This battleship was actually used until about 30 years ago. You can see photos of the actual attack sites of the Japanese kamikaze, as well as images of the water burials conducted by American soldiers, and the surrender documents of Japan from World War II. Additionally, free Japanese tours can be booked on the ship on the day of your visit.

It's amazing that you can drive up to a height comparable to Mount Fuji. The sunset viewed from there, along with the sea of clouds changing colors as the sun sets, was wonderful. As a couple in our 60s, we were grateful for the easy ascent to the summit of Haleakalā, which made us feel like we really got our money's worth. The stargazing was also fantastic. I have participated in stargazing tours in Hawaii multiple times in the past, but this was the first time we each had our own chair, which was very comfortable (I usually end up standing and looking up at the stars, which always makes my neck hurt). Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, provided explanations that were very clear and enjoyable. We will definitely come again!

車で富士山並みの高さまで登れるのは最高です。そこから見る夕日と夕日に染まり刻々と色が変わる雲海は素晴らしかったです。60代夫婦としては、労せず富士山並みの高さのハレアカラ登頂は有難く、とても得した気分になりました。星空観測もバッチリでした。過去にハワイで星空観測ツアーに複数回行きましたが、一人一つのチェアが用意されていたのは初めてで、とても楽ちんでした（いつも首が痛くなる感じで立って星を見上げていたので）。ガイドの山内さんの説明はとてもわかりやすく楽しかったです。また、行きます！

You can't enter the cave, but they will take you close to the entrance. On the boat, and of course in front of the cave, they provide wonderful performances and hula dancing. It was pleasant to enjoy the sightseeing boat while being blown by a refreshing breeze.

洞窟の中に入る事は出来ないのですが、入り口近くまでは連れて行ってくださいます。
船内もモチロン、洞窟前でも、素敵な演奏とフラを見せてくださいます。爽やかな風に吹かれながら、観光ボート、気持ちよかったです。

It was a bus that went to the Ala Moana Shopping Center from various hotels, and it turned out to be a bit of a sightseeing tour as well. Since it was a bus that you could ride if you had a JCB card, I would have preferred a different bus.

いろんなホテルによってアラモアナショッピングセンターに行くバスでしたが、ちょっとした観光にもなりました♪。ＪＣＢカードを持っていれば乗れたバスでしたので違うバスが良かったです。

The guide spoke English and did their best to communicate while translating in broken phrases. It was reassuring that jackets and oxygen tanks were available at all times. Meals and water were provided at my own timing, and I could eat and drink in the vehicle during transit, which was better than I expected in terms of taste. The travel time is long, but we stopped at shooting spots along the way, so it wasn't boring. The scenery is wonderful, but depending on the brightness of the moon, it can be difficult to see the stars, so checking the lunar calendar and adjusting the schedule would be best.

英語ガイドでしたが、翻訳しながらカタコトで頑張って伝えてくださりました。
ジャケットや酸素ボンベはいつでも利用できるので、安心できました。
食事や水も自分のタイミングでもらえて、移動中の車内でも飲食可で、期待していたよりも美味しかったので良かったです。
移動時間は長いですが、撮影スポットで止まりながら向かうので、飽きませんでした。
景色は素晴らしいですが、月の明るさによっては星が見えづらくなるので、月齢カレンダーでチェックして日程調整できるとベストです。

I participated at the beginning of September, and it was indeed very cold at the summit. I'm glad I brought a lightweight down jacket and disposable hand warmers. Since it was half a moon, there were fewer visible stars than I had expected, which was disappointing.

9月初めに参加しましたが、やはり頂上はとても寒く、薄手のダウンジャケットや使い捨てカイロ等を持参して良かったです。
半月だったので思っていたより、見える星が少なかったのが残念でした。

The lobster for dinner was thick and tasted just like Japanese crab, it was truly delicious! The final jazz live performance was also moving. It was a great experience to overlook Waikiki and see the fireworks, I'm glad I participated!

