I called the tour company at 6 PM the evening before our reservation to confirm the boat departure for the next morning, everything was still on schedule. About 30 minutes after the meeting time, the captain informed us that we would go to the Na Pali Coast, but we wouldn't be able to go near Niihau Island. He explained that those who were going that day would receive a 25% refund on the tour price, and we could either change our schedule or cancel. I felt that the explanation was quite considerate. We decided to change our schedule. The earliest we could reschedule was two days later, so we made the change for that date.

Also, for tours on Kauai, it might be better to book in spring or summer when there are generally more good weather days compared to winter. We booked this tour after reading about it on a web site. We asked our kids do you want to go to amusemant park setting and touch dolphins, OR swim with them in the ocean, and the results was unanimous The wild ones in the ocean! They picked us up at our hotel and took us to the boat, they were very friendly and punctual. The staff on the boat were beyond awesome. They were fun and explained everything and paid special attention to our 9 year old who was a little scared to go out in the big ocean. Pete sense her fear, and took control and jumped in the water with her and she had the best seat in the house on his back swimming with dolphins! He even brough her up a sea urchin to delight her while she was eating lunch! We had pretty rough water but the captain on the boat did a great job, very obvious he knew exactly what to do in in rough ocean. They bbq'd burgers for lunch with purple colored hamburger buns wheich totally delighted our daughter! They entertained us afterward

We participated as a family of four (two children, a middle schooler and a high schooler). On time, Alan, a tall man, picked us up at the hotel in a van. After that, we went to the office to get our fins, and we headed to Hanauma Bay on the highway. There were only four of us participants. We took a separate route from the general public and received VIP treatment to the beach, where we immediately started snorkeling. All five of us held hands, and Alan, at the front, guided us to various spots, allowing us to see many fish. It was about an hour in total. We went to a place where we couldn't touch the bottom, but since we had floatation devices attached to our bodies, even those who couldn't swim felt safe. In March, Hanauma can feel a bit chilly, so I think it's a good idea to bring a rash guard. We bought ours at a low price. Since the half-day course was short, we thought we would like to go to Hanauma again just the two of us and take it easy. I highly recommend this course for first-time snorkelers. Alan was a very kind and gentle gentleman. The kids even got to take pictures with him.

The staff's service is outstanding. They are friendly and approachable. The pilot was cautious and serious, and the explanations were easy to understand (he's from Hawaii). It was the most comfortable helicopter ride I've ever experienced.

I started to get a bit bored with the endless expanse of volcanic ash and land, but then came the breathtaking beauty of the Kohala Coast and Waipi'o Valley!!!! I think this beauty can only be appreciated from a helicopter. When I spotted a mother and baby whale swimming from above and informed the pilot, he kindly showed us from an angle where everyone could see, which was truly moving.

For those who want to condense the essence of the vast Hawaii Island into a short time, this adventure comes highly recommended.

I participated with my child. The staff were very accommodating, and we had a great time. During snorkeling, we were able to see many beautiful fish, which was an amazing experience. However, it was unfortunate that the cloudy sky made the sea not shine as brightly as it does in pictures. Lastly, the BBQ we had on the boat was delicious, and we made wonderful memories. I highly recommend this for couples to join.

We had a great time on this cruise/snorkel activity. The staff on the boat were friendly and knowledgeable. The snorkeling on the reef was awesome with lots of colorful corals and many different fish. We saw a turtle in the water while we were snorkeling and followed it for awhile. We played water volleyball on the sandbar and it was lots of fun. The boat stopped at a spot where there are green turtles and we saw lots of them. The guitar serenade during lunch was a nice touch. I would recommend this cruise to others.

This was my second time participating. Last year, I joined with three friends and was so impressed by the beauty of the ocean that I wanted my boyfriend, who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, to see it too, so I participated with him this time.

Since it was February, which is winter, I felt that the ocean wasn't as beautiful as it was during the summer when I participated last time. I thought the season might not be the best for me, but my boyfriend, who was participating for the first time, was amazed by the beautiful sea.

Especially since I'm not very good at swimming, I was moved by the snorkeling experience where, even if you can't swim well, you can still see the beautiful corals and the colorful fish swimming around.

The staff on this tour had such high energy and kept us entertained throughout. So, if you're looking to have a fun time with a group or just want to enjoy some lively company, this is definitely the right choice. Even if you go alone, I think you'll have a great time!

今回は2月という冬場だったので、前回夏場に参加したときより海の綺麗さがなく、私にとってはちょっぴりイマイチ季節が悪かったかなって思っていましたが、初参加の彼は美しい海に感動していました。
特に、あまり泳ぎは得意なほうではないのですが、シュノーケリングで泳げなくても美しい珊瑚と群がる綺麗なお魚が見れるので感動です。
こちらのツアーは、スタッフの方々のテンションがとても高く、始終楽しませてくれます。なので、わいわいしたい人やグループでの参加なら盛り上がることは間違いないでしょうし、一人での参加でも楽しめそうです。

This was one of my and my husbands favorite things we did our first time out to Hawaii. We were thrilled we were in whale infested waters and it was super cool to have the whales literally swimming under us, as we saw and heard them. It was awesome one whale swam right under our guide (Griff) who got amazing photos of the whole experience!

