I went to Hawaii for my first overseas trip. I was torn between Guam and Hawaii, but I decided to go to Hawaii since I was looking forward to enjoying my summer vacation. The day before, I did a little snorkeling in the heavenly sea, but snorkeling at Hanauma Bay was a completely different kind of fun. Seeing the round, intricate Hanauma Bay, I was moved by the clarity of the water and the beauty of the coral before even getting in. After watching a video about the birth of Hanauma Bay and its ecosystem, I realized it is a place that is carefully protected.

Up close, the sea was truly transparent, and it was an emerald green that you can't see in Japan. As soon as I got in, there were lots of corals and many fish. Thanks to the veteran guide, I felt a sense of security and was able to see a sea turtle, which is not something you can easily encounter. Because of the guide, we were able to visit snorkeling spots that were just on the edge, as well as areas with exceptional clarity that are far from the beach and hard to reach, and I was really satisfied. I believe I will never forget the clarity and beauty of that sea after snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. It was truly a great experience, so if anyone around me is going to Hawaii, I definitely want to recommend snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. Thank you very much.

初めての海外旅行でハワイに行きました。グアムかハワイか迷いましたが、どうせいくなら、ハワイに行こうと決め、夏休みを楽しみにしていました。前日に、天国の海で少しシュノーケルをしましたが、ハナウマ湾でのシュノーケルは全く違う楽しさがありました。丸く入り組んだハナウマ湾を見て 、海の透明感やサンゴの綺麗さに海に入るまえに感動しました。ハナウマ湾誕生の話や生態系のビデオを見て、大切に護られている場所なんだと実感しました。
近くで見ると、ほんとに海が透き通っていて、日本では見ることのできないエメラルドグリーンの海でした。入ってすぐに珊瑚がたくさんあり、お魚も、たくさんいました。ベテランガイドさんならではの、綺麗なスポットや、安心感もあり、なかなか見ることの出来ないウミガメも二回みることができました。ガイドさんがいたからこそ、ギリギリのシュノーケルスポットや、珊瑚のギリギリのところ、浜辺から遠くてなかなか行くことが出来ない、透明感が抜群のところにも行き、ほんとに満足しました。ハナウマ湾でシュノーケルができて、一生あの海の透明感と綺麗さは忘れることはないと思いました。本当にいい経験が出来たので、周りにハワイに行く人がいたら、ハナウマ湾でのシュノーケルを是非勧めたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

This time, I participated in this tour because the sea in Heaven was not at low tide. I joined with a light heart, and I'm really glad I did. First of all, the instructors, a couple, were very kind and attentive. Although I had some snorkeling experience, it had been a while, so having the explanation in Japanese was a great help. If you're not confident in English, I highly recommend this! They stay with you throughout the snorkeling, so I think even children can enjoy it. The tour is only available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but if you have the chance, you should definitely participate. They provide everything except for swimwear, and there's also a pick-up service to the hotel. It's okay even if you're not confident in snorkeling or can't swim! It was a pity that I didn't encounter any sea turtles (I snorkeled in the afternoon, but I heard there were turtles in the morning), but that's just luck... Instead, there were plenty of fish, and I swam for nearly an hour without getting bored. You might get tired occasionally, but if you do, you can return to the beach early and take a nap while resting. After snorkeling, we relaxed a bit while eating snacks, which was also very nice! Please give it a try!! I also want to challenge myself again to see a sea turtle when I come back to Hawaii. I'm truly grateful to the instructors.

今回、天国の海が干潮ではないためこちらのツアーに参加しました。軽い気持ちで参加したのですが、参加して本当良かったです。まずインストラクターの御夫婦が本当優しく丁寧でシュノーケリングの経験はあったものの久しぶりだったので説明が日本語だったのが助かりました。英語に自信がない方は是非！！またシュノーケリングの間も常に一緒にいて導いてくれるのでお子様でも楽しめると思います。ツアーは月水木金しか参加が出来ませんが機会があれば是非参加して欲しいツアーです。ツアーは水着着用以外、すべて準備してくれます、またホテルまで送迎がついています。シュノーケリングに自信がない方、泳げない方でも大丈夫です！！ウミガメに遭遇出来なかったのが残念でしたが（私は午後にシュノーケリングしたのですが、午前はウミガメはいたとのこと）これは運なので・・・そのかわり、魚が一杯いて一時間近く泳いだのですが飽きなかったです。たまに疲れますが、疲れた方は先に浜辺に帰って休みながら昼寝も出来ます。シュノーケリングの後はお菓子を食べながら、少しゆっくりします。それもとても良かったです！是非参加してみてください！！私もまたハワイに来たらウミガメに会える様、再チャレンジしたいと思います。インストラクターの御夫婦には本当感謝しております。

