We had an amazing encounter with this one whale that came under our boat. It happens but it's very rare, and this male whale did it twice! We could really see how huge this animal was up-close. I'd highly recommend doing a whale watching cruise in Maui. It's AWESOME!

I participated because it was close to my hotel, departing from Kaanapali Beach. February is said to be a great time for whale watching, and I was able to see many whales up close. Visibility gets poor in the afternoon, so morning is recommended!

カアナパリビーチからの出発で自分の泊まっているホテルから近かったので、参加しました。ちょうど2月はホエールウォッチングに良い時期らしく、とにかくたくさんのクジラを間近で見ることができました。昼は視界が悪くなるので、朝がオススメです！

I was able to cruise for a very long time.

I did whale watching, snorkeling, and sailing for lunch—all of it.

I think being out at sea longer than any other boat in the harbor shows the quality of service.

I will definitely use this again when I come to Maui.

A delightful small group of six experience. John was right on top of everything- He was knowledgable on how to use all the equipment and guided us to the best-ever reef for snorkeling.
We saw many whales and two even gently surfaced about 15 feet away from our kayak.
The reef was beautiful and very active with sealife- including giant turtles that hung around to greet us as we snorkled.
Refreshing fresh food picnic. Best deli-style turkey sandwhich ever!

What an experience to be so close to these huge, beautiful creatures. The guides were friendly and a wealth of information. I learned so much that I was the expert when I returned to the cruise ship we were on and was able to share some impressive information about the hump back whales behaviors. Not to be missed if you are visiting during the winter.

Molokini is one of the best spot for snorkel/snuba the water is way more clear then the beaches, tons of exotic fish for you to swim with and this group of guys are the best. Delicious food, ice cold drinks and everyone are very friendly, the best customer service I have encountered. With the captain's guidance we were able to spot lots of whales and sea turtles as well. If you decide to go to molokini make sure you go with these guys, you will not regret it.

The preferred seating was behind a whole section of hotel preferred seating. So don't pay for that. Food was buffet style and tasteless. The drinks are premade with ice and sitting on large trays, getting watered down, so the staff can just grab them fast. The said they had a full bar, but when we asked for something else, the bartender was upset he had to make it. Only 2 types of beer. They did advertising of products they were selling in the hotel 4 times during the show. We had a people that live on the island tell us we should have gone to the Luau in Lahaina.

It was a cold, rainy day in late January. I participated without receiving the cancellation notice I was expecting. Even under the gloomy rain clouds, the visibility was high, and I think the scenery would have been breathtaking if it had been sunny.

After moving to a different location, the sun began to peek through, and I enjoyed swimming in the area where the sea turtles were. Both places had clear water, but it was a pity that there were few tropical fish.

１月下旬の寒い雨降りの日でした。期待した中止連絡はなく、参加しました。どんより雨雲の下でも透明度は高く、晴れていれば感動する景色だったと思います。
場所を移動後は徐々に晴れ間も見えてきて、ウミガメのいる場所での遊泳を堪能しました。
どちらも透明な海でしたが、熱帯魚が少ないことは残念でした。

We were very pleased with this cruise. The boat was quite nice and not crowded at all. The service by the crew was attentive and and well organized. The provided transportation was efficient and a welcome perk. We highly recommend the cruise.

The tour was canceled due to bad weather on the day of the event, but I was able to reschedule for the next day.

And that was the best decision! The next day, whales were popping up everywhere, and at one point, a pod of whales was right beneath the boat, surfacing around us multiple times. It was amazing!

I'm glad I didn't give up and participated.

翌日はいたるところにクジラがバンバン出てきて最後には船の真下にクジラの群れがいて船の周りに何回も出てきて最高でした❗️

Although the weather was bad on the day, I insisted on having our guide, Yamapi, take us to various places. Along the way, we stopped at a power spot, and enjoyed Lolee's Shave Ice and Blackjack, which were a lot of fun.

Thank you, Yamapi, for being so flexible and accommodating. I definitely want to come back again.

