You will get completely covered in dust, but the exhilaration of navigating through breathtaking natural scenery and bumpy roads and puddles on a four-wheeler was the best! Even the kids who don't know about Jurassic movies (two elementary school students and one middle school student) were very happy. The guide took wonderful photos at each point!

The only downside is that since you share a large bus with other participants from different tours at Kualoa Ranch, the waiting time on-site can be a bit long for the full-day tour.

Driving the buggy was my first experience, and I was a bit nervous until I got the hang of it, but it wasn't difficult at all, and I quickly became accustomed to it and enjoyed the drive.

We stopped the car about three times, and the guide shared interesting facts like, "This is where that movie was filmed!" and "This terrain was formed in this way!"

We participated as a pair, and at that moment, we were able to switch drivers.

The two hours felt longer than I expected, and towards the end, I did get a little bored, but I was able to enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and the sea, making it a wonderful experience.

I enjoyed two activities each day. As mentioned in the guide, I contacted the team at Viator via email and was able to experience both activities without any issues. Each had its own unique appeal, and my family had a great time. Driving on the left side for the first time was manageable since there was only one lane, and the horses for the riding activity were well-trained and calm, making it safe for the kids to ride. There was a Japanese staff member at the Kualoa Ranch reception, so I generally felt at ease. The individual guides for each activity, as well as the staff at the shops and restaurants, spoke only English, which made for some memorable moments as I tried to communicate with my kids despite the language barrier. The hamburgers were delicious too.

The bus stop for the outbound trip might have had some room for negotiation depending on your accommodation. It was a bit of a distance for an early morning departure in an unfamiliar place. On the return trip, they provided drop-off service not only from Kualoa Ranch but also from other activities directly to individual hotels.

行きのバス乗り場は宿泊先によっては交渉の余地があったかもしれません。不慣れな場所での早朝の出発で、少し距離がありました。帰りはクアロアランチだけでなく他のアクティビティでも個別のホテルまで送ってくれました。

Wow! What an amazing experience. We were so glad we took this tour instead of attempting this ourselves. It was beyond our wildest dreams, like leaving earth and visiting Mars. Just incredible. Our tour guide, Arthur, was extremely knowledgeable. We all learned a tin from him through the tour. I highly recommend him.
The food was from a local restaurant and was delicious. The bus was comfortable and I would not have wanted to drive to the summit in a rental car. That alone was worth the rate.
Also, Parkas and gloves were provided and they were super nice and warm. This tour was by far thi highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Do not hesitate. The experience is incredible and better than we could have possibly imagined. Not to be missed. And...it's cheap when you consider the quality I'd the experience. We LOVED it.

You can experience a total of seven different activities, and there are various challenges along the way, so you won't get bored at all.

It was quite crowded, and there wasn't enough space between our fishing spots and the neighboring ones. I had reserved to use two rods, but ended up using just one. We were the only Japanese people there.

I used a two-hook rig with a body. The bait was cuttlefish. I caught four fish: two Mumehagi (like a tropical version of the Umatsurahagi), one fish that looked like an old man, and one fish that resembled an Eso. I missed two big bites.

The fishing time felt like just under two hours. I think if you can find the bottom, you can catch fish. The current was fast, and everyone was struggling. The fish that looked like an old man probably could have been eaten, but the crew asked us to release it, so we couldn't eat it.

There were no life jackets. It was the first time I fished without one. It might be that there are no laws requiring them overseas. The tour reservation mentioned that water and juice were included, but there was no provision from the boat (perhaps there was an explanation, but as far as I could see, no one around me received anything), so I think it's best to bring your own drinks.

The scenery is very beautiful. Sunscreen is a must.

水、ジュースが含まれるとツアーの予約には書いてありましたが、船からの提供は無かったので(もしかしたら、説明はあったのかもしれませんが、私が見る限り、周りの人も誰も貰ってませんでした)、水分はしっかりと持参したほうが良いと思います。

I was hoping to freely drive around the filming locations at Kualoa Ranch in a buggy! However, we had to follow the guide and could only stop at designated spots during the specified time. I was really looking forward to visiting the giant tree from Jurassic Park, so it was such a disappointment that we couldn't stop there. I think it's better to view the buggy ride as an attraction where you can drive through vast nature. I learned that it's best to join a dedicated tour for movie location visits. But the nature at Kualoa Ranch is truly wonderful!

I was a bit anxious because there were few reviews and no Japanese guide, but it was more fun than I imagined, and the kids were very satisfied!

The tour lasted about two and a half hours and was divided into three main sections:
- A flat road where we could drive about 40 km
- A bumpy road through the jungle
- A course within a playground with steep ups and downs
Each section offered a different kind of enjoyment.

Good points:
- The drive through the vast scenery was cool and pleasant.
- The bumpy road was fun like a roller coaster.
- The guide was very kind.
- Even if you're not good at English, they speak slowly, so it's understandable.
- There are instructions in Japanese.

We had so much fun riding our UTVs. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and it was definitely our favorite activity from our trip to Hawaii. We had worn clothes that could get muddy (as we read in the description) but we had no mud, in fact it was a little dusty. This is all just dependent on weather. It was very pleasant and fun! We rode a tractor-like bus for about 10 minutes to get to the zipline location. There were movie posters here and there, and it seemed like they filmed here. The driver was explaining things, but I couldn't understand in English. I kind of got the atmosphere, though. The zipline instructor was also kind. Of course, it was in English, but I could somewhat understand. They communicated with simple English like, "What animals do you like?" There were only me and my child as Japanese people, but it wasn't scary and was enjoyable!

While there were many visitors at the summit, we occupied a slightly distant scenic spot on this tour. I was able to leisurely enjoy the sunset and the starry sky while eating poke bowls. Since we went up to 3,000 meters, we took breaks along the way, allowing us to ascend at a comfortable pace. I thought this tour would be suitable even for those with weaker legs. I learned a lot about photography and was able to take stunning photos and time-lapses!

I was torn between choosing the sunrise or this tour, but I absolutely recommend this one. Above all, I was touched by the hospitality of our guide, Mr. Yamap, who shared fun stories and even prepared warm drinks for us.

If I had to point out something, it mentioned in the list of items for this tour that a photo of a Japanese driver's license or passport would be acceptable. Due to the bus schedule, we didn't have time to eat lunch on-site, but we thoroughly enjoyed the 2-hour buggy ride.
The driver can be changed during the ride (there were about three change points), and my spouse and I took turns driving while enjoying the stunning views. It was a very satisfying experience.
