We participated with our sixth-grade child and as a couple. I was a bit anxious since I had only kayaked a few times for fun before, but our guides, Kevin and Noni, taught us patiently. Unlike the kayaks I had used before, this one had excellent straight-line stability, allowing us to enjoy kayaking safely and comfortably. At the snorkeling point, they provided various explanations about the waters of the Big Island, which were very informative. Unlike the seas in Japan, the untouched nature here allowed us to observe various marine life when we carefully looked underwater. There was a slight current, but Kevin supported us from the kayak while Noni assisted us from the water, so we felt secure enjoying snorkeling even with our child. Thank you very much. Since it was my first time kayaking, the two-hour experience was just the right amount of time, and I feel encouraged to join a longer tour next time.

カヤックは以前に遊びで数回乗ったことあるだけで不安でしたが、
ガイドのケビンさんとノニさんに丁寧に教えていただきました。
以前に乗ったカヤックとは違い直進安定性が非常に高く、安全＆
快適にカヤックを楽しむことが出来ました。
シュノーケルポイントでは、ハワイ島の海についていろいろと説明
して頂き参考になりました。
日本の海とは違い、手付かずの自然が残っていて注意深く水中を
観察するといろいろな生物が確認できました。
若干の潮の流れはありますが、ガイドのケビンさんがカヤックの上から、
ノニさんが水中からサポートしてくれるので子連れでしたが安心して
シュノーケリングが楽しむことが出来ました。

初めてのカヤックだったので2時間の体験はちょうど良い時間で、
次回はもう少し長時間のツアーに参加してみようと思える内容でした。

Since I was staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, the departure port was very close and convenient, and the staff were very cheerful and kind, so even if you don't understand much English, you can still enjoy yourself! However, I was quite anxious because I couldn't confirm my reservation. I made a reservation for the 10 AM departure the next day through VELTRA in the evening. I thought I would receive a confirmation via the web or a call to my mobile, but there was no news even after 9 AM on the day of. In the end, when I checked with the organizing company, they said I would receive a call from VELTRA shortly. After 30 minutes without any contact, I called the organizing company again, asked for VELTRA's contact information, and confirmed with them. It turned out that the 10 AM slot was fully booked. The 11 AM and 12 PM slots were also full, so they said there was availability at 1 PM, which I reluctantly accepted. After hanging up, I received a call saying that the 1 PM slot was also fully booked and that it would be after 2 PM. I wanted the kids to experience parasailing, so I agreed to 2 PM, but it was all quite hectic and tiring. Even if the initial reservation was just a request, if the web shows availability, I would have preferred to be informed about the status much earlier. I wonder if this is an issue with VELTRA's booking system. I think it's better to avoid making next-day reservations whenever possible.

ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジに宿泊していたので、出発場所の港はすぐそばで便利でしたし、スタッフもとても陽気で親切でしたので英語があまりわからなくても十分楽しめます！
ただ、予約確認ができず非常に気をもみました。VELTRA経由で翌日の10時発の予約を入れたのが夕方。Web経由や携帯への確定連絡があると思ったのですが、当日の9時を過ぎても音沙汰なし。結局、主催会社に確認したら、VELTRAからすぐ電話があるとのこと。30分経っても連絡がないので、再度主催会社に電話して、VERTRAの連絡先を聞いて電話して確認。結局10時からの便は満席とのこと。11時、12時は満席なので13時なら空いているとのことで、渋々13時に変更して電話を切ったら、すぐに電話がかかってきてやっぱり13時も満席なので14時以降になるとのこと。パラセーリングを子供たちに体験させたかったので、14時で了承しましたが、なんだかばたばたで疲れました。そもそも最初の予約自体がリクエストだとしても、Webで予約可能状態ならば、可・不可に関してはもっと早く連絡がほしかった。VELTRAの手配システムの問題なんでしょうか。予約を取る際は、なるべく翌日予約は避けたほうがよいと思います。

We went parasailing as a group of four. At first, I thought we would ride in pairs, but it turned out that we needed to meet a weight requirement, so we all went up together to 150 meters. The 360-degree panorama of Waikiki is amazing. I felt like a bird. I definitely want to try it again next year.