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Great tour!! Our guide Kelly was awesome. He felt a little embarrassed when he wiped out in the mud, but what a great time. A definite must do in Kauai.

On my first trip to Hawaii, I decided to join a tour because it was difficult to travel far on my own. Even though the hotel I stayed at was quite local, they came to pick me up at the front desk. Both Chieko, who came to pick me up, and Dan, the guide, were very kind. Dan speaks fluent Japanese, so I think even those who don't understand English can participate with peace of mind. During the round trip, they shared various recommendations for delicious restaurants and information about the towns we passed through. They also provided information about the places we planned to visit the next day, which was very helpful.

After arriving at Hanauma Bay, we matched our fins and masks. They had a lot of sizes available, so I could use one that fit me well. They also took care of our valuables, and each person was lent a mat. The scenery at Hanauma Bay was stunning, and I was already moved before even entering the water. The underwater view was also very beautiful. A friend who joined me was snorkeling for the first time, but the guide was always there to support us, so we were able to enjoy it. We swam quite a bit while searching for sea turtles, and my friend was a bit tired, but was very impressed when they finally saw a sea turtle. After coming out of the water, there was even a service with snacks and water. It was truly fun. We were picked up at noon and could return by evening, so there was time for dinner and shopping afterward, making it a great option for those with a short stay.

There are many pigeons on the sandy beach of Hanauma Bay, but be careful! If you feed even one snack, they will gather around and perch on your arms, leaving you scratched up!

初めてのハワイ旅行で、個人で遠くまでの移動が大変だったので参加して見ました。泊まっていたホテルが、かなりローカルホテルだったのにホテルのフロントまで迎えにきてもらえました。迎えに来てくれたちえこさんも、ガイドのダンさんもとても親切でした。ダンさんは、日本語ペラペラなので、英語が解らない人でも安心して参加できると思います。送迎の往復では、美味しいオススメのお店や通る町などについて色々教えて頂けました。翌日に訪れる予定の場所の情報なども教えて頂けました。とても役にたちました。ハナウマ湾に到着後にフィンやマスクを合わせます。サイズも沢山持ってきてくれているので自分にあったものを使えました。貴重品なども預かって貰えるし、一人に一つゴザを貸して貰えます。ハナウマ湾は、とにかく景色が綺麗で海に入る前から感動しっぱなしでした。海の中もとても綺麗でした。一緒に参加した友人が、シュノーケル初めてでしたが、ずっとガイドさんがフォローしてくれていたので、楽しめることが出来ました。ウミガメを探すのに結構泳ぎ、友人は少し疲れてましたが、初めて見たウミガメにとても感動していました。海からあがるとお菓子とお水のサービスまでありました。本当に楽しかったです。お昼にピックアップで夕方には帰って来れるので、帰ってからディナーや買い物に行く時間もあるので、短い滞在のかたにもオススメです。
ハナウマ湾の砂浜には沢山鳩がいますが、お菓子を一つでもあげてしまうと沢山集まってきて腕などにとまり傷だらけになるのでご注意！

There were quite a few participants, so since the car was a bit cramped, they kindly suggested, "How about the front seat?" and I was able to sit in the front without hesitation. The organizer and driver had worked in Japan, so they guided us to the location in simple English and Japanese. The staff also responded in easy-to-understand English, and everyone was very kind, so I think even those who can't speak any English can participate with peace of mind.

The beach had a powdery sand feel, which was very pleasant, and it really made me feel like I was in Hawaii. However, as a snorkeling spot, it might be a bit lacking. In the afternoon, I rented a bicycle and explored Kailua Town. I went into supermarkets and used bookstores, allowing me to experience Hawaiian culture in ways not found in guidebooks. On the way back, they also stopped at a scenic spot for us to take photos.

