Hawaii
Spectacular scenery, blue sky, eighty degrees. What more could you ask? Even a 1 hour hold-up in Waimanolo couldn,t spoil my day.
The Five Star Cruise was a wonderful way to watch the Friday fireworks. The staff were great and the food was superb. It was well worth opting for the 5 star option. A must when you are on holiday, especially on the extended Friday cruise.
I previously visited Honolulu from the UK almost 18 years ago. The improvements made at the Visitor Centre have been money well spent. Although I enjoyed the City tour I did think it was a little rushed.
An enjoyable lazy trip down the river to a beautiful waterfall. Great Hawaiian entertainment too. Need to give the dancers more room to dance.
My husband and I were doing our 1 year anniversary during this trip. The crazy early hour was insane but well worth it. It was beautiful watching the sun rise as someone sang a native song. Our tour guide was amazing always had some new fact or funny story to say. He had us laughing quite a bit. Especially his jokes that would catch us off guard through the drive. "Men are from Mars women are from Visa" still makes me giggle. Now my husband is telling that to everyone! The breakfast was good at a local golf course. I'd go again only for our driver I think he was the best part of the entire tour. He was worth every penny. A great tour guide makes all the difference. Thank you!
We are both very experienced travellers who have attended many many tours all over the world, but in my opinion, this tour was the best! Both Amy and Zook were tremendious tour guides who really knew their stuff. It was great having the jeep as it was only my partner and I on the tour. We visited iconic filming locations all over the island. Then we met 'Duke' who was the most genuine person I have probably ever met. It was an honor to meet him and a real highlight of the tour. Then... Amy took us to where they were filming that day!!! What an experience! We got to stand and watch them film for nearly 45 mins! Amy went above and beyond to give us the best Hawaii Five O experience and overall the tour was just amazing!! Cant wait to come back again and go on the Super Fan tour!
I applied for the deluxe course on behalf of my parents, who are over 60.
As for the meals, while they were considered deluxe from a Japanese palate perspective, they were a bit lacking. However, they had a lot of fun riding canoes, and the bus guide shared various stories along the way. They were very active during the day, so they thought they might be too tired to stay awake for the show, but the fire dance was so impressive that it woke them up! They mentioned it with a laugh.
The fern grotto is a piece of Hawaiian history. Originally the site of a huge waterfall, before the river was diverted for irrigation, and originally the site of hundreds of ferns, before being battered by cyclones, this place is not what it once was.
It would have been a very impressive tourist attraction in the early 1900s but unfortunately ferns need water to grow and as it is with the river not going through here this place will never be as impressive and at the moment the tourist operators are trying to flog a dead horse.
Unless they divert the river back through here and let the ferns regenerate I would not recommend it. Time to put this activity out to pasture!
This was a truly awesome experience. We had Sam as a driver and he was totally great. He navigated traffic well and all of his narrating was necessary, funny and enjoyable.
We had a slight problem in that we missed our pick up (oops!) but the company was helpful and told us where to go to get another pick up.
We did some bike riding in the morning, saw Pipeline and had a great time. In the afternoon we tried SUP and saw turtles! It was a fully awesome experience. So good getting out and SEEING the North Shore, not just taking pictures of it.
Great time! A must do if you visit Hawaii. Chief Cielu is hilarious and the dancers are amazing!
I was not particularly excited about this excursion because the fern grotto is all dried up and you can't go in anymore. However the entertainment was great. I dont think they could have made the excursion better with all the story telling, music and dancing. It was alot more than i expected and it was a great start to the luau we saw after!
Sunset, starry night sky!! It was an amazing tour. If you go to the Big Island, this is definitely a place you should visit, and it's better to go on a tour rather than individually. However, the cold was quite unusual.
Thank you very much for participating in our tour.
The sunset and starry sky from the summit of Mauna Kea are truly beautiful; I am moved every time I see them.
We also provide jackets, ski pants, hats, and gloves, but we encourage all our customers to take precautions against the cold.
