Family trip we stayed at King Kamehameha’s Beach Resort. We researched other Kona area Luaus and found this one to be well rated. We really liked the convenience of just walking over from the hotel. The Luau was very well organized in checking people in, helping you find your assigned seats. Great idea on that! Really simplified what could be mass chaos without assigned seating. Food lines and offerings were well organized and kept well stocked. Food was fresh and tasteful. Drink lines moved quickly. The music and show was very entertaining . Lots of fun. We were staying on Oahu and they made all of our flight arrangements, provided a delicious local meal and plenty of snacks and somehow made it back in plenty of time for our evening flight back over to Oahu. We were amazed at how much we were able to see and do all in one day. It is an experience that my family and I will treasure.

During the drive, we were very lucky to see rainbows appearing multiple times, as if it were a blessing from the rain. Our guide, James, continuously explained background information while driving. His kindness in trying to communicate in Japanese using an AI app made me very happy, as he clearly wanted us to enjoy the experience!
Once we entered Mauna Kea, rangers were present at key points to ensure the safety of visitors and showed great respect for the sacred area. No Big island adventure is complete without this Stargazing experience!!! These guys did an excellent job of accommodating our party of 20 - ranging from 4 to 63. They recommended and we rebooked for a 3 AM time due to the new moon and cloud cover - DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Even at that time the kids were alert and engaged.