ディナーのロブスターが肉厚で味が日本のカニのようで本当に美味しかったです！
最後のジャズライブにもじーんとしました。
ワイキキを一望して花火が見られたのもいい経験で、参加してよかったです！

It was a nice way to experience the Wailau River. The crew was great and entertaining.

The pickup was on time, and during the ride, they shared various stories about Hawaii's history and buildings. Before I knew it, we arrived at the Dole Plantation. After we arrived, they also guided us to the ticket booth for the train, which was very helpful! The scenery of the North Shore was amazing too! Thank you very much!

It was my first time going to Hawaii, so I joined a tour! Thanks to a guide who was fluent in Japanese, I was able to enjoy everything from the classic spots to the more niche ones!

ハワイに行くのは初めてだったので、ツアーに参加しました！王道なところからマニアックなところまで、日本語が上手なガイドさんのおかげで楽しむことができました！

Among the many tours available, I chose this one because it focuses on two locations and ends early in the afternoon, which was very appealing. In the end, it was a great decision.

Our driver, Lola, was very friendly and provided various information during the ride. She spoke very clear English, so even those who are not familiar with the language can participate without any issues. She also clearly communicated the return times to the bus, which was reassuring.

Before heading to the Dole Plantation, we had a sightseeing stop in downtown and visited the King Kamehameha statue. During the ride, we were offered malasadas from Kamehameha Bakery and water, which were delicious.

We arrived at Dole before it opened, and Lola accompanied us to the ticket booth. We were the first to ride the Pineapple Express train.

Additionally, since Royal Star Hawaii was the organizer, they informed us that by showing our tour guest sticker, we could get one free topping for the pineapple ice and a 25% discount on shopping at the Dole Plantation, which was a great deal.

Later, on the North Shore, Lola recommended some great shops, and I really appreciated her generous service.

During our trip, the bus stopped at Haleiwa Town Center, making it very convenient to visit places like Surf & Sea, Alii Beach Park, and Camaron Shrimp Truck.

On the way back, she continued to provide sightseeing information and safely drove us back to our hotel. The tour ended around 3:00 PM, so we were able to enjoy it without getting tired.

盛りだくさんのツアーがあるなかで、このツアーは2か所に絞って午後の早い時間に終わるのが魅力で申し込みました。結果、大正解でした。
ドライバーさんのローラさん(Lola）はとてもフレンドリーで車内で色々と案内してくれました。また、とても聞き取りやすい英語を話してくださるので英語が不慣れな方でも参加問題ありません。バスに戻りの時間もはっきりと教えてくれるので、安心できます。
ドール園に向かう前に、ダウンタウン観光やカメハメハ大王像での降りての観光がありました。車中では「カメハメハ・ベーカリー」マラサダとお水を提供してくれ、美味しくいただきました。
ドールでは開園前に到着しチケット売り場までローラさんが付いてきてくださいました。そして一番にパイナップルトレインに乗ることができました。
また、ロイヤルスター観光が主催者だったのですが、ツアー客のステッカーを提示するとパイナップルアイスのトッピングがどれでも一つ無料になる事やドール園でのお買い物が25％オフになることを教えてくれたのでとてもお得になりました。
その後のノースショアではお勧めのお店を紹介してくれたりとサービス精神豊富なローラさんに感謝です。
私たちの時はバスをハレイワタウンセンターに停めたので、サーフ＆シー、アリイ・ビーチパーク、Camaron Shrimp Truckなどの行くのにとても便利でした。
帰りも車中から観光案内してくださり、安全運転でホテルまで送ってもらいました。ツアー終了後でも15：00ぐらいでしたので、疲れることなく楽しめました。

There were several groups of Japanese people, so we were also provided with a guide in Japanese! The guide was very kind, and I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind! I was completely satisfied with the view from the summit, the sunset, and the night sky!

I initially thought about going with a four-wheeler, but the kids said it would be boring since they couldn't drive themselves, so we chose this instead. It was my first time on an e-bike, and I was worried, but there was practice at the beginning, and my middle school and upper elementary school daughters had no problems. The guide was a really nice person, and his explanations were interesting with jokes mixed in. He took a lot of great photos at the photo spots. It was late August in the afternoon, and I was concerned about the heat, but there were many clouds that day, so it was fine.