Please come back to the Big Island again.
All of our staff are sincerely looking forward to your visit.
Thank you.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I are die-hard Hawaii 5-0 fans and had so much fun on this tour. Our tour guide Amy was extremely knowledgeable of the island and the show itself. One of the main checkpoints that we wanted to see was McGarrett's house and right off the bat she got us over there to see the picture perfect house that is so often shown on TV. In addition to that we got to tour the inside of the house and meet the wonderful owners who allowed us in and were extremely welcoming.
Among the other highlights of the tour that we enjoyed were seeing Kona and Chin Ho's house, and multiple scene locations from across the first couple seasons. Although we were unable to meet any of the characters Amy tried her hardest to get us to them and the extra effort was greatly appreciated.
Besides the locations that we saw, Amy's knowledge of the show itself gave us further insight to the characters and how the show operates on a day to day basis.
We would recommend this tour to anyone who loves the show and wants to get a better understanding of how the show and the island are connected.
This tour is a must if you are a true Hawaii Five-O fan! Our tour guide Amy was amazing to say the least. She had 1st hand information on the production and actors and actresses along with film locations. I think that's what made the tour so special that we had a guide who knew so much about the show...not just a person who researched the show online or watched it on tv and can drive you around to various locations but someone who can tell you about the show as someone who interacts with the people on the show and the producers. She was just so sweet with my niece who is 8 years old, my sister who is 22, and my husband. Before taking the tour I did some research to see where we might go and #1 on my list was Steve McGarrett's house. Who doesn't love seeing it come up in the show with the beach in front and who doesn't want to sit in those Adirondack type chairs and just sip a glass of wine after a hard day at work. Well...we went to McGarrett's house and met the real home owners who were just the sweetest people in the world. They welcomed us in and treated us just like we were family. In fact they even said "a hui hou" as we left..until we meet again. At each site we watched a film clip of a scene at that location to remind us of what happened there if we didn't immediately realize it. We also saw Chin Ho Kelly's house and Kono's house. Along with that was a drive by of Dano's ex-wife and daughters house...which is currently up for rent. Any takers? We visited McGarrett's father's cemetery site where he met Ellie recently. Of course I had to mention how much I love Michelle Borth and want her and McGarrett to end up together. She's just so kick butt but loving at the same time. We are already planning another trip out in September and can't wait to do the Sunset on the Beach!! Definitely take this tour as a fan. It will not disappoint. PS next time I want McGarrett to drive our Jeep! :)
Driver was fantastic. Got us in early which worked out as the tours were shut due to wind after ours. Had a lot to show us around town as well.
So we got up at 2am to get ready to get our bus. We took the bus up the mountain. We arrived and stepped off the bus to like 40 degrees!! 40 degrees in Hawaii? Yes when you are 10,000 feet up!! Duh!! Forgot my jacket but bought some souvenir sweatshirts in the visitor center :) so remember your jacket.
We stood and watched the sunrise and it was worth being cold for an hour. What an experience. Will do it again for sure!
This truly was the best tour ever. Had a little bit of confusion as to where the bus was going to pick us up, but a quick call to customer service cleared everything up.
Can't say enough about Ernal, our tour guide. Super friendly, knowledgeable and over all great guy. During our tour he was teaching us Hawaiian words and very interesting facts about Hawaii. His stories were funny and kept us to schedule.
You really should do this tour!
The Cruise Is On A River Not IN THE Ocean FOR Anyone Worried About attire. It is very laid back atmosphere so any clothes are appropriate. The staff where authentic and made you welcome. I combined with smith laaui.
This was one of the best tour at Maui. The tour is very informative with respect to the history of pineapple in Hawaii. The guide provided us so much of information and was very good. The tour includes trip to the Maui Gold pine apple processing plant and also to the place where pineapple are actually grown. We got to taste the great Maui gold pineapples and also got to take one home for each one of us. The tour begins at a place which is so cool, got some wonderful pictures at this place.