４人でパラセーリングしました。最初は、２人ずつライディングさせて頂けると思いましたが結局、体重の重さが足りないと駄目ということになり、４人で一気に150メートルまで上げて
頂くことになりました。ワイキキの360度のパノラマは、最高です。鳥の気持ちになりました。また、来年、是非トライしたいと思いました。

We experienced this with a couple of elderly people, our daughter, and our granddaughter, making a group of four. The course is 110 meters long, but this refers to the length of the rope. Depending on the wind, the parasail can come close to directly above the boat, reaching nearly 110 meters in height; if it drifts, it won't reach that height. During our participation, there was a north wind, so when we returned from offshore to Waikiki, we went higher compared to the members on the way out. However, since it feels like you are "floating" in the air, I don't think you'll feel scared. Since Waikiki is on the southern coast, if you want your face to look good in photos, I recommend boarding when heading out to sea. On the way back, the lighting is somewhat backlit, so your face may appear darker in the pictures. The crew took about 40 photos for a fee of $30, and this price applies whether you are a group of two or four. What I don't understand is the "tip." On the boat, there was a note in Japanese stating that "the fee does not include tips," which I believe means they want tips from Japanese customers. In such services, I’m not sure how much to give, and I ended up giving more than I intended. Many Americans did not seem to give tips, but it would be helpful to know the standard.

年寄り夫婦に娘と孫娘の4人で体験しました。１１０ｍのコースですが、これはロープの長さで、パラセールが風の具合でボートの真上近くまでくればほぼ高さも１１０ｍで、ズレていればその高さにはたどり着かない。我々の参加時は北風だったので、沖からワイキキに戻る時に上がったので、行きのメンバーと比較すると高くまで上がりました。ただし、空中に「浮いている」感じなので、怖さは感じないと思います。ワイキキが南海岸なので、写真で顔映りを良くしようと思ったら、沖に出る時の搭乗をお勧めします。帰りだと逆光気味なので、顔が暗めに写ります。写真代はクルーが40枚ほど撮って30ドルで、2人でも4人でも1グループならその料金で対応してくれました。分からないのは「チップ」で、ボートには日本人向けに「料金にはチップ代は含まれていません」という様な事が日本語で書かれており、日本人からはチップを貰いたい、と言うことだと思われます。この様なサービスの場合、どの程度渡したものか分からず、ついついはずんでしまいました。アメリカ人らしい人達の多くは渡していませんでしたが、基準を教えてもらえるとありがたい。

Wasn't what I expected. It was pretty underwater but you don't maneuver the scooter yourself. It's not motorized or anything. The divers maneuver you by hand. But it was still a memorable experience.

Everyone except us spoke English!! In the bus and on the boat, it was filled with fast-paced English, and even the English I thought I could understand was completely incomprehensible, but I managed to go with the flow. Since we're all human, we somehow made it work.

With an upbeat energy that you don't find in Japan, let's fly!! She was screaming in fear and kept her eyes mostly closed, but that really got a laugh from everyone else. It was a fun adventure! It was 90 meters, but there was plenty of time, and I was completely satisfied. I recommend getting the photos (an additional $30). They ask if you want to take pictures just before you fly or if you need an SD card.

I said, "Sure!! So many pictures please!!" When I got back, there were 150 photos!! Amazing. There are some black spots in the images, possibly from sand or water droplets, but the quality is top-notch. When zoomed in, you could even see each hair on my shins (laughs).

I definitely want to participate again when I go back to Hawaii, but she says she doesn't want to do it anymore! (laughs) Since tips are not included, I gave $10 to the boat staff and $5 to the shuttle driver, but I wonder if that was too little. I was a bit broke and didn't have much cash on hand...