Would definitely do this again during whale season! Snorkeling to see the green sea turtles was amazing too. And all by getting a little exercise, rowing. Nice!

My family and I totally agree that this was the best tour that we did while we were in Hawaii. A friend of mine had told me about the rays on the big island, but I totally didn't think that it was going to be that amazing. The crew members were really attentive and once we got into the water, it was like being in some alien planet with the rays around us and the plankton glowing under the lights. Doing this again if I ever get back to Hawaii!!!!

I went on Captain Bob's Snorkeling Adventure with 4 friends last week and we all agreed that it was the BEST day we spent in Hawaii. The crew was FANTASTIC; fun, entertaining, knowledgeable, laid back... perfect!

The ocean volleyball and snorkeling at our own reef was a welcome change from the crowds in Waikiki.

I highly recommend this trip to everyone visiting Oahu! We have all decided to bring our kids and do this trip again on our next visit to the island.

Thanks to Daniel-son, Jenner, Macho Taco, Kelly and the rest of the crew for a perfect day!

The staff were very entertaining, and my family had a great time. The sea was beautiful and felt amazing. I was very satisfied with the delicious lunch. However, I got too carried away and forgot that I had my phone in my pocket, which ended up getting submerged in water. I advise anyone participating to be very careful.

The weather wasn't that great, so snorkeling was honestly chilling to the bone! But seeing the sea turtles was amazing! The sandwiches served on the boat were really delicious♪ The sandbar was also impressive~! It's definitely worth a visit.

Wow, we new the Napali Coast was impressive but we had no idea how beautiful it would be. With blue water, amazing cliffs and dolphins swimming alongside. we even saw a few humpback whales! the staff was very friendly and the snorkeling was great. We will certainly come back!

I participated in the afternoon session on January 15 (Saturday). The weather was not just sunny, but perfectly clear. The sunlight was so strong that it was quite hot, so even when I got into the water, it wasn't too cold. There were many participants, over 40? It was fully booked. We saw a lot of green sea turtles, and the sandbar was just exposed due to the low tide. The tour staff mentioned it was the first time they had seen such a low tide. The staff's service was good, and I was particularly impressed by a lively woman in her thirties. She had a nice figure and even wore a belly button ring. Although she was married... They also took commemorative photos for us, and the snorkeling allowed us to see plenty of fish. The BBQ lunch afterward was very delicious, especially the chicken. My wife was also very pleased. 天気は晴れじゃなく快晴。とても日差しが強く暑いぐらいでしたので、水の中に入ってもそう寒くはなかったです。
参加者は多く、40人以上？満席状態でした。
アオウミガメもたくさん見れましたし、サンドバーは、丁度引き潮の時間帯だったので砂が海面から出てきたところでした。ツアースタッフ5名もこんなに引いたのは初めて見たと言ってました。スタッフの対応も良く、三十路のお姉さん？がとても元気だったのが印象に残りました。へそピーなんか付けちゃって、なかなかスタイルも良かったです。既婚ですが・・。記念撮影もしてくれましたし、シュノーケリングも魚が良く見れたし、その後のBBQランチもとても美味しかったです。チキンが良かった。うちのかみさんも大変喜んでくれました。記念写真は＄10ですが高いとは思いません。中には、ビデオ撮影の方もいらっしゃいました。
1月でも天候に恵まれれば寒くないです。
また参加したいと思っています。
新婚さんから熟年カップル、ファミリー、グループ、皆さん楽しめます。リピーターも多いのではないでしょうか？

I participated with my mother, and this was my graduation trip to Hawaii. Among all the activities, this snorkeling tour was my main goal. I had read experiences from those who participated before, so I joined with high expectations, and it did not disappoint—every moment turned out to be the best day ever!

The sandbar was incredibly beautiful, and while snorkeling, I swam among small fish that were deeper than my feet could reach. This feeling is something you can only truly understand by experiencing it with your own body and eyes.

I'm not a strong swimmer, so I was a bit scared about snorkeling in deep water, but wearing a life jacket ensured I wouldn't sink, and everyone was close by, which made me feel safe. There were also a few people who just walked on the sandbar and observed the snorkeling from the boat.

I joined in the afternoon, and I was worried about getting hungry since lunch was after the sandbar and snorkeling. However, before we departed from the harbor, we were able to enjoy Leonard's malasadas and drinks, which was great.

The crew members were all wonderful people, and they made the experience enjoyable. The buffet-style lunch was also incredibly delicious! If I ever come back to Hawaii, I would definitely want to join this tour again!☆

お昼からの参加でしたが、昼食はサンドバーとシュノーケリングが終わってからということで、お腹がすくかな？と心配だったのですが、港を出発する前にレナーズのマラサダと飲み物をいただけたのでよかったです。

Overall, it was just okay.