Overall, it was a tour beyond my expectation. My kids loved it . My son who does not like pineapple started eating pineapple after this tour.
It is a tour which should NOT be missed when you are at Maui
This was one of the tour which brought in pleasant surprise . The tour guide Steve was very courteous and started the tour on time. We got to see the Maui Gold factory where they are processed and packed. Free pineapple for each participant was awesome ! Then the guide took us to the farm where the pineapple are actually grown . The farm is so beautiful, we got a chance to look at pineapple in various stages . The guide,Steve, helped us taste pineapple and showed us 3 different varieties of them . On the way back we learnt many things about pineapple and sugar cane .
I would recommend this tour for everyone , specially for the group with children.
My wife and I came to the luau with our 4 children ages 18, 16, 14, and 8. We all enjoyed the activities before the meal. The food was great and lots of it. And the entertainment was informative, interesting, and very lively. If you have never done it, I recommend doing it at least once. I would go back for the food alone!
Went this morning, had such a wonderful time. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and kept the pace moving. Far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Mark and Anthony for the amazing trip! Will be recommending this excursion to family visiting the island in the future.
There was no wind, and we were able to see a beautiful sunset, but unfortunately, the stargazing was disappointing due to high clouds. However, I was impressed by the staff's dedication. I will recommend this to others as well.
Thank you very much for participating in our tour.
We take great pride in the quality of our guides. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our guide's service.
It's truly unfortunate about the starry sky. We hope you will come back to Hawaii Island for a second chance.
All of our staff are looking forward to welcoming you again.
Thank you.

There are many optional tours to Dole, but this tour had a sufficient time of 75 minutes at Dole, which made me hopeful since I have a 3-year-old child and thought we could take our time on the train. However, we were put on the same tour as the horseback riding group, which shortened our time at Dole to 50 minutes. By the time we got on the train, we only had 10 minutes left. After buying ice cream, we barely made it back to the car, leaving no time for a stroll or to look at souvenirs. To make matters worse, we had to wait for the horseback riders to return, resulting in only 3 hours at Haleiwa. The guide kindly took us for a 20-minute drive, but isn't this terrible considering we paid for it? I feel like I would have preferred another optional tour instead. Also, even though we were charged for one child's fare, the bus seat was on my lap. I felt like I lost out.
On the positive side, the guide, Mr. S, was excellent. He was knowledgeable about plants and incorporated current events while explaining the scenery and buildings visible from the bus. He quickly found and spoke to participants and waited in an easy-to-find spot, showcasing his wonderful personality. When I inquired about a forgotten item on the bus, he promptly delivered it to me. Given how fantastic the guide was, it was very disappointing regarding the time management.
Thank you for using our services.
However, we sincerely apologize that the tour did not meet your expectations.
Upon checking with the operating company, we learned that due to traffic congestion on the day of the tour, adjustments to the schedule had to be made. We apologize for not providing proper guidance.
We will strive to improve in the future, so thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I had been many dinner cruises in Chicago, Portland and New Orleans, But this was the best one !!! so far.
First time & confused couples must try this !!
I participated alone as a woman. I originally signed up for a Japanese tour, but it was canceled due to not having enough participants, so I quickly switched to this tour at the last minute. (Kauai Island has many tourists from the mainland United States and Canada, and I hardly met any Japanese people during my stay.)
On the day of the tour, all the other participants were from English-speaking countries, mostly older couples and friends. Naturally, everything in the vehicle was in English, and the female guide (who was also the driver) shared enjoyable stories about the scenery and plants visible from the car windows, as well as the history of Kauai Island, sometimes mixing in jokes. I think bringing a guidebook or map would enhance understanding and enjoyment. The ride was comfortable enough that I almost dozed off.
After picking up all the participants, we passed through the charming old town and took a 15-minute restroom break at a souvenir shop run by Japanese Americans before setting off! Along the way, we saw a sugar cane train on the right and enjoyed the townscape as the car gradually made its way into the mountains.