私たち以外は全員、英語！！という状況で、バス車内も船上も早口英語だらけで、ある程度わかるかと思っていた英語も、ちんぷんかんぷんでしたが、そこはノリで対応。同じ人間なので、なんとかなるもんです。
日本人には無いアゲアゲのテンションで、レッツフライ！！彼女は恐怖で叫びながら、ほぼ目を閉じていましたが、それも向こうの方には大ウケ。
楽しい冒険でした！90mでしたが、時間もたっぷりで十分満足できます。写真（別途30ドル）もお願いしたほうがいいです。飛ぶ直前に写真撮るか？SDカードいるか？みたいなことを聞かれます。
sure!!so meny picture please!!とか言ってみました。帰ってみると150枚！！スゲー。砂がついているのか、水滴が付いているのか、画像には黒い点なども入っていますが、画質は最高画質。ズームすると、スネ毛の一本一本も見えました（笑）
またハワイに行ったら絶対参加したいけど、彼女はもうやだ！と言っています（笑）
チップが含まれていないので、船のスタッフに10ドル、送迎手に5ドル渡したけど少なかったかな。貧乏だし、手持ちが少なかったから。。。

I participated in a honeymoon trip, and it was very enjoyable and created great memories. Even though it was 180 meters, there was no particular sense of fear, and the guide made a few jokes in Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

新婚旅行に参加しましたが、とても楽しくいい思い出になってます。180メートルといっても、きょうふかんも特になく、ガイドの方も少し日本語で冗談とかいってくれるので、安心しました。

It felt like we were abroad since everyone else was from another country. The weather was nice, and it was a very pleasant sailing experience. I think an hour and a half was just the right amount of time—not too short, not too long.

They were selling drinks for $5, and I wanted to have one, but I decided to skip it just in case I got seasick. The waves were minimal, so I might have been fine to drink. Next time, I’d like to try the sunset cruise.

私たち以外外国の方でしたので海外にいる気分になれました。天気がよくてとても気持ちのいいセーリングでした。1時間半でしたので短すぎず長すぎずよかったと思います。
お酒が5ドルで販売してたので飲みたかったですが、船酔いを心配して念のためやめておきました。揺れは少なかったので飲んでも大丈夫だったかも。今度はサンセットクルーズに参加してみたいですね。

Wow, what an experience! It's the only way to describe the feeling. Out of the choices we did 1000ft. Now it sounded pretty high but that's the only way to do it! Go big or go home! The views of the bay and diamond head were so awesome. The driver kills the engine a few times and it feels like a roller coaster ride. When you're in the air, it doesn't matter that you are so far in the sky and the boat looks so tiny. Such a rush! The guys are super cool and do offer to take pictures for you for a cost. It was like $30 for almost 200 pics. I had a waterproof camera and snapped some pics but not the same. Whatever floats your boat. Also remember that the longer the line, the longer the ride! And when you come back to the boat, you get dunked in the ocean, so refreshing! I was lucky to ride again with a single guy who was doing 300ft. Not even close to the same feeling when you're so much higher. I hope this review helps.

My wife and I had a great time. The crew was knowledgeable and fun, and they made sure that everyone had a good time. They also had a smaller group of people that they take out, so there really is a more intimate feeling to the trip.

I participated with a friend and their child, making a group of four. We couldn't speak Japanese, but we managed just fine with gestures. The parasailing was completely stable, and I didn't feel nauseous at all. I'm really glad I experienced the wonderful views from the sky!