While there wasn't anything particularly thrilling, it was a plan that allowed for a leisurely swim at the beach, strolling around town, and enjoying a relaxed drive along the way. I think adding such a plan in between more exciting tours can provide a nice balance.

結構な参加者さんがいたので、車が少し狭かった為、「助手席にどう？」と声をかけてくれたので、遠慮なく助手席に乗せてもらいました。主催者兼運転手さんは日本で仕事をしていたこともあり、簡単な英語と日本語でガイドをしながら現地まで連れていってくれました。スタッフの方も解りやすい英語で答えてくれたり、とても親切な方ばかりですので、全く英語が話せないという方も安心して参加できると思います。ビーチの方は、パウダーサンドみたいな感じでとても気持ちよく、ハワイに来たなーという気分を十分に味わえますが、シュノーケリングスポットとしては、ちょっと物足りないかなと。午後は自転車をレンタルしてカイルアタウンを散策しました。スーパーとか古本屋さんにも入って、ハワイの生活文化に触れられたりと、ガイドブックにはない楽しみ方も出来ます。また、帰りの道中にも絶景スポットで車を停めてくれて、写真を撮ったりしました。特に「これ、スゲーー！」ということはなく、あくまでのんびりビーチで泳いだり、プラプラ街を散策したり、道中のんびりドライブを楽しむことが出来るプランですが、刺激的なツアーの合間にこういうプランを入れると、良いエッセンスになると思います。

Really fun, the experience was great and the workers were very knowledgeable in their ability to do their job so it was very reassuring. I did 300 ft line but probably would go a little higher but 300ft alone was a great experience and you're able to see the coast of waikiki

We participated as a family of three. We took a boat out to sea, and from there, we started parasailing. There were three groups on the boat, including us. We were the first to fly, and since two of us were going together, I thought I would be alone, but surprisingly, we ended up flying together as a group of three. Since there were three of us, the balance was a bit off, and we had to hold onto the rope. However, flying at 180 meters was high, and it was thrilling with amazing views, so it was great. In the end, we were dropped into the sea a little, but that became a memorable experience. We'll definitely do it again next time.

家族3人で参加。沖合までボートで行き、そこからパラの開始。ボートには私たちを含めて3組。一発目から私たち家族が飛ぶことになり、二人で飛ぶんだから、私は一人だなと思ってたらなんと、3人で飛ぶことに。3人だからバランスが悪く、ロープ持ってました。でも１８０M は高かったけど、スリル満点、景色最高でよかったですよ。最後海に少し落とされましたけど、それも思い出になりました。次回もします。

Six groups, including us, experienced parasailing. Among them, there was one other Japanese group besides us.

The jet took all six groups out to sea. Then, one by one, they pulled up the parachute with the jet. If you go first, you will be on the jet for the duration until the remaining five groups finish. If you go last, you will have to wait for all five groups to finish. Either way, the time spent on the jet remains the same.

The waiting time can be a bit tough, but when you are actually experiencing it, you are enveloped in your own world, quietly enjoying the moment. It was a lot of fun!

In addition to the application fee, I paid $30 for DSLR photography and $20 for tips.

私たちを含め、6組がパラセイリングを体験しました。そのうち日本人は私たちともう一組でした。
6組を乗せ、ジェットは沖へ。
そして順番にジェットで引っ張る形でパラシュートを上げていきます。
一番はじめに体験すればその後はずっと残り5組が終わるまでジェットに揺られます。
一番さいごに体験すれば5組をずっと待ち続けることになります。
どちらにせよジェットに揺られる長さは変わりません。笑
待ち時間は少しきついものがありますが、実際に体験しているときは音も無く静かに自分たちの世界で包まれます。
とても楽しかったです！

申し込み費用とは別に、一眼レフ撮影に30ドル。チップに20ドル払いました。

After checking in, I was lent a rash guard and received a brief lecture on the beach about my position on the board, how to stand up, and how to use the paddle, before heading straight into the ocean for practice. At first, I was a bit stiff and hesitant to stand up from my knees due to fear, but once I managed to stand, it wasn't as scary anymore. However, when the board rocked with the waves, I braced my feet and lost my balance, falling into the sea! In a panic, I clung to the board and somehow managed to get back on it, but I realized I had let go of the paddle, which was floating about 2 meters away from me.

