I chose a day that seemed to have good weather in advance and made a reservation, so I was able to see the best sunset and starry sky. I prepared for the cold, but the guide was very kind, so I wasn't cold at all. The sandwiches that were served along the way were tastier than I expected. The stories about constellations, the observatory, and when Mauna Loa erupted were very interesting. The guide was very gentlemanly and friendly, which was great. Thank you.

I was picked up near the hotel and went to Haleiwa Town on the North Shore via Dole Plantation. The guide's stories were very enjoyable! I learned a lot about Hawaii's history. Had an absolute great time. It was a nice day outside, the water was calm. The staff was very nice, greeting, helpful with questions. The food was good, the buffet I couldn't complain. The chicken and roast beef were top notch as well as the salads and desserts. The entertainment was fun, learned out to do some Polynesian dancing on board and the dancers were really good and crowd uplifting. I would do it again. Cruise was about 2-3 hours on the water. Definitely good views of the sunset for photo taking.
Price should be maybe 20-25 dollars lower for cost.
I enjoyed a bus trip of about three hours, starting from the Royal Hawaiian Center at 9:30 AM on the East Oahu Scenic Line, which operates twice a day. There were stops of about 15 minutes at tourist spots like Hanauma Bay and Halona Blowhole, giving us plenty of time for photos and restroom breaks. The bus also stops at Kahala Mall, so you can shop before transferring to the Kahala Line for your return trip. Meals are not included, but it was an affordable half-day tour.

I participated in the farm tour on Friday. I wished I could have stayed a little longer at Haleakalā. Those who lined up at the shop right when it opened at sunrise were able to buy items, but those who took their time to watch the sunrise couldn't make a purchase before departure time. I also wanted to visit the Haleakalā Observatory.

There are a lot of circle tours to choose from, we picked this one to see turtles and have lunch at the food trucks on the North Shore. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable and gave us as much or as little time at each stop as we wanted. Even our teen and pre-teen loved it, which is a huge endorsement! We all liked that it was a small group. The guide's microphone wasn't working at various points which was disappointing since we couldn't hear in back. This was a great way to spend our first full day on the island, it was a really good experience.

18 of our group of 24 went on this excursion. A few things- SAM was absolutely fantastic! So much knowledge- loved it! The fruit stand was awesome, the macadamia nuts stop was great, we were able to get great souvenirs at the best prices, treats, coffee- delish, bathrooms were clean and staff provided an excellent experience. We did the Waterfalls (definitely recommend) in the morning and had lunch at the cafe/bar there. Everything we ordered was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Then we did kayaking, SUP and some exploring aka shopping and tastes of local foods, LOL. So glad to have taken this excursion. Sam even had ice in the cooler.
Check the weather and dress for your day! Bring a change of clothes and a towel. Enjoy!

Bus was half hour late. Received email half hour before our pick up time moving our pick up to a different location which created confusion for about 11 of us waiting to be picked up at original pick up site- our hotel! Very frustrating with no apologies. Very poor.
This is very first time for us to enjoy such beautiful sunset especially stargazing we have never seen before. I will strongly recommend Maui All Stars to my friends.
Our guide, Koki, did a fabulous job with the Sunset photos for each of us at the summit and also a great job getting everyone's photo with the stars. He was an excellent driver and went slowly on the bumpy gravel part of the drive.
Because Koki's Japanese dialect is not something most English speaking people understand, he needs to speak more slowly and distinctly. I had a great deal of trouble understanding him - seems like I could only catch 4 out of every 10 words, and that is not something I expected on this tour. Granted, out of the 10 people, there were 2 Japanese men and Koki spent a lot of time on the way home speaking only to them in Japanese.
So, I had very mixed feelings about this tour. I come to Hawaii at least a couple times a year and I would definitely ask more questions about the guide and his speaking and understanding ability before I take my nest tour.
The tour was very informative and lots of scenery to take in. When they say to layer for the top of Haleakala, take the suggestion. It was very cold at just short of 10,000 feet when the sun starts going down. It was a beautiful end to the day. A definite must for your bucket list.
Overall is very good. The lobster is very tasty, the steak is great, the view to the fire work is amazing, the crews are super friendly, the dance performance is fantastic. We enjoyed the dance at the end with a lot of laughs & funs together. Highly recommended.