最初は四輪バギーにしようと思っていたのですが、子供たちが自分で運転できないのはつまらないというので、こちらにしました。Eバイクは初めてなので心配でしたが、最初に練習もあり、中学生と小学校高学年の娘でも問題なかったです。
ガイドさんがとてもいい人で、解説もジョークを交えて面白かったし、フォトスポットでは映える写真をたくさん撮ってくれました。
8月下旬の午後で、暑さが心配でしたが、当日は雲が多くて大丈夫でした。

We enjoyed a perfect sunset and stargazing was cold, but worth it. The tour guide and driver were very good, professional and enthusiastic.

I participated in a tour that gathered at 10:55. After about 45 minutes of riding in the van, we finally arrived at the much-anticipated Haleiwa. It was bustling at this time. My family joined the mini tour, and we were able to take photos at the famous Haleiwa sign that we absolutely wanted to see, as well as see several sea turtles peeking their heads out near the spot known as Oya Rock (laughs). There were coffee tastings, and despite being a mini tour, it was packed with activities.

The driver was very knowledgeable, and I am grateful for all the things I learned. After the mini tour, we had plenty of time to shop and have lunch at the stores we wanted to visit in Haleiwa. I think this local tour is highly recommended for those who want to take their time at one location.

10時55分集合のツアーに参加しました。バンに乗って揺られること約45分で念願のハレイワに到着。この時間なので賑わっていました。ミニツアーに家族で参加。絶対に見たかった有名なハレイワ看板で写真も撮れて、海亀が何匹も頭を覗かせている近くの通称大谷岩（笑）やコーヒーの試飲等とにかくミニツアーなのに盛りだくさん。
ドライバーの方も知識が豊富で色々勉強させて頂き感謝です。ミニツアー終わってからハレイワで行きたいお店での買い物や昼食もゆっくり出来ました。一箇所でゆっくり時間を取りたい方にはお勧めの現地ツアーだと思います。

The first time, the tour was canceled due to rare bad weather. I made a comeback two days later. The sunset sinking into the sea of clouds was stunning. By chance, there was also an eruption at Kilauea, and I was able to see the phenomenon of the sky turning red above the sea of clouds, which made me very satisfied. Next time, I will go on a sunrise tour.

1回目は滅多にない悪天候により、ツアー中止。再度、2日後にリベンジしました。雲海に沈む夕陽。偶然、キラウエアの噴火もあり、雲海の上に赤く染まる現象も見えて、大満足でした。次回は日の出ツアーにいきます

The tour at Kualoa Ranch was amazing! The views were absolutely breathtaking, everything was very well organized, and the guide shared lots of interesting stories that made the experience even more special. Definitely worth it!

I was very satisfied! The weather was great, and I was able to fully enjoy both the sunset and stargazing. The guide was very skilled at storytelling, which further enhanced my satisfaction with this tour. I'm really glad I participated!

P.S. Following your advice, I kept an eye on the volcano's live camera, and I was able to see the impressive lava flow during today's eruption. Thank you very much.

Last time on the North Shore tour, we visited various places and had a packed schedule with no time to spare, so this time I participated in the shuttle service and mini tour. The driver was Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

We went to North Shore Beach early in the morning and saw many sea turtles. Since we arrived at the opening time for shave ice and huli huli chicken, we didn't have to wait in line too long.

We also visited food trucks and did some shopping while participating in the mini tour. It was a very fulfilling experience.

前回のノースショアツアーは、色々な場所へ行き、予定詰め詰めで時間がなかったので、今回は送迎とミニツアーに参加しました。ドライバーは日本人の方で安心できました。
朝早くからノースショアビーチに行き、ウミガメが沢山見えました。
シェイブアイス、フリフリチキンも開店時間に行ったので、そんなに並ばななかったです。
フードトラック、買い物もして、ミニツアーに参加しました。
とても充実できました。

The good: Black Sand Beach and Volcanoes National Park are as good as they can be. Halema'uma'u Crater is amazing.