友人親子と4人で参加。日本語は使えませんがジェスチャーで問題なくOKでした。パラセイリングは全く揺れず、酔うことはありませんでした。空からの素晴らしい景色は体験して本当に良かったです！

The kayak experience that my child was really looking forward to. I had communicated that we are not fluent in English. Of course, being with an 8-year-old child... While I couldn't understand the explanations in English, it wasn't our first experience, so we understood how to paddle and participated. After the explanations, we started paddling, but after just a few dozen meters, our family fell behind. A person who seemed to be the leader came close and asked in English (You have to paddle a long distance, but are you okay?). Since it wasn't my child's first experience, I thought we could manage as we got used to it, and I repeated the words (try, challenge) several times, but perhaps they wanted us to turn back, as they wouldn't let us proceed. We decided to turn back. Then, as if they had been waiting, the staff was there and said, (Oh, your stomach hurts, poor thing). It was my first time on the Big Island, and I regretted visiting with a Honolulu mindset. I felt deceived because such things were not mentioned in the tour description, which left me with an unpleasant feeling. After that, I asked them to call a taxi, but they said something like (I don't know). However, an Asian person who seemed to have lived in Japan helped us and called a taxi for us. (That was lucky.) I am truly grateful to that Asian person. Thank you very much. I have more to say, but I don't think all tours are like this, and I was able to meet kind locals. An 8-year-old might not be able to handle it. However, I was disappointed that they didn't inform us from the beginning.

とても子供が楽しみにしていたカヤック。英語が堪能ではない事は伝えていました。もちろん、８歳の子供と一緒という事も…英語での説明はわからないですが、初体験ではなかったのでカヤックの漕ぎ方等、理解して参加していました。説明も終わり頑張ろうという事で漕ぎ始めて数十メートル漕いだ辺りで私たち家族だけ遅れがでました。リーダーらしき人が近くまできて、英語で（長い距離漕がないと行けないけれど、大丈夫ですか？）と聞かれました。子供も初めての体験ではないので慣れて行けばどうにかなるかと思い（トライ・チャレンジ）と言う言葉を何回か繰り返しましたが、戻って欲しかったのでしょうか、相手も進ませてくれません。等々、戻る事を決心して戻りました。すると、待っていたかというようにスタッフが待っていて、（おなかが痛いのね、可哀そうに）と言ってきました。ハワイ島は初めてで、ホノルル感覚で訪れたのも反省し、悔しかったのですが、ツアーの説明にこの様な事もあると書いてもいなかったし、だまされた感が残り嫌な気持ちになりました。その後、タクシーを呼んでくれるよう頼んでみたのですが、（わからない）ような事を言われました、しかし、日本に住んでいたらしいアジアの方が伝えてくれてタクシーを呼んで下さいました。（ラッキーでした）
本当にそのアジアの方には感謝です。ありがとうございました。他、書きたい事がありますが、このようなツアーばかりではないと思うし親切な現地の方ともしりあえました。８歳児は無理なのかもしれません。でも、初めから知らせてくれない対応には残念でした---。

I participated with a friend!

It was both of our first times surfing, and we were excited and nervous. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, which made me even more anxious about whether we would understand, but they taught us in slow and gentle English, so we were able to grasp everything.

We practiced on the beach and then headed into the ocean!

The instructor pushed us hard when the waves were good, and I was able to stand on the board and ride the wave on my first try! It was just exhilarating!

After that, the instructor sent us out alternately, which made me feel very secure.

Riding the waves was of course fun, but just floating on the board while waiting for our turns and the waves with my friend felt amazing!

An hour flew by, but by the end, my arms were at their limit, so one hour was just right for beginners.

One thing I definitely recommend is to use sunscreen!!! I don’t usually burn easily, so I didn’t apply much, but since we were lying face down in the water the whole time, my calves and the backs of my thighs got really burned! If you don’t want to get too much sun, please apply sunscreen generously on the back side.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

友達と2人で参加させて頂きました！

2人ともサーフィンをするのは初めてで、ワクワクドキドキ。。
先生は日本語を話せない方だったのでちゃんと分かるのか更にドキドキしましたが
英語がたいして分からない私達でも分かるように、ゆっくりと優しい英語で教えて頂けたのでちゃんと理解することが出来ました。