I was so far away from the instructor and my family that I couldn't even hear them, and I was at a loss without being able to retrieve the paddle. Fortunately, a photographer (who was also on a board and taking pictures nearby) noticed my situation and came back to help me get the paddle, which saved the day. Thank you very much!

When the board rocked with the waves, I learned to keep my knees soft instead of bracing my feet, allowing my whole body to absorb the movement, which helped me avoid falling.

I spent about an hour and a half going back and forth in a relatively calm area from in front of the Royal Hawaiian to near the Moana Surfrider, and just as I was starting to have fun, it was time to finish. For my first experience, it was quite enjoyable. The instructor spoke only in English.

受付後ラッシュガードを貸してもらい、砂浜で簡単なレクチャー（ボードの上の立ち位置、立ち上がり方、パドルの使い方）を受けた後、すぐに海へ入り実践です。最初は恐怖心から膝立ちから立ち上がるまでがぎこちなかったのですが、一度立ち上がってしまえばそれほど怖くなくなります。しかし波でボードが揺れる際に足を踏ん張ってしまったため、体のバランスを崩し海へ落下！無我夢中でボードにしがみつき、なんとかボードの上に上がることが出来ましたが、気が付くとパドルを手放してしまっていて、２Mほど離れたところで浮いているではありませんか。
インストラクターと家族とは声も届かないくらい離れてしまっていて、パドルを取ることも出来ないまま、途方に暮れていましたら、カメラマンの方（自身もボードに乗り近くで写真を撮ってくれる方）がその様子に気づいて、パドルを取りにそばまで戻ってきてくださり、事なきを得ました。ありがとうございました。
ボードが波で揺れた時は、足を踏ん張らずに膝を柔らかくして、身体全体で揺れを吸収するようにしましたら、落ちることも無くなりました。
１時間半ほどロイヤルハワイアンの前から隣のモアナサーフライダーの前の辺りまでの、割と穏やかな場所を何周かして、ようやく楽しくなってきたころに終了。初めてにしては十分楽しく事が出来ました。
インストラクターの方は英語のみでした。

This was our first charter fishing trip both of us had ever taken. It was an unforgettable one at that. Captain Tony and Kelly were excellent guides and shared so much knowledge about both fishing and Hawaii in general. Both Captain Tony and Kelly warned us typically spring time is when fishing is best and summer time is a bit slower,but sometimes the fish surprised them. We ended up catching a Mahi Mahi and another gentleman caught a small tuna. Both catches were very exciting! Captain Tony helped guide us as the fish was being reeled in and most importantly making sure we were safe. If we ever make it back to Hawaii we will most definitely go fishing with them again but make it a full day fishing trip. Even if we had not caught fish it was nice to sit back and relax out on the Pacific.

We participated as a family of four. The seat is for three people, but we started in pairs. In no time, we were up in the sky! We had a great view of Waikiki Beach, and it became a wonderful memory.

家族４人で参加しました。シートは３人乗りですが２人づつスタート。あっという間に大空へっ！ワイキキビーチも一望でき大変良い思い出になりました。

It was easier to stand up than I thought. It had more buoyancy and was more stable than a longboard. It was a bit challenging to avoid swimmers and others doing stand-up paddleboarding, but I also got to see a HONU (turtle), which was fun.

思ったより簡単に立てました。ロングボードより浮力があり、安定していました。
泳いでいる人や、他のスタンドアップパドルをやっている人を避けるのかちょっと大変だったけど、HONU（かめ）も見られて、楽しかった。

Got sort of lost looking for the place. We thought we were looking for a building but it's actually a white van. Other than that the crew was great. We had Thomas and another man (sorry forgot his name) but they were understanding and helpful. Our family and friends loved it. It was the highlight of my trip. Can't wait to come back one day to Kauai.

This was my second trip to Hawaii with my friend. We were looking for activities to enjoy nature, and we came across this tour. Since it included hotel pickup, the meeting went smoothly. I thought it was considerate that they left a message on the hotel voicemail regarding time changes (although we didn't know how to check the voicemail and ended up waiting, haha).