当日天候が悪くてハレアカラには行けなかったけど、無理を言ってガイドの山ピーにいろんなところに連れて行ってもらいました。
途中、パワースポットによったり、ロリーンのシェイブアイスやブラックジャック楽しかったです。

臨機応変に対応してくれた山ピーありがとうごさいました。
是非また来たいと思います。

I went to Maui to participate in the Maui Oceanfront Marathon, and there was a place I absolutely wanted to visit during my stay before the marathon... the summit of Haleakalā. I was the only Japanese person there, but I waited for the sunrise with the other foreigners and shared that moment. It was the best time... the emotions were conveyed even without speaking English. I was able to understand parts of the guide's talk, and I'm really glad I participated! The breakfast after the sightseeing was also delicious, enjoyed at a beautiful spot in the golf course clubhouse!

日本人は私1人でしたが、周りの外人さんと一緒にサンライズを待ちその瞬間を共有・
最高のひと時・・感動は、英語が話せなくても伝わりました。
ガイドさんのお話もところどころ理解でき、参加して本当に良かった!!
観光後の朝食も、ゴルフコースのクラブハウス景色の良い場所でいただき美味しかった!!

You can't go to Maui during whale season and not go on a whale watching cruise. Would do this again the next time we go to Maui.

Excellent trip with the crew on Aqua Adventure! This was our 2nd time with Aqua and WE plan on doing it again in January of 2016!

The whale experience was good and the boat met the needs of all. The whales weren't real "active" but that is nature!
The only issue I had was printing off the ticket voucher. We were in a condo with no print access so I had to ask a neighbour to print it after emailing it to them. Not sure how you fix this but it was a minor inconvenience.

I was worried about the time changes, but it turned out that as long as you can speak a little English, it's not a problem. I was able to see the whales up close, which was more than I expected, and it was truly moving. There were no Japanese people around, and there was no Japanese guide at all, but if you're just there to see, it's not an issue. I want to go again.

時間変更やらで、心配のはじまりでしたが、英語を片言でも話せれば問題ない感じ。予想以上にくじらは近くで見れたし感動です。日本人はいないし日本語のガイドは全くないが見るだけなら問題ない。また行きたいです

The whale watching plan at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel was a cozy experience, not on a large boat leaving from Lahaina Harbor, but rather on a smaller vessel that accommodates about 30 people. The tour guide, captain, and staff were full of hospitality, and they would bring you soft drinks and snacks for free upon request, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in whale watching.

While I saw several whales passing by, I was disappointed that there weren't any standout moments. However, in the latter part of the tour, I was thrilled to witness five consecutive breaches, which was incredibly moving.

You board the boat from Kaanapali Beach, so I recommend wearing clothes that are okay to get wet or something that covers your knees. You can park your car in the hotel’s multi-story parking lot. After the tour, if you get your parking ticket stamped at the beach kiosk, it's free, but you must submit the stamped parking ticket at the hotel entrance bell desk for the free processing when you leave. There are no attendants at the parking lot exit, so if you get stuck there, you might face honking from the cars behind you. Please be careful.

After our tour, we went shopping at the nearby Whalers Village before processing our parking ticket, which saved us some parking fees.

カアナパリビーチホテルのホエールウォッチングプランで、ラハイナ港から出る大きな船ではなく、３０名くらいしか乗船できないアットホームなプランでした。
ツアーガイドも船長もスタッフもホスピタリティ満載で、ソフトドリンクや軽食も頼めばフリーで持ってきてくれますので、鯨観察に没頭できます。
通りすがりの鯨は何頭も見たのですが、これといったシーンがなく残念に思っていた後半に、なんと５連続で鯨のブリーチングを見ることができ、大感動でした。

船には、カアナパリビーチから乗り込みますから、ひざ上位の服か、水にぬれてもＯＫという服装で参加したほうが良いと思います。
車は、ホテルの立体駐車場に停めます。ツアー参加後にビーチキオスクで駐車印を押してもらえばタダですが、車を出すときに、ホテル入口のベルデスクで駐車印を押したパーキングチケットを提出して無料処理をしてもらわないと出られなくなります。
駐車場出口の所には係員がいませんから、そこで立ち往生すると後続の車からブーイングです。ご注意ください。
我が家は、ツアー参加後に近くのホエラーズビレッジで買い物をしてから駐車券処理をしたので、駐車料金も浮きました。

I participated in the early bird plan with a discount, thinking it would be great if I could see whales. Just as I expected, I was able to see whales right in front of me, and fortunately, there was a whale playing in the area for about an hour, so I got to see tail splashes multiple times. I was a bit worried about parking in Lahaina, but thanks to the early morning plan, I could park freely in a nearby public parking lot. After whale watching, I was able to stroll through the streets of Lahaina, so I feel like I made good use of my day.