始めビーチで練習をしていざ海へ！！

先生が良い波の時におもいっきり押してくれるので、1回目でボードの上に立ち波に乗ることが出来ました！！
そりゃもう爽快のひと言！！！

その後も友達と交互に先生が送り出してくれるのでとても安心感がありました。

波に乗ってる時ももちろん面白かったのですが、
友達との順番待ちと波待ちの為にボードの上でプカプカ浮いて居るだけで最高に気持ち良かったです！！

あっという間の１時間
しかし、終わる頃には腕に限界がきていたので初心者には1時間がとてもちょうど良かったです。


ひとつ絶対にした方が良いと思うのは、とにかく日焼けどめです！！！
私はあまり日焼けに抵抗が無いので、そんなに塗っていなかったのですが、
なにせずっとうつ伏せで海に浮かんで居るわけですから、ふくらはぎ、太ももの裏側がものすごーーく焼けます！！
あまり焼けたく無いという方はこれでもかって言うくらい、裏側に日焼け止めを塗って下さい。


また機会があったら参加したいです。

What more can we say? Jessie made our kayak tour the most exciting part of our Kaua'i vacation. He's 100% passionate about the island & maintaining it's splendor. Jessie know the island flora & fauna, as well as very interesting tidbits about the history. He is also an excellent kayaker, who remained calm throughout our outing. One of the 3 couples in our party had their kayak turn over and the wife, a non-swimmer panicked. Jessie made sure all were safe with life preservers securely fastened, despite the slight "adventure." This tour is worth doing again, and again. Thanks Jessie!

My husband and I went on the highest one, 1200, which is described as extreme, but is so fun and extremely relaxing. It feels like you're floating. We're both pretty sketchy about heights, but this was so fun. I want to do it again.

Among the trip to Hawaii with five guys, this activity was particularly memorable and truly addictive. The view of Hawaii from 150 meters above is indescribable, and I highly recommend experiencing it at least once!

I got lost on the way to the meeting point and ended up being late, but they quickly accommodated me by rescheduling to another time.

男5人で行ったハワイ旅行の中でも、特に思い出に残る、本当に病み付きになるアクティビティーでした。上空150メートルから眺めるハワイの景色は、筆舌に尽くしがたく、ぜひ一度体験されてみてはいかかでしょうか！

集合場所までの道で迷ってしまい、予定していた時間には遅れてしまったのですが、すぐに別の時間に回してくれました。

Made my telephone reservation directly with Veltra and the person I spoke to was very helpful and informative, so I was prepared for the day. I have river kayaked for many years, but this was my first experience with sea kayaking, so I wasn't sure how things would go when wind, current, waves and a different style of kayak were added to the mix. I had a great experience with this company! Toby was an excellent instructor and guide and we had a small group, so we received lots of individualized instruction. Beautiful scenery! And Toby shared a lot of Hawaiin history with us which was a nice bonus. My only regret is not taking the 5 hour trip so I could have more paddling time!! Pizza Lunch was good. After lunch, rode a bike 10 minutes to Lanikai beach and enjoyed some great snorkeling! Wonderful day in Oahu!

We participated as a family with no English skills at all. Therefore, we couldn't understand what was being explained and were just paddling the sea kayak.

I would recommend this to those who are fluent in English. The reason is that my high school son underestimated the sea kayak and signed up for a single kayak, but he ended up "exhausted" and couldn't keep up with the speed of the other participants, falling behind. At that time, the guide performed the amazing feat of towing my son's kayak.

It was a day that made me acutely aware of how much I wish I could speak English.

英語が全く出来ない家族での参加でした。よって、何を説明されているのかが理解出来ずに、只々、ｼｰｶﾔｯｸを漕いでいる状態でした。

英語の堪能な方にはお薦めしたいと思いました。
理由は高校生の息子がｼｰｶﾔｯｸを甘く見てsingleで申し込んだのですが、「疲れた果てた」為、他の参加者のｽﾋﾟｰﾄﾞについて行けず、一人遅れての状態となりました。
その際、ｶﾞｲﾄﾞの方が息子のｶﾔｯｸを牽引してくれるという離れ業を行って下さいました。

英語がしゃべれたらなぁ～と痛感した一日でした。

This activity is quite easy and can be completed in one hour. I participated in the 9 o'clock course and was back at the harbor by 10. The meeting point at the harbor is just a short distance from the Hilton Hotel. It's a bit hard to find, so I recommend arriving early. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable activity.