Also, since the activity started in the afternoon, we were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before participating. It was my first time at Hanauma Bay, and I was amazed at how well the natural environment is preserved, and the sea was truly beautiful! We were fortunate with the weather, and the scenery was fantastic.

Our guides, Dan and Chieko, were very kind and provided excellent instruction, following us closely even in the water. At the beach in Hanauma Bay, we encountered mongooses and crabs! Underwater, there were schools of fish, as well as colorful fish, and the most impressive sight was the sea turtles. We were able to get very close to a sea turtle swimming gracefully. (Note: Touching sea turtles is prohibited in Hawaii.)

They provided snorkeling sets and mats for our belongings, and after the activity, there were drinks and snacks available. You can also leave a few valuables with them. They upload the photos taken underwater to Facebook, so you can download them.

It was so much fun that I will definitely participate again! Next time, I would love to try diving as well!

女子2人旅でハワイは2回目。自然を満喫できるアクティビティを探していたところ、このツアーに出会いました。
泊まっているホテルピックアップだったので待ち合わせもスムーズに行えました。時間の変更も、ホテルの留守電に入れてくれていたので丁寧だと思います。(私たちは留守電の聞き方がわからなかったので待ちぼうけしましたが笑)
また、お昼からのアクティビティだったのでゆっくり朝食を済ませてから参加しました。
ハナウマ湾は初めて行きましたが、自然が大切に保護されていて何より海が本当にきれい‼︎天候にも恵まれて景色も最高でした。
ガイドのダンさん＆ちえこさんもとても優しく指導してくださり、海の中でもバッチリフォローしてくれました。
ハナウマ湾のビーチではマングースやカニに出会えます‼︎海の中では魚の群れはもちろん、色とりどりの魚たち、そして一番感動したのはウミガメ。優雅に泳ぐウミガメのすぐそばまで近づくことが出来ました。(注:ハワイではウミガメに触れることは禁止されています)
シュノーケルセット、荷物置き用のゴザを貸してもらえますし、終了後には飲み物とお菓子のサービスもありました。貴重品も少しなら預けることができます。

とっても楽しかったのでまた絶対参加しまーす！

It was a lot of fun and good for beginners, as I and my husband were. Turned out that snorkeling is very easy! "Just be the turtle!"

This tour was the highlight of our trip. My 13 year old son and I had an awesome time. Our tour guide Amos was very knowledgeable, friendly, and my son talked about Amos and the hike the whole ride home. We will definitely do it again!

This was a great tour. Our tour guy, I believe his name is Sam was very helpful and funny. Sam was also very knowledgeable and he made the tour a memorable experience for us. We like the fact that we get to plan out our activities and get to see couple places at North Shore. The only suggestion that we think can improve for the tour is the activities in the afternoon. There wasn't a lot of options in the afternoon activities like in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed the tour very much.

The captain was a very nice person, and I received various services that I can't write about here. The children also seemed very happy. It was a great experience.

I used this service for my first trip to Hawaii. Although there were no staff members who spoke Japanese, both the shuttle staff and the onboard staff were friendly and welcomed us warmly. There was also a Japanese manual before boarding the boat, which made me feel at ease for the departure. During parasailing, they kept the atmosphere lively, and I was very satisfied and had a great time. However, the only disappointing thing was that the car finally arrived 15 minutes past the initial pickup time. Since I was anxious being in a foreign country, I think it would be reassuring if they could somehow improve that aspect, and I would feel comfortable using the service again.

初めてのハワイ旅行で利用させていただきました。
日本語を話せるスタッフさんはいませんでしたが、送迎スタッフ、船上スタッフ共に愛想が良くてとても暖かく迎えてくれました。
ボートに乗る前に日本語のマニュアルもあったので安心して出発でき、
パラセーリング中も盛り上げてくれてとても大満足で楽しむことができたのですが、ただ一つだけ残念なのは、最初のピックアップ時間を15分過ぎてようやく車が来たことです。
外国で不安なのでそこだけどーにかしてくれると安心してまた利用できると思います

About 7 to 8 years ago, I participated in surfing lessons here. It was my first time, but I managed to ride the waves a few times and had so much fun that I decided to join again. This time, I successfully rode all the waves! Yay! The staff were incredibly helpful, and I realized once again that this school is the best. They give you a little push at the moment you catch the wave, which makes you feel like you've really "caught it!" After that, all you need to do is stand up calmly, and you're good to go! Riding the waves was a success. Of course, paddling is tough, but my sister, who joined me, is also a woman in her late 40s. If you have the motivation, you can definitely do it, so I highly encourage everyone to give it a try. Surfing in Hawaii is the best memory for a trip!