We arrived at Waimea Canyon! The sight of the green and red earth mountains spread out before us was spectacular! The air was also clear, making me feel refreshed. (However, I found the 30 minutes of free time here a bit too long; 20 minutes would have been sufficient.)
Next, we visited the Kauai Coffee Shop. The shop, filled with the fragrant aroma of coffee, had a souvenir corner, café, and tasting area, and I wished we could have spent more than 15 minutes there.
Then we had lunchtime (40 minutes) at a restaurant located within a golf course. The open design allowed us to enjoy lunch while feeling the blue sky, sunshine, and refreshing breeze, which was very pleasant. The menu mainly featured hamburgers and sandwiches, and according to the guide, the "coconut cream pie" is delicious. However, since we were a large group, if you don’t order quickly, the food takes a while to arrive. I only had 10 minutes to eat and ended up leaving half of my meal… (crying)
Next, we stopped by the blowhole at Poipu (15 minutes), and the car headed towards Wailua. After visiting Opaekaa Falls, we went on a Wailua River cruise to the Fern Grotto. We passed by people kayaking while we traveled up the river on a sightseeing boat. After disembarking at the dock and walking a bit through the jungle, we heard singing from deep in the forest. We were welcomed by a live Hawaiian music performance as we arrived at the Fern Grotto! It felt like a private space in the woods, and we enjoyed a performance by musicians and dancers along with a small ceremony, all wrapped in a mystical atmosphere. The performance continued on the return boat ride, culminating in a lively finale.
This tour is packed with highlights, so I especially recommend it for those visiting Kauai Island for the first time or those who do not have a rental car.
We were out in Honolulu on our first trip to Hawaii. My girlfriend and I purchased the Small Group Circle Island, Waipio Valley & Volcanoes National Park out of quite a few similar guided tours around the Big island. It was a fun experience that helped us learn quite a lot about the Big Island, geographic facts, ancient legends, etc. This drive is about 10 hours or so and is on and off the beaten path. Different from Honolulu and Oahu, this mostly rural island has its own culture, farmers’ markets, tropical rain forests, and black, green, and white sand beaches. Our tour guide was awesome (and I totally forgot his name) and a great story teller. He was punctual in picking us up from the Kona airport. Although the weather didn't really cooperate that particular day, it was rain and cold, our tour guide made it fun with providing us all kinds of great information as well as a really smooth ride. It was obvious he loves what he does and where he lives. The sights and landscapes were incredible - black, green and white sand beaches, lava fields, waterfalls, etc. Our approximately 250 miles tour (long but fascinating) touched at first the Parker Ranch in Waimea the bay-side town of Hilo and an orchid nursery. We stopped at the Waipio Valley Lookout, a must see location. The lookout offers sweeping views of the valley, which is breathtakingly beautiful even though the weather was very cloudy and it probably took away from the experience. We stopped at the Mauna Loa a macadamia farm and packaging place for lunch and snacks. We stopped at the Rainbow Falls very close to Hilo. It is a shorter visit with great photo ops. An absolutely fabulous view and yes, we did see a rainbow. At the Volcano National Park we saw smoke but no lava flows from the viewing area but walked through a lava tube. The black sand beach is one that is different to anything else we saw so far. We counted 12 turtles resting on the beach. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this guided tour.
I booked a hotel transfer in Waikiki. When I arrived on-site, there were instructions for horseback riding posted in Japanese. Everything else was in English, but the guide at the front provided basic directions like "right" and "left" in broken English. They use horses that have retired from polo, and they were very well-trained and beautiful. The course included muddy areas, steep slopes, and scenery that could only be accessed on horseback, which was quite magical. In the latter part of the ride, I was able to have my picture taken on the horse against a beautiful backdrop of the ocean with my own camera. (There was no pressure to buy photos!!)
Had a great day especially enjoyed the visit to Steve Mcgarrett's house thanks again to the owners for their hospitality.
On time pick up and drop off, great friendly driver(Patrick) well done, very organised trip great value. Recommended.