１時間で完了するアクティビティでかなりお手軽です。私は９時からのコースに参加しましたが、１０時にはハーバーに戻ってこられていました。集合先のハーバーはヒルトンホテルからすぐのところです。すこしわかりにくいので早めの集合をおすすめします。総じてスムーズ、楽しいアクティビティでした。

Wow! This was an awesome experience! Our hosts, Ashley and Santino were friendly, knowledgable, helpful and fun! Kayaking was beautiful and snorkeling spectacular! We will definitely do this again the next time we're on the Big Island and we highly recommend you experience this for yourself too!

The Kayak and Snorkel Adventure was great! Our family of 5, including two 10 year olds and a 6 yr old, participated. It was a bit much for our kiddos to paddle the whole way so the majority of the work was on the parents. We were able to get a 3 person kayak for the 6 yr old, a 10 yr old, and a parent. Once we got to the snorkeling location it was fun to snorkel then get out and have fresh pineapple then jump off the cliff into the ocean! The guides were super friendly and very helpful. At times kayaks would fall behind the group and they always had someone who stayed with them just to make sure they were OK. There was never pressure to hurry up, etc. I am giving it a 4 vs. a 5 because we didn't see/go into any sea caves which was one thing we were looking forward to. I would recommend!

I was worried because I have a fear of heights, but when I saw the blue ocean, I felt completely fine! It was a wonderful experience, and I made the best memories!

We did the 600 ft for 6 minutes and wish we would've purchased to get higher! VERY beautiful view, definitely worth it. The take pictures of you for a fee of 30.00 with a SD card to take home with!

I would give this 4 1/2 stars! My husband and I ended up getting a private tour because no one else signed up! Our guide was great (didn't give name)-he constantly was bringing things back up to the surface to show us and was very knowledgable about anything we asked about. I had a very personal and special experience with a female turtle while snorkeling and we saw some while kayaking, but I thought we would see more at the turtle cleaning station. Would recommend this to anyone with experience. The total time was good but we wish it could have been a little longer-our guide didn't want us to be on choppy waters. Our tour was around 3 hrs. They provide you with snacks and water. Our guide was snapping pictures for us and will e-mail them to us for free! Can't wait to see them! Mahalo to our guide and this company!!

Tip: After you are done, ask your guide about the Jaws Food Truck-delicious fish tacos and burritos with snacks and smoothies!

Parasailing was my first experience, but the staff's instructions were easy to understand and they were very friendly, so I had a great time! There was a service (for an additional fee) that took pictures of me while I was on the ride, which made for wonderful memories!

we opted for convenient pickup from our hotel which arrived on time however if you choose to drive - the parking lot seemed empty at the marina. The crew was super friendly and it was a short ride out to open water. Plenty of photo opportunities for Waikiki Beach, surfers and Diamond Head as you had in and out. It wasn't long until the parachute was out and we're up in the air. We did 800 foot line. It's exhilarating yet peaceful up there with great views of the entire island. We were only up there for a few minutes. The crew does take 15-30 pictures while you're up there and will sell it to you for $30 on 4GB SD, which I recommend against it if you already have a GoPro or waterproof camera. Overall I'll say it was a great experience and I do recommend it during your stay.
We'll definitely do this again but with the 1000/1200 foot line.

We had a great tour guide. We selected the beginners package. We had been kayaking before so in retrospect it was not the best option. The kayaking portion lasted about 30 minutes. We spent most of the time exploring the small island we landed on...not what I was expecting.