By the way, I also tried surfing on the Gold Coast, but I couldn't ride a single wave. I wonder if the waves in Hawaii are better or if the staff are just that good, as it felt surprisingly easy to stand up.

I was a bit worried after seeing some comments saying the service was "neglected," thinking, "Was it really great 7 to 8 years ago but has changed?" However, that was not the case at all. The staff were truly amazing, encouraging me with wonderful smiles and providing strong support. Even when I was paddling hard but not making progress or couldn't go in the direction I wanted, they offered solid support.

In the end, I wanted to take a photo with the staff who took care of me the most, but I missed the chance, which was disappointing. They were busy cleaning up, and I felt bad interrupting them. It's impressive that they clean up after the lesson too; they are truly powerful staff! If I go to Hawaii again, I will definitely participate in the lessons. By then, I might be over 50... (laughs)

７～８年前にも、ここのサーフィンレッスンに参加しました。
その時初めてだったのですが、何度か波乗りに成功し楽しかったので、また参加しました。
今回は波乗り全部成功しましたよ。ヤッター！スタッフの方に大変助けてもらって、やはりここのスクールでなくっちゃと改めて思いました。波乗りの瞬間、ひと押し入れて下さるんですよ～。これで「乗った！」と実感できるので、あとは落ち着いて立てばＯＫ！波乗り成功です。もちろんパドルはしんどいですが、私も一緒に参加した妹も４０歳後半女性です。やる気があれば、がんばれますので是非是非皆さんも体験して下さい。「ハワイでサーフィン」なんて旅の思い出として最高です！
（ちなみにゴールドコーストでもサーフィンに挑戦しましたが１度も乗れませんでした。ハワイは波が良いのか、スタッフが良いのか不思議と簡単に立てます）

時々、書き込みで「放ったらかし」とあったので、「７～８年前は凄く良かったけど変わってしまったのかな？」と心配していましたが、全然そんなことなく、素敵な笑顔で励ましてくれたり、力強く助けて下さったり、本当に最高のスタッフでした。一生懸命パドルしてるけど力不足で進まない、行きたい方向に行けないなんて時にはしっかりサポートしてくれます。

最後に一番面倒を見てくれたスタッフと写真を撮りたかったのですが、取り損ねて残念。後片付けを一生懸命されてるので声をかけるのが申し訳なくて。あのレッスンの後に後片付けもなんて、本当にパワフルなスタッフです！
またハワイに行ったら、絶対レッスンに参加します。その時、私５０歳超えかもですが。。。（笑）

This trip was a total disappointment. Didn't see the inside of any caves. I don't mind exercising but the work this trip took was brutal. There were seven in our group and we all felt the same way about trip! Don't book this activity!

We went as a family of four. There were about six groups, including us, who boarded the boat and set off from the port to start parasailing in turn. It felt amazing and really got our spirits up! I highly recommend it! The instructions were only in English, but I managed to understand by watching the others. There isn't a designated place or time to change, so it's better to wear your swimsuit underneath when you go to the hotel. You can return even if you're wet.

It should say "come aboard our sailboat and let Mother Nature wave you around for exactly one hour and forty five minutes. ". It is a misleading ad as it says they have spared no cost in treating us to a lux cruise on board with Bose sound and large screen tv. Really? I think I may have heard a radio and who wants a tv anyway so why advertise it. They give you a drink ticket and when hmm husband ordered a Heineken she passed him some crappy off brand can. The Heineken was only available for purchase once you redeem your free ticket. The ad also talks about wildlife and don't really count on any. It is not a cruise to a specific place where there are known sea life. So, two stars one for the boat even tho the sail had a big rip in it and one star for the crew who showed us how to use a life jacket. The rest of it is the beautiful nature of the water which all of the scammers are taking advantage of as they steal tourists money.