I think the tour is affected by the weather! In my case, it was as follows:

- The weather was bad and cold, and the wind was strong.
- As a result, the water clarity was not great (when the sunlight came through, it was very beautiful).
- The sandbar was not formed (maybe because of the weather?).
→ There was a shallow area in the middle of the sea, but there were no parts shallow enough to see the ground.

I participated in mid-November.

The day before, I went to take sunset photos while confirming the meeting place, and since the catamaran had just returned, I assumed this was the right spot. However, when I arrived on the day, the catamaran was gone, and I panicked. I asked a nearby hotel staff, and they said it was "five hotels down." Since I was cutting it close to the meeting time, I dashed over, and just as I did, the catamaran was coming towards the beach from offshore. (Sweat, sweat, sweat)

I misunderstood because the hotel was part of the same group.
(The meeting place is in front of Outrigger Reef on the Beach, but I ended up at Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. Please be careful.) Looking back, the catamaran that returned was also a different boat.

At the reception, there was one staff member who understood some Japanese (they had a Japanese reference book), but the other staff seemed not to understand Japanese.

Once on board, there was an explanation of precautions, all in English (which is to be expected).

About five minutes in, my wife got seasick. (I recommend taking seasickness medication for those who are prone to it.)
When we reached the turtle habitat point, snorkeling and free diving began (you can dive about 10 meters).

参加前日にサンセットの写真を撮りに行きながら集合場所の確認に行き丁度カタマランが帰って来たのでこの場所で良いと思い込み、当日を迎えてその場所に行くとカタマランが無く、焦ってしまい近くのホテルのスタッフに聞くと『５つ先のホテル』との事でした。
集合時間ギリギリだったのでダッシュして行くと沖合からカタマランがビーチに向かって来ました。（汗・汗・汗）
≪集合場所は、写真の看板を参考に・・・≫

ホテルが同じグループだったので勘違いしてしまいました。
（アウトリガー・リーフ・オン・ザ・ビーチ前が集合場所ですが、アウトリガー・ワイキキ・オン・ザ・ビーチ前に行ってしまいました。要注意して下さい。）
今、思うと帰って来たカタマランも違う船でした。

受付では、片言の日本語が解るスタッフ（日本語の参考書を持ってました。）が一人いましたが、その他のスタッフは日本語が解らない様子でした。

乗船してから注意事項等説明が有ります。すべて英語（当然ですよね。）

５分位で嫁さんは、船酔いでダウン。（船に弱い方は酔止め
の投薬をおすすめします。）
ホヌの生息ポインに着くとシュノーケリング・素潜り開始
（１０ｍ位潜れます。）
１時間位停泊していました。
１０匹以上のホヌに遭遇し大感動でした。

その後、湾内のクルージングしてくれ海上からダイヤモンドヘッド、ホテル群を見る事が出来てこれも感動です。


次回は、サンセットクルーズに乗船し船上からのサンセットを見てみたいです。

Unfortunately, due to the weather, I couldn't see the beautiful sea like in the pictures or commercials, but the staff's service and the snorkeling experience were both wonderful☆

I got to see sea turtles and coral reefs, and the snacks on the boat were unexpectedly delicious, which made me very satisfied.

This excursion was worth the money spent. My new husband had never snorkeled before so it was nice to have an experienced guide teach us how to do it. The Kayaking portion was nice and good exercise while we got to go out further than we would have without the kayaks. The guide, Steve, knew tremendous amounts about the area, ocean, animal life and more. He was helpful and funny throughout the entire experience. It was great to see turtles in and out of the water, an octopus, urchins, as well as schools of fish. Small group, us and a family, which the made the experience that much more intimate and special.

Despite taking motion sickness medication, I felt a bit nauseous on the way there. Two of my friends also got seasick.

Since swimming seemed tiring, I borrowed a float and went snorkeling. The water was cold, and the waves made me feel even more nauseous, but the clarity of the sea was amazing, and I could see deep down.

I was expecting colorful tropical fish (like Nemo), but instead, there were various medium-sized fish.

Both breakfast and lunch looked delicious, but I couldn't eat anything at all because I was feeling sick. I couldn't even drink anything, which was really disappointing.

The restroom was spacious, and since I changed right after getting out of the sea, I didn't feel cold.

On the way back, it was great to see a whale. I thought I would like to participate again next time.

Kayaking is a great way to observe different snorkeling sites. Lots of friendly sea turtles and was able to hear the songs of the humpback whales. Would have liked to see more varieties of fish. For a kayaker used to a 1-person boat, the 2-person kayak was more limiting. Our guide provided a lot of information about the sea life in the area. It was very informational. Overall a good day.

Molokini Crater & Turtle Arches Snorkeling Tour & Snuba Dive - Aqua Adventures

A great Snuba Year's Eve!

We saw so many turtles! We had a little trouble with Snuba because of some ear pain, but our dive instructor was great at working with us. They even stopped on the way back for some whale watching and we saw a whole pod! Definitely recommended for a great adventure