早起きプランで割引もあり、これで鯨が見られるのなら最高と思い参加しました。
期待通りに鯨を目の前で見ることができ、幸運なのか１時間位そのあたりで遊んでいる鯨だったので、テイルスプラッシュも何度も見ることができました。
ラハイナは駐車場だけが少し心配だったのですが、早朝プランのおかげで近くのパブリックパーキングにも停め放題で、鯨ウォッチングの後、ラハイナの街並みを散歩することもできたので、一日を有効に使えた気がします。

Yamapi's quick and efficient guidance was absolutely fantastic. After various experiences in our family, this trip with three women is off to a great start. The donuts, which are not available in Japan, and the various spots on Haleakalā are highly recommended. The story that encouraged us to give it another try really touched my heart. I want to come back and participate again. Thank you to Yamapi and the other participants for the wonderful time. I'm looking forward to the next Hawaii Love event. I'm really glad I came! \(//∇//)\

山ピーさんの、迅速かつ無駄のないガイドがものすごく良かったです。うちも色々あった家庭で久々の三人女旅がこんな始まりが出来て幸先いい感じです。ドーナツも日本未発売から始まりハレアカ山の色々なスポットお薦めですね。最後のもう一度頑張ってみようとさせてくれるお話がまた心に染みました。また、来たい参加したいと思います。また、他の参加者さんを始め、山ピーさんお付き合いありがとうございました。またハワ恋楽しみにしてます。あえてよかったぁ

I booked a discount plan for an early morning departure. The hotel was close to the departure location, so I was able to walk there. I was able to see whales several times, of course!! The interior of the boat was spacious and very comfortable, it was the best. I definitely recommend whale watching when visiting Lahaina on Maui!! by Hicchan

The day we went it was very windy so we didn't get to Molokini but an alternate site -- they clearly wanted our trip to be enjoyable. The staff was upbeat and humorous. The snorkeling was great, much variety of fish and turtles did make an appearance.

Very friendly staff, and great views of a spectacular landscape.

I participated in the tour starting at 7:30. I read in someone's experience that we would receive drink tickets, but we did not get any. We were able to have coffee on the boat for $1. While it wasn't a constant stream, we were able to see quite a few whales and dolphins, which was great. I ended up sitting at the back on the second floor, but it would have been better to sit in the front for a clearer view, so that was a mistake.

7:30からのツアーに参加しました。
どなたかの体験談にドリンクチケットが貰えるとあったのですが自分たちはありませんでした。船上でコーヒーを$1で飲めました。
次から次とというわけではなかったですが、かなりコンスタントにクジラやイルカがみれて良かったです。
座席は2Fの後ろに陣取ってしまったのですが、前方の座席に座った方が見やすく失敗でした。

I returned home yesterday.
I participated in the OP starting at 7 AM.
I was able to see more than I expected.
The beautiful appearance from the back to the tail while diving and even the jumps.
I walked a bit to the parking lot, but I used the free parking and went shopping right after the OP.
What was disappointing was that only a few in my family understood English, so not everyone could grasp the explanations.

Also, during boarding, they took group photos, which are sold for $20 along with a CD containing pictures of the whales.

昨日帰国しました。
朝7時からのOPに参加しました。
思ったより見れましたよ。
潜るときの背から尾までのきれいな姿やジャンプまで。
駐車場は少し歩きましたが無料駐車場を利用し、OP後にそのまま買い物しました。
残念だったのは家族の内、英語を理解できるのが一部しかいなかったため全員が説明を理解できなかったことかな。

あと、乗船時にグループごとに写真撮影してくれて、クジラの写真が入ったCDと一緒に20ドルで販売されます。
心の準備を！

The sunrise was beautiful as expected...but, Ron, the driver
is an absolute hoot! He is mild mannered and a very safe
driver. Be sure to dress warmly, the cold is almost unbearable.
I would go again if I was assured Ron would be the driver.

The scenery was beautiful! Our tour guide was a local who shared her knowledge of the flora and fauna. The hike is not difficult but can be challenging in places. Wear good shoes! The waterfalls were spectacular and their pools provided a welcomed opportunity to oool off.