I participated with my wife and middle school children. First of all, I was impressed by how clear the water was. From the boat heading to the snorkeling point, I could see the colors of the tropical fish close to the surface. Upon arriving at the point, we first experienced the underwater scooter. A little diving required pinching my nose to equalize, but after that, it was just a matter of turning the throttle on and off. The divers adjusted the direction and distance from the surface as needed, making it easy to operate. Being close to the surface and having the divers nearby made it reassuring to enjoy the underwater experience. We had a net with pieces of bread attached to the front of the scooter, which attracted the fish. I had done experience diving and snorkeling before, but this was the first time I was surrounded by fish so closely that my view was almost blocked. The diver signaled for us to look down, and when I did, I saw a large sea turtle leisurely resting on the seabed. After finishing with the scooter, we soon boarded a rubber boat and moved to a shallow point closer to the open sea. I thought it was better described as shallow rather than a sandbar. When I asked the guide, they said it was around the time between high and low tide, so the water was about knee-deep. The sand was beautiful, and the water above it sparkled, making just walking around enjoyable. It was my first time trying stand-up paddleboarding, and it was more challenging to balance while standing than I had expected. The two hours flew by. The pleasant breeze, clear water, many beautiful fish, and the sparkling sand in the shallow area created an extraordinary experience that still comes to mind when I close my eyes.

妻と中学生の子供たちと参加しました。まず、水がとても澄んでいて感動。スノーケルポイントに向かうボートから、水面に近づく熱帯魚たちの色がよく見えました。ポイントに着くと、最初に水中スクーターを体験。少し潜ったところで鼻をつまんでの耳抜きが必要でしたが、あとはアクセルのオンオフだけで、ダイバーの方々が進む方向や水面からの距離も都度調整してくれ簡単に操作できました。水面から近く、ダイバーの方が側にいてくれるので安心して水中を楽しめました。パンの切れ端の入ったネットをスクーターの前につけていて、魚達がそこを目指して集まってきます。体験ダイビングやスノーケルをやったことはありましたが、これほど、至近距離で、視界がふさがるくらい魚たちに囲まれたのは初めてでした。ダイバーの方が下を見てと合図してくれ、下を見ると大きなウミガメが海底にのんびり沈んでいました。スクーターを終え、しばらくすると、ボートからゴムボートに乗り込み、沖に近い遠浅のポイントに移動。サンドバーというより遠浅といったほうがいいかと思いました。ガイドさんに聞くと満潮と干潮の間くらいとのことで、水は膝くらいありました。砂がきれいで、その上の水がきらきらしていて歩いているだけで楽しかったです。スタンドアップパドルは初めてで、思っていた以上に立ってバランスをとるのが難しかったです。あっという間の２時間でした。心地いい風、透き通った水、たくさんのきれいな魚達、遠浅で見たきらきら輝く砂。目をつぶると今でも浮かぶ非日常体験でした。

This time I challenged myself to 150 meters!! The wind was weak on the ground, but there was quite a bit of wind at 150 meters up, and it was scary holding the camera while desperately gripping the safety belt (laughs). Also, I was surprisingly prone to motion sickness, so I recommend taking some anti-nausea medication before participating!

地上は風が弱かったのですが、150m上空はそれなりに風があってカメラ片手に乗っているのが怖いくらいで必死にベルトにつかまってました(笑)
あと意外に酔い易いので、酔い止めを飲んでからの参加がおススメです！

It was after a once-in-a-decade hurricane hit Hawaii, so I was worried about the strong winds and whether my 8-year-old could participate. However, the weather was great on the day of the event, and we were able to enjoy the wonderful scenery. My child was thrilled and said, "It was the best!" For $30, we got a lot of photos, which were given to us on an SD card right there. Since I can't take photos like that myself, it was a bit pricey, but I'm glad I asked for it.