The average: The Coffee Farm we visited is a small one. We saw the coffee plants, but didn't see much about how the coffee is produced as the machines are taken apart and stored. Food is ok-ish, lunch is fast-food bento, dinner is at a small restaurant.

The unfortunate: We didn't see any star due to the cloudy weather. If you want to do stargazing, join a stargazing group as they will have better planning and equipment.

Since all participants were Japanese, the guide was in Japanese. In addition to Mauna Kea and the starry sky, they also explained about the Big Island during the drive there. I was worried about getting altitude sickness, but the guide asked about my condition and gave advice like taking deep breaths, which made me feel at ease. It got chilly as the sun set, but they lent me a down coat. I was really glad to have participated, as I was able to fully enjoy both the sunset and the starry sky!

参加者が日本人のみだったため、すべて日本語でのガイドでした。マウナケアや星空だけでなく、行きの車の中ではハワイ島についても説明してくれました。
高山病になってしまうのではと不安でしたが、ガイドさんが体調について聞いてくれたり、深呼吸をすると良いなどアドバイスもしてくれたため、安心できました。
夕陽が沈むにつれて冷え込みましたが、ダウンコートを貸していただけました。
サンセットも星空もじっくりとみることができたので、本当に参加して良かったです！

Experience the awe of Mauna Kea, which is taller than Mount Fuji. You too can feel the emotion of gradually transitioning from sunset to twilight and becoming one with the starry sky. The cocoa that stands out against the cold sky is delicious. The guide's explanations and everyone's faces were flushed with excitement. It was a great experience, but if possible, the seats in the vehicle could be a bit more spacious. Having headrests would also be a nice addition.

富士山より高いマウナケアで体感する感動を貴方もどうぞ。
夕日から徐々に薄暗くなり星空と一体になる感動を貴方にも。
寒空に映えるココアは美味しいぞ。
ガイド説明も皆の顔も紅潮。
良かった体験なのですが、出来れば車内の座席はもう少しゆったりと。

It was a long-awaited Segway experience in Hawaii. I had a fun ride while enjoying the wonderful views at Ala Moana Park along the coast. They even made a movie summarizing the experience, which became a great memory!

海沿いのアラモアナパークで素晴らしい景色を楽しみながら、楽しいライドでした。
体験をまとめたムービーまで作成いただき、とてもいい思い出になりました！

I took the shuttle bus from the Sheraton Hotel. The seats were unreserved and the air conditioning was quite strong. When we got off the bus, only the Japanese participants were called and given an explanation of the itinerary in Japanese. The tour itself was explained only in English, but the atmosphere was enjoyable.

シェラトンホテルから送迎バスで向かいました。車内は自由席でエアコンは冷房強め。
バスを降りると日本人だけ呼ばれて日本語で行程などの説明があります。ツアー自体は英語の説明のみでしたが、雰囲気は楽しかったです。

Sunset and Stargazing was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We were taken to the top of Halakela to see the amazing views, then due to the crowds we went a little lower to a secluded viewing area, chairs were provided, snacks and tea. Watched a amazing sunset, were provided Jackets as it gets cold after the sunset. Stargazing was unreal! Two powerful Telescopes were used, saw stars and the craters of the moon like never have. It was a memory of a lifetime.

I wasn't confident about driving to the summit of Mauna Kea, so I decided to join a tour. In hindsight, it was a great decision!

They picked us up from Waikoloa, and after a break at the visitor center for altitude acclimatization, we made our way to the summit of Mauna Kea. With the guide's explanations, I was able to deepen my understanding of the history of the Big Island and important points about Mauna Kea.

Although the summit was quite crowded, we found a recommended spot by the guide and enjoyed the sunset without anyone obstructing our view. During the stargazing afterward, we were able to look at the moon through a telescope while sipping hot cocoa, and the guide explained the constellations. It was a packed experience, and I was very satisfied!

