The tour guide was so friendly and her knowledge of each and every site visited and of the Hawaiian culture and history was beyond outstanding. Kealakekua Bay Ocean Raft Adventure - Wildlife & Reef Snorkel Tour
We had such a great time!

Big Island Whale Watching Cruise from Waikoloa - Hawaii Nautical [Dec-Mar]
Up and close!
Reviewed by: MM1, 2023/02/18Great experience getting to see the whales up and close. The crew was outstanding and very informative. I highly recommend this excursion if you are ever in the area during the whale’s migratory season. The boat size was perfect. Not too big and crowded and not too small to avoid motion sickness.

Dolphin Quest Hawaii - Dolphin Swim & Encounter at Hilton Waikoloa Village

Reviewed by: Maja, 2023/02/16This was an amazing experience—the dolphins were incredible. We got to hug them, touch them all over, and swim next to them with our hand on their back but not holding on to them. Maddie, our guide, was so warm and informative. I would recommend bringing goggles (swimming or snorkeling) so that you can put your head underwater with your eyes open to see the dolphins swimming under you. I’m surprised that isn’t recommended. Digital photos are VERY expensive ($170 for all of the photos they took, or $55 for one digital photo). That said, it’s a once in a life time experience, so you’ll probably want some photos.

A fantastic experience

Legends of Hawaii Luau Dinner Show with Open Bar at Hilton Waikoloa Village
A great evening
Reviewed by: Billb, 2023/02/04The entertainment was first rate and the food was surprisingly good. You don’t expect food served to hundreds of people at once to be hot and tasty but they have the logistics well organized and the buffet line moves fast.
The fire stick dancers were excellent, and the whole evening had a very authentic feel.

Outstanding!

The food was very well prepared and there was a wide variety of selections. The show was both entertaining as well as informative and all of the performers ( host, dancers, and musicians) were great!!
I would love to do this again some time!

Mantas were amazing
Reviewed by: Jim, 2023/02/04Sea Paradise did a great job. We saw six mantas. I thought the boat trip would be a bit longer. Just a short ride out from shore. So it's not about sailing. But the mantas make up for it.

Kona Manta Ray Snorkel & Night Dive Tour at Keauhou Bay - Sea Paradise
Must do tour!
Reviewed by: Jim, 2023/02/03I was a little nervous about snorkeling at night but I'm so glad I went. It's less of a snorkel and more of a snorkel float where you hold onto a floating mat with LED lights underneath. The mantas were swooping underneath us eating the plankton. It was so calm and magical. Highly recommend.

Dolphin Quest Hawaii - Dolphin Swim & Encounter at Hilton Waikoloa Village
So cool

Great afternoon on the Catamaran whale watching. We saw several whales and I got smartphone video. The captain and crew were professional, pleasant and helpful.

Hawaii Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Cruise from Waikoloa | Kids 0-5 Ride for Free
Great family fun!
Reviewed by: Brett, 2023/01/30Perfect family friendly glass bottom boat tour. At ~35 min, perfect length for our four-year old.
Staff very friendly, marine expert was great at pointing out the different species and interesting traits.
Tour also launches from a very nice, calm protected beach which would be worth visiting again, as the calm waters would allow even the youngest children the chance to walk and splash in the water with maybe a few small fish swimming by.

Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour - Lava & Waterfalls Flight from Hilo
Great Experience
Reviewed by: Vickie, 2022/12/28Tianna was our pilot and was a phenomenal one. She handled that very tiny helicopter without a problem. I have a tendency to be motion-sick and I had zero problems with her at the stick.
We were disappointed that there wasn't any lava flowing but we got great views of Kilauea's craters and the changes since we were last on the Big Island. She made sure everyone got a good view of what we were seeing and was quite knowledgeable about the area.
They give you advice about what to wear and I fully advise everyone to pay attention to it. Temp in the chopper was ~50°F with buffeting winds from the rotors. Because we listened, we were comfortable. The only complaint was the wind was strong enough to make my eyes water and it was hard to see at times. That said, it was a fun experience and I highly recommend it.

Mauna Kea Evening Stargazing & Daytime Solar Viewing Tour with Dinner
Clouds and storms ruined it

Our guide, Hunter, was extremely knowledgeable and tried really hard to wait for some sign of being able to observe anything, but had to cancel with no luck. I can imagine it would have been spectacular to see and hear the wealth of information he would have been able to provide if we could have seen it.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Tour & Tropical Waterfalls Sightseeing from Hilo
This tour includes some amazing stops
Reviewed by: Laura J, 2022/12/03I was lucky to be in a small group for this tour so the guide was very flexible with the schedule and we had enough time to enjoy each place. Our guide was a very knowledgeable local man who knows a lot about Hawaiian history and how the different spots we visited have changed through time.
All the stops we made at the volcano's park were totally worth it but my favorite spot in this tour was the Akaka Falls, what a gorgeous place!!!