１０年に１度のハリケーンがハワイにやってきた後だったので、風が強いかな～８歳の子ども、参加できるかな～と不安でしたが、当日は天気も良く、すばらしい景色を楽しむことができました。子どもも、「最高だった～！」と大喜びでした。３０ドルで写真をたくさん撮ってもらえて、その場でＳＤカードでもらえました。自分じゃ撮れないので、ちょっと高いけど、お願いして良かったです。

Last year and this year, I visited the Big Island of Hawaii for two consecutive years. Last year, I went to Volcano National Park, but this year I challenged myself with sea kayaking and snorkeling in Keauhou. It was just the two of us and our three elementary school children, and we were able to have a private party, which allowed us to fully enjoy at our own pace. The morning sky and sea were richer and more vivid than those in Japan, and the sea breeze felt amazing while kayaking. The sea caves themselves are a natural wonder, and while they are impressive, my actual impression was just okay. Additionally, getting there was a bit hard for our young children, but the sea kayaking itself was a lot of fun. We didn't see any honu (sea turtles) or dolphins while snorkeling, but the water was very clear and beautiful. Although I'm not a poor swimmer, I had three children with me (I was responsible for two), and since it was their first time snorkeling in the deep open sea, I decided to wear a life jacket just in case. However, the current was quite strong, making it difficult to swim, which ended up exhausting my already limited stamina. So, for those who can swim a bit, a life jacket might not be necessary. But the staff, Noni and Kevin, were very kind and friendly, which made the experience really great. Thank you, Noni and Kevin!

昨年、今年と2年連続でハワイ島に行きましたが、昨年はvolcano国立公園に行ったのですが、今年はケアウホウでシーカヤックとシュノーケリングにチャレンジしました。夫婦2人に小学生3人の私たちでしたが、私たちだけのpartyにしていただき、本当に自分たちのペースでフルにエンジョイできました。朝早くの空と海は日本のそれよりもそれぞれに濃く鮮烈で、カヤックの上で体感する海風は最高でした。海中洞窟自身は自然の産物でそれはそれなりにすごいものの、実際の感想はまあまあです。さらに、結構そこまで行くのが小学校低学年の子供連れにはいささかハード（父親50がきつかっただけか？）ではありましたが、シーカヤックそのものがすごく楽しかったです。シュノーケリンではホヌ（ウミガメ）やイルカには会えませんでしたが、透明度は高く、非常に美しいものでした。私自身は泳ぎは不得手ではないものの、子供が3人おり（私の担当は2人でしたが）、3人が完全な深い外海でのシュノーケリングは初めてだったので、もしものことを考えてライフジャケットを着用したのですが、結構海流が速いので抵抗が強く、かえって泳ぎにくく、その結果、結構もともと少ない体力を消耗させる結果となったので、すこしでも泳げる人はラフジャケットは不要かもしれません。でもスタッフのノニさんとケビンさんは非常に親切でやさしくfriendryであったので、とってもよかったです。ノニさん、ケビンさんありがとうございました。

I expected a stand up paddle board group lesson but ended up with a solo surf lesson and had a great time. Chris was a good instructor and got me out into the water and riding the waves in hardly any time at all. He was also close by and attentive to my safety and form. It was great fun and I plan on doing it again the next time I'm in Hawaii....

I had seen the catamaran at the beach for a while. Since I was traveling alone this time, I hesitated a bit, but I'm glad I participated! I had a great time!

There were no dolphins, but I encountered a honu! It was just floating around, and I was thrilled!

During the cruising, I wasn't exactly near the net, but I got pretty wet, haha. The weather was nice, so I dried off quickly and got a nice tan. I enjoyed cruising while sipping on a $5 Mai Tai. Next time, I’ll have fun splashing around near the net with my friends!

以前からビーチで見かけていたカタマラン。今回ひとり旅だったので
少し躊躇しましたが参加してよかった！楽しめました！

イルカはいなかったけど、ホヌに遭遇！普通にプカプカしていて感激！

クルージング中は、ネットのまわりにいたわけでもないけどかなり濡れます笑
天気がよかったのですぐ乾くしいい感じに日焼けできました。
５ドルのマイタイを飲みながらクルージングを楽しみました。
次回は友達とネット近くではしゃぐぞー！

The 120 meters was higher than I expected, and the strong winds made it very frightening. I thought it might have been too much for my 6-year-old daughter, and I considered canceling the parasailing we had booked for the backup day. However, despite being scared, she surprisingly enjoyed it the second time during our stay.

思った以上に120メートルは高く、強風にあおられとても恐怖でした。
6際の娘にはやはりコクだったかと思いましたが、予備の日で申し込んでいたパラセイリングは、辞めようかと思いましたが、娘は怖がっていた割には、滞在期間中、二度目はあっけらかんと楽しんでいました。