They also provided equipment for altitude sickness, such as warm clothing and oxygen masks, so I recommend the tour for anyone who has even a slight concern. The sandwiches they provided as a light snack were surprisingly delicious!

マウナケア山頂までの運転に自信がなかったのでツアーを利用しました。
結果、大正解でした！

ワイコロアからピックアップしていただき、途中ビジターセンターで高所順応を兼ねた休憩から、マウナケア山頂まで、ガイドの方の説明で、ハワイ島の歴史やマウナケアの注意点など理解を深めることができました。

山頂はかなり人が多かったですが、ガイドの方のおすすめスポットに陣取り、誰にも視界を邪魔されずに日の入りを楽しむことができました。
その後の天体観測でも、ホットココアを飲みながら望遠鏡で月を見せていただいたり、星座を解説していただいたりなど、盛りだくさんの内容で大満足です！

防寒着や酸素マスクなど、高山病に備えた機材も準備されているので、少しでも不安がある方はツアーがおすすめです。
軽食で用意されていたサンドイッチも期待していなかったのですが非常に美味しかったです笑

The sunset spreading over the sea of clouds was truly breathtaking. While gazing at the sky changing colors moment by moment, I felt a precious sense of the Earth's vastness. The starry sky I saw afterward was also incredibly beautiful, a completely different world from the night sky I'm used to, and the experience of clearly seeing the Milky Way will surely become a lifelong memory.

It got quite chilly near the summit, but I was able to borrow warm clothing, allowing me to enjoy the experience outside until the end. I believe joining the tour was the right choice, and I was able to fully appreciate the charm of Mauna Kea.

雲海の上に広がる夕焼けはまさに圧巻でした。刻々と色が変わる空を眺めながら、地球の大きさを感じられる貴重な時間でした。その後に見た満天の星空も、本当に息をのむ美しさ。普段見慣れた夜空とはまるで別世界で、天の川がはっきり見える体験は一生の思い出になりそうです。
頂上付近はかなり冷え込みましたが、防寒具を貸してもらえたので最後まで外でゆっくり堪能できました。ツアーで参加して正解だったと思いますし、マウナケア山の魅力を存分に味わえました。

At 63 years old, I tried a Segway for the first time! They really took the time to teach me how to use it properly. After learning how to use it, we practiced thoroughly at the facility before heading out for a short tour. At Ala Moana Park, they provided plenty of explanations about the plants, history, and even added some humor. On the way back, I was given recommendations for many reasonably priced and delicious restaurants. It was truly a fun attraction!

63歳にして、初セグウェイ！！
最初に使い方を本当に丁寧に教えてくれます。
一通り使い方を教わった後、施設でしっかり練習してからの、ショートツーリングって感じです。アラモアナパークでは、植物やら歴史やらユーモアーたっぷりに説明してくれます。
また、帰りにはリーズナブルで美味しいレストランを、沢山ら教わりました。
本当に楽しいアトラクションでした。

On the day of the trip, it was very foggy, and we waited a bit to see if we could make it to the summit, but we were able to get the ranger's permission and enjoyed a wonderful sunset and starry sky. It was 32% after the new moon, but there were no issues with stargazing. Our guide, Shotaro, was very kind and spoke Japanese well; he was perfect in every way. Any worries about altitude sickness disappeared, and it was the best time. The sandwiches we had at the summit were incredibly delicious!

当日は霧が濃く、頂上まで行けるか様子を見ながら少し待機しましたが、無事にレンジャー許可がおり、素晴らしい夕陽と星空を観ることが出来ました。
新月後32%でしたが、星空観測には問題ありませんでした。
ガイドのショウタロウはとても親切で日本語も上手、すべてにおいて完璧。
高山病の不安も吹き飛び、最高の時間でした。
山頂で食べるサンドウィッチも美味しすぎ～。

The tour guide shared various interesting facts, and it was so much fun. The sunset and stars were more beautiful than anything I've ever seen, and it became a wonderful memory.
