Everyone should take this tour. Although it is open to the public, the guides provide you with a wealth of knowledge you may not get otherwise. They also know of secluded waterfalls, so you can actually enjoy them. Dylan was an amazing guide and truly expanded our knowledge! It kept our interest the entire time.

This was the best thing we did in Hawaii!! Very comfortable van. Wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgable about all sites and history of the island. Spaced out the ride so that we were never crowded by other tourist. And the picnic luch was just about the best meal we had on the whole trip. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!!

Definitely do the Snuba! We was so many turtles at the second dive site. The first site was great for getting used to Snuba and seeing some interesting fish. One of the kids from the family on board with us saw a shark even!
There were so many turtles at the "cleaning stations" for the second dive site. They were popping up to breathe near the boat before we even got in the water! We got underwater cameras on the boat as well. The diver guiding us through the snuba snapped some closeup pictures of the turtles for us! Such a great experience!
The crew was fantastic. It was a smaller boat, so it wasn't like a cattle call getting on and off the boat. The captain even went out of his way on the way back so that we could see some whales! We got to see 6 whales total on the trip! Great experience! Great crews! I couldn't recommend this particular tour enough. Tremendous value for the money and a crew that was so much fun!

We were staying at the Royal Lahaina, so we got to hear another Luau on another night... It was a little different than the Luau we attended, which I think is nice because it makes it a unique experience!
The food was great. I highly recommend getting the "speed pass" for an additional $15 at the door and arriving early to get the best seats! It's well worth the additional money :-)

The meeting place was a bit hard to find, but once we did, it was worth it. It took a while to spot a whale, but once we found one, we were able to stay close to it for about 10 to 20 minutes. As we got more comfortable, the whale even approached the boat, allowing us to see it up close.

This was one of my and my husbands favorite things we did our first time out to Hawaii. We were thrilled we were in whale infested waters and it was super cool to have the whales literally swimming under us, as we saw and heard them. It was awesome one whale swam right under our guide (Griff) who got amazing photos of the whole experience!
Would definitely do this again during whale season! Snorkeling to see the green sea turtles was amazing too. And all by getting a little exercise, rowing. Nice!
Thanks Griff and South Pacific Kayak!

I didn't expect to see so many whales. I was worried about seasickness, so I opted for a whale watching tour on a relatively large boat. I imagined that on a big boat tour, I would see the whales from a distance, so I was amazed to see them up close! I was filled with surprise and emotion. Although the announcements were in English, there was a Japanese staff member who was very considerate and attentive. I highly recommend this tour.

On a clear day, I departed from Lahaina Harbor and participated in a whale watching tour. Due to regulations, we couldn't get within 100 feet of the whales, so we didn't encounter any big dives like you see in photos, but we were able to see quite a few. While you can see the whales from land as well, I think this tour is very reasonably priced for what you get:
- Guided by a Japanese-speaking guide
- Includes drinks and snacks
- Over 2-hour cruise

This excursion was worth the money spent. My new husband had never snorkeled before so it was nice to have an experienced guide teach us how to do it. The Kayaking portion was nice and good exercise while we got to go out further than we would have without the kayaks. The guide, Steve, knew tremendous amounts about the area, ocean, animal life and more. He was helpful and funny throughout the entire experience. It was great to see turtles in and out of the water, an octopus, urchins, as well as schools of fish. Small group, us and a family, which the made the experience that much more intimate and special.

Kayaking is a great way to observe different snorkeling sites. Lots of friendly sea turtles and was able to hear the songs of the humpback whales. Would have liked to see more varieties of fish. For a kayaker used to a 1-person boat, the 2-person kayak was more limiting. Our guide provided a lot of information about the sea life in the area. It was very informational. Overall a good day.

This was the first thing my husband and I did on our first trip to Maui--we did it the first full day we were there, and that turned out to be best because we were sort of awake to catch our 2:15 am tour bus (we are from the east coast, and were very early risers the whole trip)
Our guide was very knowledgable about the volcano and surrounding area, and took us on a very nice tour. he even slowed and pointed out a pair of nene for us. On the downside, there were some spots we would have liked to spend more time, but this can't be helped with an organized tour. On our next trip, we'd likely do this on our own, but its smart to take the tour your first time.

I enjoyed the sail to Molokini on the Four Winds. It was a one-hour sail to the crater, however in that short timespan, I started feeling the effects of the water motion. This was partly due to the fact that we had spent 25 minutes listening to the snuba instructor's instructional briefing, which kept us focused on him, inside the boat. By not keeping our eyes on the horizon during that time, we started feeling queazy earlier than expected.
The snuba itself was fun, although I had difficulty sinking down to the bottom despite the weights. I guess my technique needs improvement. The water was beautiful and warm, and the fish were fun to see.
Both breakfast and lunch were provided on the catamaran. Breakfast was served at 7:30 am, when the boat departed the harbour, and lunch was served at 10:00 am upon arrival at Molikini. It was a little odd to have hamburgers and hot dogs served at that time, and we weren't really hungry due to the queasiness, so we didn't eat. Luckily, I had br

BRING WINTER CLOTHES (if you think to book it before traveling) otherwise buy sweaters or a jacket or blankets or all of the above...the 3x suggestion of warm clothing on your "to bring" list is not kidding - i wore 4 sweaters and was just comfortable - pants, scarves, gloves a must!!!

We booked this dinner cruise as a way to begin our Maui vacation after spending the day at grandparents memorial celebrating their lives & love of the island. There was a very unfortunate mix up with table seating that was a little awkward when we were asked to change tables in the middle of dinner. Server was to busy or distracted while serving desert & failed to serve some of the guests, leaving the desert tray on an empty table. Guests wondered if they should serve themselves.
Music was superb with a terrific variety of appropriate dinner & dance music. For us the music made the night !!
We would definitely suggest "a" sunset dinner cruise but would not feel comfortable mentioning the name of this one.
